Hello again,
I promise you, they are not meant to be smooth, but to contend for the truth and accuracy of God's word. What I am saying is that we are not under the law period! Jesus met the law's righteous requirements for us, fulfilling it perfectly and completely. Now that Jesus has come, we are under the original covenant that was made with Abraham. Those who have the same faith as Abraham are also credit with righteousness. Those who have the same faith are those whom were being spoken of when God told Abraham that he would be the father of many nations. We are those spiritual descendants, as the following scripture demonstrates:
"Against all hope, Abraham in hope believed and so became the father of many nations, just as it had been said to him, “So The words “it was credited to him” were written not for him alone, but also for us, to whom God will credit righteousness—for us who believe in him who raised Jesus our Lord from the dead. He was delivered over to death for our sins and was raised to life for our justification.
Now that Christ has appeared and we are covered by His righteous blood and because He met the righteous requirements of the law on our behalf, we are free in Christ. I have never put myself under the law as a means to salvation, but have followed after Christ, trusting in Him as the One who provided salvation for me by what He did and not by what I could do.
They are very smooth words Ahwatukee but....How does the new testament tell us the way to love one another? Your tryin to tell me we need not keep Gods 10 commandments because we are givin a new testament commandment “to love one another”. Problem is the new testament scriptures tell us how to “love one another”.
