Because He didn't sin....But He was tempted, "AS WE ARE"!!!!! What part of that can't you wrap your mind around?
Yes we see his temptation in scripture ...the trying of His faith...which is the context of Heb 4 Not some blasphemy that he had sin in the flesh.

No.

I believe He understood our temptations. I believe He was able to resist ALL of them.

I don't think temptations are sin. They are possible future sins.
So the condition described in Romans 7 ..."sin in the flesh" you agree this was not the condition of the Word made flesh?

Take for example our love of self (which is "the law of sin" or "sin dwelling in me").

Jesus said, " "He who loves his life loses it, and he who hates his life in this world will keep it to life eternal." John 12:25

Now notice how Christ was tempted to save Himself:

Luke 22:42 "Father, if it be Thy will, take this cup (my death) away from me; yet not my will but Yours be done!"

Christ's will, momentarily, opposed His Father's will to save the human race through His death. But He caught Himself and submitted, not to His temptation, but the will of His Father.

This proves that Christ as the son of man had to deal with "sin in the flesh", that is, He was tempted by our love of self. That's what iniquity is...it's our bent-to-self or self-love.
That's a trial of faith...not "sin" in the flesh. You don't seem to understand the difference?

Well the context is in the trying of our faith...not in the lust of the flesh... read Heb 4 in context

Heb 4:6 Seeing therefore it remaineth that some must enter therein, and they to whom it was first preached entered not in because of unbelief:
7 Again, he limiteth a certain day, saying in David, To day, after so long a time; as it is said, To day if ye will hear his voice, harden not your hearts.
8 For if Jesus had given them rest, then would he not afterward have spoken of another day.
9 There remaineth therefore a rest to the people of God.
10 For he that is entered into his rest, he also hath ceased from his own works, as God did from his.
11 ¶ Let us labour therefore to enter into that rest, lest any man fall after the same example of unbelief.

In context of Hebs 4 ....Jesus faith was tempted ...not some sin nature in Him
What does verse 15 mean "in all points"?

Hebrews 4:15 KJV
For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin.

First lets admit that's a translation from the Greek and in the Greek it does not read that strong nor is the word "points" in the text. The Greek very easily could read that he was tempted in all manner of trails as we are ...in clear context of trail of faith...NOT sin in the flesh...

Heb 4:14 Seeing then that we have a great high priest, that is passed into the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our profession. (of faith)

Then His mind, as the son of man, couldn't have been tempted, period! To be tempted to sin you must have something in you that responds to external stimuli. Since your old life from Adam was in Christ when He died (see Rom 6:6), then your old life had to be in him from birth. There's no way around it...
I don't think you fully understand the relationship between the body and the soul and how they interact. The (5) major pasts of our humanity that make up the soul are:

- the mind
- the emotions
- the volition
- the conscience
- the self conscious or God conscious capacity

In the fall Adam went from God consciousness to self consciousness and we from birth go from self consciousness to God consciousness when we are born again and receive the indwelling Spirit. This is when our human spirit is lit up for the first time as the candle of the Lord (Prov 20:27). We should talk about this in relationship to Christ and man and the issue that involves Christ becoming sin. Unless a man is touched by the Holy Spirit in his human spirit he has only moral to walk in because we are not born with the true light of the Holy Spirit. Without the human spirit being kindled continually through the entrance of the word, God's promises and the filling of the Spirit we would go astray in our soul and our body would reflect that through the impulses of the flesh that would be stimulated by those things that are in the world through corruption and lust.

Well, no, of course not. (I mean yes, I agree...)

The Lord was able to perform the Law. He was able to perform the Good that He wanted to perform.

He knew our predicament, but He was able to overcome it.

We are not able. Without Christ we can do nothing.

Out of context. That is not speaking of Christ....Come on, don't try to pull the wool over my eyes.

We are tempted from within. Jesus was tempted as we are....It's just that simple, unless you can't read too well....

I don't believe there are any mistakes in the bible. The Greek can be made to say just about anything one wants it to say. We can never understand God's word if we try to change it to make it fit our view.

So, you are no longer selfish? You only exhibit agape? Your motive is to live for other with no thought of yourself?

Keep in mind this: "Let no man seek his own, but every man another's wealth." 1 Cor 10:24

NO.

I don't believe that the Lord had sin the way we do.

He had flesh. So he knew/knows the appetites of that flesh.

But He was able to overcome this by His Will and submission to the Father.

No the Greek is correct..thats what the bible was written in ...Now clearly your a KJV only guy? But im a guy who trust the Greek not a translation ... You made a direct quote that included a word God never had wrote in the bible . I believe the context of the passage as it cleary relates to the testing of faith...not sin in the flesh makes my point apart from any issue of translation .... but I do clearly believe this is a poor translations from the KJV.

If I understand the question, I believe sin is a spiritual force, I mean if we are comparing it to an emotional, mental, or physical force?? I don't know for sure, it is just what came to me when I read your OP. I think it's a good topic and was interested (definitely interested) in discussing it, denise

I think that's reasonable ...but some are trying to assert that Christ had sin in the flesh

Nope.

The Lamb of God was/is Perfect in every way. Unblemished. No sin.

Its speaking of our trial of faith and relating it to the Lord test of faith...not sin in the flesh.

Look at the definition, it means in all manner or in all means or as the KJV put it, all points.

πᾶς pâs, pas; including all the forms of declension; apparently a primary word; all, any, every, the whole:—all (manner of, means), alway(-s), any (one), × daily, + ever, every (one, way), as many as, +no(-thing), X thoroughly, whatsoever, whole, whosoever.
