No it says He took our sins...not our punishment

1Pe 2:24 Who his own self bare our sins

Don't you believe the bible?
It also says this happened on the cross...not when He was born

So how did our sins get in His body on the cross? If sin cannot be imputed?
q1: How do you impute sin?

q2: Why does it matter if He took sin at the incarnation or sin at the cross?

Either way He assumed our condemned humanity.

I don't believe your voodoo interpretation of it.

What did God do, glue intangible sins to Christ's body? I mean come on!

1 ..The God that made all things and can do all things imputed our sin just as scriptures declare ...do you not believe God is able to do what He says?

2.. It matters for many reasons ..first and foremost, because its not true and no lie is of the truth.

So what other translation do you need? Can you not understand evident words?

Do you not believe the God of the bible can do what He says?

If you think Christ is/was a lamb then it is you who are demeaning and blaspheming God. God is not an animal. It is clearly a metaphor.

Those weren't answers.....

Here's my summation of you: You can't think outside the box of traditionalism. This, undoubtedly, leads to error and heresy.

Rom 8:2 "For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has set me free from the law of sin and death."

Q: Are you personally free from a] "the law of sin", which Paul defines as indwelling sin (our love of self) and b] mortality?

A: No, as individuals from Adam we still retain a sinful nature and we are still mortal.

So what is Paul saying?

Paul is saying that the power of the Spirit (the law of the Spirit) in the humanity of Christ defeated "the law of sin" (the sin nature) and therefore Christ has legally defeated "sin in the flesh" and "death"!

Therefore "in Christ" we have a glorified humanity free from a] the sin nature and b] mortality. In Christ we are sinless and immortal. That's our position "in Christ" in the heavenly places. In Him we stand blameless. This is the essence of justification by faith alone.

Yes????????????????????

It seems to me that you are seeing the bible as simply a book written by men, rather then a spiritual read. It takes the Holy Spirit to interpret the bible because the Holy Spirit is Who it is written by.

[h=1]2 Peter 1:21New King James Version (NKJV)[/h] [SUP]21 [/SUP]for prophecy never came by the will of man, but holy men of God[SUP][a][/SUP] spoke as they were moved by the Holy Spirit.

I Corinthians 2:14-16): 14)

“But the natural man does not receive the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him; nor can he
know them, because they are spiritually discerned. 15) But he who is spiritual judges all things, yet he himself is rightly judged by no one. 16) For “who has known the mind of the Lord that he may instruct Him?” But we have the mind of Christ.”

Roberth, if you truly believe the bible is telling us that Jesus is an animal (sheep) then you are seriously misunderstanding God's Word, or you are just being silly.

Abraham said, "God will provide for Himself the lamb for the burnt offering, my son."

For you know that it was not with perishable things such as silver or gold that you were redeemed from the empty way of life handed down to you from your ancestors, but with the precious blood of Christ, a lamb without blemish or defect.

He was led like a lamb to the slaughter.
And as a sheep is silent before the shearers,
he did not open his mouth.

The next day he saw Jesus coming to him and said, "Behold, the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world!"

Clean out the old leaven so that you may be a new lump, just as you are in fact unleavened. For Christ our Passover also has been sacrificed.

All who dwell on the earth will worship him, everyone whose name has not been written from the foundation of the world in the book of life of the Lamb who has been slain.

So, you are no longer selfish? You only exhibit agape? Your motive is to live for other with no thought of yourself?

Keep in mind this: "Let no man seek his own, but every man another's wealth." 1 Cor 10:24
The simplicity that we have in Christ is that we walk by faith and by doing so the Holy Spirit sheds the love of God in our hearts (Rom 5:5). Their is no striving in that and no sweaty effort to keep the law, just an attitude of faith-rest in God's promises. Doing righteousness is trusting God, acknowledging him in all our ways and leaning not to our own understanding (Prov 3:5-8). This is how we keep the law and not depart from the commandments. The work of this righteousness is according to the following...

Is 32:17-18

17 And the work of righteousness shall be peace; and the effect of righteousness quietness and assurance for ever.
18 And my people shall dwell in a peaceable habitation, and in sure dwellings, and in quiet resting places;

Jer 17:5-8

5 Thus saith the Lord; Cursed be the man that trusteth in man, and maketh flesh his arm, and whose heart departeth from the Lord.
6 For he shall be like the heath in the desert, and shall not see when good cometh; but shall inhabit the parched places in the wilderness, in a salt land and not inhabited.
7 Blessed is the man that trusteth in the Lord, and whose hope the Lord is.
8 For he shall be as a tree planted by the waters, and that spreadeth out her roots by the river, and shall not see when heat cometh, but her leaf shall be green; and shall not be careful in the year of drought, neither shall cease from yielding fruit.
