No, we all haven't done the deed. I've never, ever done the deed. Not once. Some of us have some semblance of self control and aren't slaves to impulses. Don't lump all of us in the same basket because most of you men are weak of will.
I understand, guess I'm not as strong as you. Thank God for your abstinence. You speak of will, what will your will bring you? Can a murderer get saved?

RobbyEarl....to answer your question "Can a murderer get saved?"

A former pastor of mine knew a Christian man who visited the prison where two inmates were on death row. They had tortured and murdered a dear sweet Christian woman. The visitor was her son! It took all the guts and gumption and the infilling of the Holy Spirit for this man to face those two inmates who had killed his mother, but he witnessed to them, shared JESUS with them and they truely repented and gave their lives to JESUS CHRIST, before they were executed. That was a few decades ago. The Christian man is now in eternity. Think about it. Today, at this very moment, that Christian man, his mom, and the two murderers that sent her to heaven are all rejoicing together in eternity! It blows my mind, but ....YES...a murderer can get saved. Paul (formerly Saul) murdered plenty of people that called themselves "CHRISTIANS", and yet Paul became the very 1st missionary to the gentile nation.

Okay King David murdered His best man ( one of His 60 men) to sleep with Bathsheba. He saw here bathing on a roof and longed for her. But God called him a man after His own heart.

When we accept the work of the cross and confess our sins we are saved. Moses was a murderer. Understand

Depends, the act is typically associated with lust.

Depends, the act is typically associated with lust.
It is typically a sin of Pleasure but becomes a sin of pride and leads to bondage as all sin does.

Sorry if this has already been touched on (no pun intended), but I asked the pastor at my church if it was wrong to masturbate and he replied, "It depends on what you're thinking about when you do it." Since I'm married and most of my fantasies evolve around my wife I figured I was in the clear. Is there any biblical scriptures that forbid this act directly? I know Jesus says than when a man has lustful thoughts he's laready commited adultery in his heart but my wife was injured in a car accident so intimacy is not availble at this time. Also I read an article last week in Men's Health saying that masturbation is healthy as it lowers the cortisol levels in the blood stream reducing stress and helping manage insomnia. Any thoughts appreciated, thanks.
Please for give me in the tone I am going to have to your question. The Topic of " Self Gratification" does come up often. By Trolls, those who have issues with it, and serious questions too. I try to make sure in answering to decern before I answer , and wonder if the question when it was asked ;the person really took into concideration what they said in the question when they asked it.

So Your Pastor told you it depends on what you are thinking about when you self- Gratify ? strike one I hear that a lot.
With issues like this today most Pastors today they know that Prono is a big problem with men in the church. And this is an issue of fantasy not reallity and because the act is so unfulfilling ( short lib) it must be done more often to satisfy which never happens completely . That is how the flesh works read in James1:14-16
2. And again please forgive my tone I mean no disrespect. You said " Since I'm Married and most of my fantasies evolve around my wife I figured I was in the clear".
How would your wife feel knowing that you mentioned that is this setting? Do you think that is respecting your wife telling the forum that ? Could that be embarrassing to her? This is the problem with Self-Gradifcation IT cares about nobody but themselves. And we try to Justify the action by bring our wife into it and it has nothing to do with her "it only about me". I understand the issue of lack of intimacy I only ask if you have made that known to her ? And how she feels about that.

Fornication is any sexual activity done before marriage !!!

Adultery is any sexual activity done after marriage with anybody other then spouse (including thought of another) !!!
Nope. Study a little more.

Matthew 5:32 "But I say unto you, That whosoever shall put away his wife, saving for the cause of fornication......."
4202 NT - Greek[porneia]
porneia por-ni'-ah from [porneuw] - porneuo 4203; harlotry (including adultery and incest); figuratively, idolatry:--fornication.
In this instance, while it does occur during marriage, that isn't the only time it can happen. Fornication is simply impure sexual acts. That covers everything outside of sex designed by God. Before or after marriage. Period.

Friend, are you saying you have never sinned? Sin is a conscience act done against good advice while knowing it is wrong. But that's a silly question, isn't it? I mean a "man" with the kind of sterling self-control you have would never do such a thing.
Every man has his weakness, his own demon to fight. For some it is fornication, for some it is drink, for some it is smoke, for some it is lying, for some it is cursing.............every man but you, sorry, I almost forgot.
Your arrogance will be a snare for you if you don't drop it. You will be caught up in something that you can't control with that kind of foolish talk. I would strongly urge you to rethink your statement and reflect on what sin that bedevils you.

The problem with Masturbation is not if its a sin or not. Its all about lust. That which you lust after does become your god.

Example would be lusting after Gold or money. When you lust for Gold, then that Gold becomes your god.

So be careful about that which you Masturbate for.

No, fornication involves another person.
Where did I say it didn't ???

What I said is it is any sexual activity done before marriage, and if a person is masturbating before marriage then 9 times out 10 they are thinking about some person (lusting). Therefore it still qualifies as Jesus showed it does not have to be the actual physical act, even lusting in the heart to want to do it is already as bad !!!

I have studied it and that is actual one of the bad translations from the KJV, because fornication should have never been used there because the definition of fornication is sexual activity before marriage !!!

Those that have defined the words and added on to the Greek word porneia has smeared the lines between adultery and fornication. They both are about sexual activity, but have completely different meanings !!!

It's exactly the same thing, you just don;t want to admit it. Touching yourself to the point of spilling seed in a Kleenex, a tube sock , the floor or the shower drain is exactly the same as chewing your fingernails or picking your nose - a filthy habit.

Now, maybe I speak from a different position because I am not a slave to my impulses and I haven't touched myself like a pervert in over 20 years, but what does that really matter? Masturbation is disgusting. It's shameful. It demonstrates that men have no willpower over their hormones, and that is really sad..especially from guys who think they are so tough or strong. Not having control over one's hormones means you're a weakling. A sissy. A girly boy. I feel sorry for men who have to arm wrestle themselves in private to the point of orgasm. I wish they had some kind of strength. But, we men can't all be the same, and a lot of you are just betas.
You seem to have some serious pent up frustrations. You display lot's of anger regarding what some/many/all people do behind closed doors.

It is funny though that someone who isn't even saved yet simply doesn't do it, while the majority of the church needs prayer for it and believe they're a slave to sin while they could simply say no to their flesh because they have a new nature.
I saw this with smoking. I threw demons out, had I don't know how many people pray for me, struggled for 5 years to stop and start again with nicotin chewing gum. Lol then I saw an atheist collegue. He said: smoking is not healthy for me and he simply stopped.

LOL....that is so typical in our churches today....what all that is, is a manifestation of eating from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil....we get preached the law at church...or a tradition based on some law...and then the strength of sin is the law...then not knowing our true identity in what Christ has done for us in His finished work....we get caught in the circle" of being good and then bad because we are trying to be "good"....we need the gospel of the grace of Christ to be our foundation. He is our life and victory now....we can't live without Him.

I think we need to pray for this guy. His post is inappropriate even in a thread about masturbation. He is not married yet claims to have not masturbated for over 20 years. Further, his use of the term BETA as a pejorative, may indicate some esteem issues. Brother Utah is right I believe that he is angry about something.

Dear Lord, please help this man with whatever issue he is going through. In Jesus name.

I agree. The tone of condemnation and arrogance and pride in his post exhibits a spirit, well, not of Christ.
I could not ever imagine our Lord responding to someone like that who is making a genuine effort to get an answer on what is or is not sinful.
God, give this man a heart of compassion and understsnding.
