LET’S TALK ABOUT RIGHTEOUSNESS (Nov 17, 2020)

That which the Child of God lives unto is RIGHTEOUSNESS or we are not living

1 Peter 2:23-25
23 Who, when he was reviled, reviled not again; when he suffered, he threatened not; but committed himself to him that judgeth righteously:
24 Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto RIGHTEOUSNESS: by whose stripes ye were healed.
25 For ye were as sheep going astray; but are now returned unto the Shepherd and Bishop of your souls.

All of God’s Words are in RIGHTEOUSNESS

Proverbs 8:8
All the words of my mouth are in RIGHTEOUSNESS; there is nothing froward or perverse in them.

His RIGHTEOUSNESS and the RIGHTEOUSNESS of His Words are only revealed in the gospel

Romans 1:16-17
16 For I am not ashamed of THE GOSPEL of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.
17 For THEREIN IS THE RIGHTEOUSNESS OF GOD REVEALED from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith.

REVEALED to them who go from faith in God’s Word in the context of the Gospel to faith in God’s Word in the context of the Gospel as His RIGHTEOUSNESS is REVEALED to them.

The Cross of Christ is the only avenue of God’s RIGHTEOUSNESS being revealed (Galatians 2:21)

Bread Crumbs “Choose Your Words Wisely” November 18

When a person is going through a trial that weighs heavily upon their heart and mind, any word of discouragement can seem just too hard to bear. With emotions already on the edge of breaking, even the slightest extra weight can be the straw that breaks the proverbial camel’s back. People all around us are going through things that we cannot see, bearing burdens we are unaware of, having heartaches that we cannot discern. Not every person wears their emotions on their sleeve. But still, a too sharp word, a disappointing moment, or an uncaring gesture can push the person into despair. As Christians, we should always be aware of how our actions impact those around us. Just because we are not aware of the situation of another, does not give us purpose or license to be cruel and insensitive. The Bible tells us to salt our speech with grace. This means that our mouth should be filled with gracious words towards others. Our words should be words that encourage and build up. We should be in the business of edifying people. Perhaps it is time to be a little more sensitive to the people who are traveling through life all around us.

Colossians 4:6 - Let your speech be alway with grace, seasoned with salt, that ye may know how ye ought to answer every man.

The Miracle of God’s Word

Hebrews 2:12
Saying, I will declare thy name unto my brethren, in the midst of the church will I sing praise unto thee.

Jesus trusted in His Heavenly Father’s plan and commandment for Him (John 10:18), and because of His obedience unto death on the cross (Philippians 2:8), He now has an Eternal Family, and He declares our Heavenly Father’s name in our midst and we all sing praises to Him! Jesus is God the Son, King of all Kings and Lord of all Lords, yet He is our Savior and elder Brother forever! Wow!! How blessed is the family of God!

Because He sanctified Himself (John 17:19), He can sanctify all that believe upon Him through His Truth (John 17:17). This sanctification of Himself and His sanctifying of us through the Truth all happened at the Cross (Hebrews 10:29). There is absolutely NO experience of Sanctification without faith in the Cross of Jesus Christ. We as Believers were Sanctified when we were saved from our sins, but the Command is for us to learn to possess our vessels in Sanctification and honor (1 Thessalonians 4:4). Every step of our Salvation along the way all the way to the finish line requires faith in the blood of Jesus!

LET’S TALK ABOUT RIGHTEOUSNESS (Nov 18, 2020)

The one and only place one can “Walk after the Spirit” is to walk according to the New Covenant Law, which is the Law of the Spirit of Life “In Christ Jesus”, for there, and there alone initially and daily, do we find the deliverance, liberty and freedom from the Law of Sin and Death.

Most Christians do not know this great Truth, and most of the ones who hear it will deny it simply because they have God’s presence, but remember, His presence is not His approval in what we are believing or involved in, for He will never leave us nor will He forsake us even when He is grieved.

The RIGHTEOUSNESS of The Law-The Law of The Spirit

Let’s say it this way, “The RIGHTEOUSNESS of The Law of The Spirit

Romans 8:1-4
1 There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but AFTER THE SPIRIT.
2 For the LAW OF THE SPIRIT of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death.
3 For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh:
4 That THE RIGHTEOUSNESS OF THE LAW MIGHT BE FULFILLED IN US, WHO WALK not after the flesh, but AFTER THE SPIRIT.

Because we know that our freedom from the Law of Sin and Death came exclusively through faith IN the Cross of Christ, we know the Law of The Spirit speaks exclusively concerning our faith IN that work of Christ.

Bread Crumbs “Get Back Up!” November 19

God does not depart from us because of our failings, but separation from God can occur through our failure to believe. The world of religion has great problems with this statement. The self-righteous will strongly oppose this declaration. But those who understand the work of redemption are gladdened by this truth. God never condones sin! When we accept Christ as our personal Savior, the Holy Spirit takes up residence within. The believer is given a position of righteousness, that is, the righteousness of Christ is imputed to their spiritual account. God legally declares that person as perfect. This legal declaration is known as justification. But the condition of the believer is far from perfect. At salvation, we are given the divine “equipment” that is necessary to reshape us into the image of Christ. Justification remains the sole grounds for the continued presence of God within us and progressive sanctification is the work of the Spirit affecting our condition. Faith in Christ and His redemptive work on Calvary is what activates the Spirit of God to work in us. Faith allows us to depend upon or status of justification whenever we fall short of God's glory. Only a lack of faith in Christ will eliminate one from God's marvelous redemption plan. Get back up!

The Miracle of God’s Word

Hebrews 2:13
And again, I will put my trust in him. And again, Behold I and the children which God hath given me.

The prophetic declaration we see in this Scripture was declared by Isaiah in Chapter 8 verses 17 and 18. These Words refer to Jesus Christ committing His soul to the One who judges Righteously (1 Peter 2:23). Jesus humbled Himself and became obedient unto death on the Cross (Philippians 2:8) as He trusted in His Heavenly Father’s perfect plan that would bring us into His sheep fold. He declared through the prophet Isaiah over 750 years earlier that not only would He trust in God, but also through Him would all of God’s Children be given to Him to trust in Him! Oh what great joy it is to be learning of Christ!

When we look to the Cross, we will see the greatness of every attribute of our faithful God through which He has revealed Himself to all who believe and trust in Him. God is Love (1 John 4:8, 16) and His Love was manifest in Christ at the Cross (1 John 4:9-10), therefore at the Cross of Christ, God was revealing who He really is to all who will believe upon Him by trusting in that Finished Work of Jesus Christ on the Cross for the forgiveness of their sins, and the Grace they need daily to do the works of their Heavenly Father.

LET’S TALK ABOUT RIGHTEOUSNESS (Nov 19, 2020)

The Lord will be found faithfully adding everything we need according to His will to our lives if we are seeking His Kingdom, and HIS RIGHTEOUSNESS before all things

Matthew 6:33
33 But seek ye FIRST the kingdom of God, and his RIGHTEOUSNESS; and all these things shall be added unto you.

NOT what we do, but rather what we believe, shows The Lord what we are seeking, as our faithful Lord looks upon the heart (1 Samuel 16:7).

Romans 6:17-18
17 But God be thanked, that ye were the servants of sin, but ye have obeyed/believed from the heart that form of doctrine which was delivered you.
18 Being then made free from sin, ye BECAME THE SERVANTS OF RIGHTEOUSNESS.

If our faith remains in the very thing that made us RIGHTEOUS and servants of His RIGHTEOUSNESS, we will find our Lord faithfully adding ALL things to our lives.

Bread Crumbs “The Prince of Peace” November 20

One of the greatest benefits of knowing Jesus Christ personally is His ability to give the believer peace that passes all understanding. Let's be honest; some days just aren't filled with joy and gladness. Some days are filled with bitter disappointment, disconcerting opposition, and impossible odds. Fear has the ability to rise up in all of us. While the believer will experience fear, he or she should never let it dominate their heart and mind. Faith never guarantees the total absence of fear. Faith properly placed is the solution required for overcoming fearful thoughts and situations. So when the day has not been good and fear has reared its ugly head, surrender your needs to the Prince of Peace. This is one of the title names given to Jesus Christ. His work on the Cross guarantees provision in every circumstance you encounter. Even though we may not see the solution we require, when we sense the presence of Christ spreading calm into our troubled heart and mind, we are comforted in knowing that God will manifest the answer we need. A believer can literally bask in this sense of peace, this euphoria, this delight that only Jesus has the ability to produce. Let the Prince of Peace reign in your life, today.

Isaiah 9:6 - For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.

The Miracle of God’s Word

Hebrews 2:14
Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, he also himself likewise took part of the same; that through death he might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil;

Jesus took “PART” of the same, referring to His taking on of flesh, but note here that He only took “PART” of the make up of man, but not the exact make up of man. He was born without a Sin Nature because He was not reproduced by men, but rather conceived by the Holy Spirit (Matthew 1:18-20). Even the Virgin Birth of Jesus Christ is symbolic of our Born Again experience as Children of God, because we were Born Again without the involvement of men, but by the incorruptible Word of God which lives and abides forever (1 Peter 1:23).

Now we will also see in this verse that Jesus took the power of death from the devil “THROUGH HIS DEATH.” He did not take it from him through the resurrection, but through His humility and obedience unto DEATH on the Cross. Death, no matter how you look it always speaks of separation. Everyone who has ever been born of man was born a sinner, which means they were DEAD in their trespasses and (Ephesians 2:1, Colossians 2:13), and SEPARATED from God. The DEATH of Jesus Christ was when Jesus took the power of DEATH/SEPARATION away from the devil, and offered RECONCILIATION to all who will believe upon Him. The devil has never been to hell, and Jesus didn’t have to go there to defeat him, nor to take the keys of death and hell away from him. That is all man made and very unbiblical, because Jesus said, “It is Finished” on the Cross. Let us cling to Sound Doctrine and follow Truth and not men!

LET’S TALK ABOUT RIGHTEOUSNESS (Nov 20, 2020)

1 Corinthians 1:30
But of him are ye in Christ Jesus, who of God is made unto us wisdom, and RIGHTEOUSNESS, and sanctification, and redemption:

RIGHTEOUSNESS is one of the four things listed in this Scripture that Jesus was made for us at Calvary
Within the realm of these four blessings we will find everything we will ever need for our daily lives and all of eternity

All four of these things can only be seen, imparted and experienced through faith in Christ and His work at the Cross, for outside of that avenue, it is only us attempting to become these things ourselves. He was made these things for us. Quit trying to obtain these things that Christ alone is and can become to you through your simple faith in His work at the Cross!

The answer is SIMPLE, but the FIGHT to keep THIS FAITH will not be!
We March On!

Bread Crumbs “Receiving Constructive Criticism” November 21

The people who really love us and care for our well-being are people who will occasionally see the need to deliver a striking rebuke or reproof towards some aspect of our actions or character. Rebukes are never pleasant. Reproof is never popular. Who wants to hear that they are wrong and need to change? None of us! We should be mature enough to recognize a word which is accurate and right. In that case, we must accept the truth. Even though it stings when it is first delivered, we should set about to change that which needs to be changed. This can only be accomplished by the help and grace of God. There is no benefit in becoming stiff-necked and hard-hearted towards the individual that has helped us to see the truth about ourselves. Understand that not every reproof offered is presented by someone that can accurately see the situation. Some words of reproof are spoken from a heart filled with jealousy, envy, and a lack of true concern. But good people who love us enough to tell us the truth should be considered a “Godsend” and a true friend indeed. Thanks to them, we will be refined spiritually, and we shall advance our relationship with God.

Psalm 141:5 - Let the righteous smite me; it shall be a kindness: and let him reprove me; it shall be an excellent oil, which shall not break my head: for yet my prayer also shall be in their calamities.

The Miracle of God’s Word

Hebrews 2:15
And deliver them who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage.

Through death, Jesus took the power of death away from the devil (v.14), to be able to deliver all who will believe upon Him from the fear of death, which is a lifetime of bondage without trusting Him and His work on the Cross. If we, as the Children of God, do not stand fast in the liberty in which we were made free (Galatians 5:1), we will find ourselves entangled again in the yoke of bondage.

It is either trust in Christ everyday, through faith in His work on the Cross, or it is bondage. Bondage for the Christian is so awful, as it requires a whole lot of faking and putting on of certain faces around certain people, but the freedom that comes with trusting in Christ is always liberating and conforms us into His very image. For centuries 99.9% of the Church has not known ANYTHING about “HOW” the Cross of Christ pertains to their DAILY living, but have thought it was only for initial Salvation. When we begin to learn to deny ourselves, take up our Cross and follow Christ (Luke 9:23), we will begin to experience Christianity biblically!!

LET’S TALK ABOUT RIGHTEOUSNESS (Nov 21, 2020)

We, for too long have used so many Scriptures in the context of ONLY initial Salvation because we didn’t know the Way of Sanctification, which is the same Way as Justification, through faith in the Cross of Christ alone!

Not only are we required to believe with the heart unto RIGHTEOUSNESS as first time Believers, but because we also live daily by faith that comes by hearing God’s Word (Romans 10:17), and knowing that ALL of His Words are IN RIGHTEOUSNESS, we must DAILY believe with the heart unto RIGHTEOUSNESS.

Proverbs 8:8
All the words of my mouth are in RIGHTEOUSNESS; there is nothing froward or perverse in them.

Romans 10:10
For with the heart man believeth unto RIGHTEOUSNESS; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

Every Word of God is IN RIGHTEOUSNESS, and His RIGHTEOUSNESS is only revealed in the Gospel, therefore every Word of God must be SEEN in the Light of the Gospel of Jesus Christ

Wow, look at this verse. It shuts down any other "way" preachers or people will tell you how to live this life and get victory outside of the Message of the Cross.

The sting of death is sin, and THE STRENGTH OF SIN IS THE LAW. But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. 1 Cor. 15:56-57.

This verse is not speaking of an act of sin, but the sin nature. The word law is not just speaking of the law of Moses, but any law or thing that we think we can do or try to do to live for God by our own selves or will power. This will only STRENGTHEN the sin nature. The only answer for the sin nature is the shed blood of Jesus on the Cross and our faith in that finished work alone. If we began trusting in anything else, knowing it or not, then we are committing spiritual adultery and the sin nature and the flesh will dominate us.

I challenge you to do this. Go to your preacher and ask him how to live for God and how to get victory over sin and see what he tells you. So many will agree with the Message of the Cross but are still in places that aren't preaching it, so how can we truly be fed and grow. I only say these things out of love, not division, because I was in the same place.

Amen Brother! Faith in anything other than the work of Christ at Calvary is Law, because it is something I have to do instead of faith in what Jesus did for me at Calvary! When we have a mixture it makes us double-minded, for God says when we are double-minded, we can’t expect to receive anything from the Lord (James 1:5-8). Preach on!!

The testimony of all those in Heaven is always the same and it's always all about The Lamb of God: Christ and Him Crucified saying, "You were slain, and have redeemed us to God by Your Blood" Rev.5:9. If you want to be among that number you will do well to make no room for anything else now - 1Cor.2:2!
