Started this thread a long time ago? You've only been here for 8 or 9 days..lol..
I'm not reviling you, by saying that were you thinking I said something wrong ? I didn't say anything wrong. What may you think proves precisely that I said wrong, if that's what you thought ?

Some of my judgement is that in the first post of this thread was put "To some people it may appear that I should have started this thread a long time ago."

I didn't say who the people were, there are other people outside this forum who have experience of me and it may be thought that you don't know all who I've discussed things with by private message in this website.

For God has consigned all to disobedience, that he may have mercy on all.
(Rom 11:32)
I have been testing you as commanded in 1 John 4:1.

1 John 4:1

Dear friends, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, because many false prophets have gone out into the world.

I didn't think at all that you said something wrong. :)
It's right to be in agreement that I didn't say something wrong and that I wasn't being foolish.

I was testing you to hopefully see your answer, to see what your level of thinking is and I wasn't being selfish and arrogant.

 you got it all wrong my brother
your understanding were not our understanding (for this not comes from our own)
for what example i want to tell you is those curved idols (like those on the country of india)
were made upon from their gods that their ancestors had seen on the past
which shall be changed but not still completed (for now)
until that time comes
as they say
how did peter known that it was moises and elias este what we meant
moses and elijah were those people that were speaking unto
our lord jesus christ the only begotten son of god spoked with
during that time
as it is written
:read:
Matthew 17:3
Suddenly, Moses and Elijah appeared to them and were talking with Jesus.

for almost time past by and how long those years took place
and still peter recognize them
tell me your understanding about this
my brother

:ty:

godbless us all always

Well, verse 12 starts with "therefore" - so it's in conclusion to the verses that come before it...

Matthew 7:7-12: “Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened. Or what man is there among you who, if his son asks for bread, will give him a stone? Or if he asks for a fish, will he give him a serpent? If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give good things to those who ask Him!......... Therefore, whatever you want men to do to you, do also to them, for this is the Law and the Prophets"

Because of God's goodness and faithfulness in giving good gifts to His children, we're also to do good to others.

It's easier to forgive others when God had mercy on us, even though we did not deserve it.

The focus here is on love.

Other scriptures that come to mind, in relation to this...

Matthew 5:43-48: “You have heard that it was said, ‘You shall love your neighbor and hate your enemy.’ But I say to you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who spitefully use you and persecute you, that you may be sons of your Father in heaven; for He makes His sun rise on the evil and on the good, and sends rain on the just and on the unjust. For if you love those who love you, what reward have you? Do not even the tax collectors do the same? And if you greet your brethren only, what do you do more than others? Do not even the tax collectors do so? Therefore you shall be perfect, just as your Father in heaven is perfect"

Matthew 22:36-40: “Teacher, which is the great commandment in the law?” Jesus said to him, “‘You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.’ This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like it: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ On these two commandments hang all the Law and the Prophets.”

Leviticus 19:17-18: ‘You shall not hate your brother in your heart. You shall surely rebuke your neighbor, and not bear sin because of him. You shall not take vengeance, nor bear any grudge against the children of your people, but you shall love your neighbor as yourself: I am the Lord"

Thanks, that was helpful. Thinking about the first post of this thread, do you think it's right of a person to use Matthew 7:12 to judge how to sound their voice and which words to use when making a post like yours for this thread, also thinking about what condition the readers of the post may be in ?

Everything should be done (and said) in love.

The forums do get heated because there are a mix of wheat and tares here, so there will always be defenders of the truth and those who believe and post the various false doctrines/heresies. Defenders of the truth can get so passionate but pride can sometimes get in the way, so something for all to watch for.

We are supposed to expose false teachings. Unfortunately the one on the receiving end often perceives it as a personal attack on themselves, rather than the teaching itself. While we hate the false doctrine, we don't hate the person, rather trying to show them how it doesn't line up with scripture and hoping that others won't be deceived by what is posted.

2 Timothy 4:1-5: "I charge you therefore before God and the Lord Jesus Christ, who will judge the living and the dead at His appearing and His kingdom: Preach the word! Be ready in season and out of season. Convince, rebuke, exhort, with all longsuffering and teaching. For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine, but according to their own desires, because they have itching ears, they will heap up for themselves teachers; and they will turn their ears away from the truth, and be turned aside to fables. But you be watchful in all things, endure afflictions, do the work of an evangelist, fulfill your ministry"

Those who love truth and defend it. I can't find the scriptures on "loving the truth" so if anyone can post them I'm keen to read them.

I judge there is a need to make things clearer so you may look below at a similar question to what I asked before in post #69 of this thread.

Thinking about the first post of this thread, do you think it's right and done and said in love of a person if Matthew 7:12 is used correctly to judge how to sound their voice and which words to use when making a post like yours for this thread, also thinking about what condition the readers of the post may be in ?

Hi Thomas ,

I don't know you, so I would rather that you did not send messages to me.

If you want to debate and discuss this thread then I would prefer that you
post on the thread. It will also be easier for you as otherwise you will end up
losing track of what you are discussing in private and what you are discussing in public
about the identical the topic of conversation.

The idea of the bible discussion forum is so everyone can have a think and join in.
It can get heated but lots of different ideas can help everyone.

Or if you want to start a new conversation on a different subject, then you can always
start a new thread. :)

Thanks

Hi Thomas ,

Miri,

By those words above compared to a part of a Bible you may look at below, you may think that you don't understand how God wants us to speak to people. I have judged correctly in sending you messages and I'm doing God's will.

Hebrews 13:2

Do not forget to show hospitality to strangers, for by so doing some people have shown hospitality to angels without knowing it.

If you want to debate and discuss this thread then I would prefer that you
post on the thread. It will also be easier for you as otherwise you will end up

about the identical the topic of conversation.
I have judged correctly how to discuss this thread and discuss in private before you said what you said. I'm not reviling you, do you think you can prove precisely that I haven't ?

The idea of the bible discussion forum is so everyone can have a think and join in.
It can get heated but lots of different ideas can help everyone.
I have judged correctly what should happen in the Bible Discussion Forum and what may happen in it before you said what you said.

Or if you want to start a new conversation on a different subject, then you can always
start a new thread. :)
I have judged I may start new threads before you said what you said.

I don't speak arrogantly, have you ever compared what you may look at below with how you should speak to people every time ?

Proverbs 18:2

A foolish person doesn't want to understand. He takes delight in saying only what he thinks.

Let me put it another way, I don't want you sending me any more private
messages. I judge that there is something a little off about you. No offence intended.

Miri,

Why did you judge that there is something a little off about me ? I'm a Christian, what may you think disproves that ?

You may think that if you don't have the evidence to show that a person is guilty then you shouldn't accuse them.

If you can't respect a persons wishes not to send them messages, then it shows a lack of
respect, grace, discernment, understanding etc. I won't be replying to you any more.
Ive tried being nice, this is me being less nice so if I was you I would quit while you
still have some dignity left.

Proverbs 18:6-7 NLT
[6] Fools' words get them into constant quarrels; they are asking for a beating.
[7] The mouths of fools are their ruin; they trap themselves with their lips.

Miri,

What may you think proves that I have sent you any private messages since you told me you didn't want them from me ? I haven't sent you any private messages since you told me you didn't want them from me.

If someone accuses me in an internet forum I may judge it's beneficial to the people who use the forum that I do the necessary work to disprove the accusation.

Proverbs 18:6-7 NLT
[6] Fools' words get them into constant quarrels; they are asking for a beating.
[7] The mouths of fools are their ruin; they trap themselves with their lips.
What may you think proves that I have been the fool spoken about in Proverbs 18:6-7 NLT ? I haven't been the fool spoken about in Proverbs 18:6-7 NLT.

It may be judged that you have wanted to accuse me but that you don't have the evidence to prove any accusations you wanted to prove to show me as being guilty.
