People will always justify their own beliefs. But there is an inesacapable truth that every true Christian is fully aware of. The Holy Spirit would NEVER contradict the plain and continuous words of Christ, such a thing is impossible

Christ plainly and continually laid down the neccessary belief in him for a person to have eternal life. He di not go into his nature, substance, or whether the Father preeexisted him at some point in time before time as we know it began

So anyone who in their heart will not accept someone as a Christian who simply believes Christ is the son of God and not God Himsaelf, anyone who adds to the condition Christ plainly and continually set down as to how a person must see him to have eternal life cannot be being led of the Holy Spirt, but the heart is deceitful

And if a person is not being led of the Holy Spirit they are speaking for themselves, and Christ was clear as to what that meant

Anyone speaking on his own does so to gain honour for himself, but anyone seeking the honour of the one who sent him is a man of truth and there is nothing false about him
John 7:18

If we wish to avoid being like the Pharisees of Jesus time we need to be reminded of Christ's own words

We must not seek the praise of man, but rather seek the praise of the only God

We must not be proud. The Pharisees were a proud people, and therefore could not accept Christ and the message he preached

Hi LBG , Devolution, wakeup

No one has ever seen God; the only God, who
is at the Father’s side, he has made him known
(John 1:18).

Thomas answered him, “My Lord and my God!”
(John 20:28).
To them belong the patriarchs, and from their

race, according to the flesh, is the
Christ who is God over all , blessed forever. Amen (Rom. 9:5).

Have this mind among yourselves, which is
yours in Christ Jesus, who, though he was

in the form of God , did not count equality with God a thing

to be grasped, but made himself nothing, taking the
form of a servant, being born in the likeness of men
(Phil. 2:5–7).

. . . waiting for our blessed hope, the appearing
of the glory of
our great God and Savior Jesus Christ

(Titus 2:13).

He is the radiance of the glory of God and the exact
imprint of his nature, and he upholds the universe
by the word of his power (Heb. 1:3).

But of the Son he says, “Your throne, O God, is
forever and ever.” . . . And, “You, Lord, laid the foundation
of the earth in the beginning, and the heavens
are the work of your hands” (Heb. 1:8, 10).

Simeon Peter, a servant and apostle of Jesus Christ,
To those who have obtained a faith of equal standing
with ours by the righteousness of

our God and Savior Jesus Christ (2 Pet. 1:1).

Jesus is fully God! to believe anything means that you do not believe 'IN' the Christ of Scripture but of man made ideologies therefore not Christian but Idolatrous! You are not reading scripture with open eyes but eyes that are bent on decieving! Subtle lies just like Satan in the garden of Eden, He subtly decieved!

To compliment what you have said, the Holy Spirit of truth will reveal and justify nothing less than Jesus Christ as God in the flesh, who was born of a virgin, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world and received up into glory (1Tim 3:16). Anyone who believes otherwise, then what the scriptures testify concerning the Son, have not the Spirit of truth and confess with their mouth the spirit of antichrist (1Jn 4:2,3) and that is a subtle deception that is authored by the father of all lies (Jn 8:44, 2Cor 11:3).

Believers should not be passive toward this deception because it has the power to leaven their faith little by little until the whole is leavened. The doctrine of Christ is central to everything we believe in the faith and to allow this doctrine of unbelief to even be considered reveals the very essence of not being rooted and grounded in the faith (Col 2:7). They will try to subvert you away from the truth and from those that are grounded in the doctrine of Christ while they profess themselves to be Christians. Anyone that even hints that Jesus Christ was anything less then His Father, does not have the truth in him and should be avoided.

How are you getting on with finding me a sermon from a Baptist church which preaches what you tell your fellow Christians?
One where it is said from the pulpit
If you believe Jesus is the son of God but not God himself you are a heretic and condemned, and can have no eternal life

Only if this is the truth, and as you say it is the foundation on which Christianity stands they would obviously have to preach it in every Baptist church in the country as I am sure you would agree.

And based on your above comment I would say that any Baptist minister worth his salt would preach it so that no-one in their congregation would be idolatrous or deceived by satan
You have had a long time now to prodiuce such a sermon, are you having difficulty finding one from a mainline Baptist church in the UK?

Only if they do not openly preach from the pulpit what you constantly say, does this mean you are wrong?
Or are they failing miserably to inform their congregation of what is and is not acceptable belief in Christ in relation to gaining eternal life.

Before you place anymore scriptures in front of me could you answer this simple question please and provide the sermon I have repeatedly asked you to provide

Thanks in advance

Phil,

These that oppose the doctrine of Christ are not even worthy of your attention to their fruitless demands because they are nothing more than meddlers and troublemakers that cause confusion and strife and know not the grace of God, despite their effort to convince others of things they know nothing about.

No one has seen God in all of His glory.

Christ is God, yet is not God the Father nor God the Holy Spirit.

He is the one true God (1 John 5:20), as is the Father and the Holy Spirit.

Jesus called the Father the one true God. Does that mean Jesus wasn't? No.

Many people use this verse to justify their anti-trinity position: "...yet to us there is one God, the Father, of whom are all things, and we unto him; and one Lord, Jesus Christ, through whom are all things, and we through him." (1 Corinthians 8:6)

So, I guess this means that the Father is not Lord, huh?

1 Titus verses 3 and 4 identify Jesus as God (who is our Savior?), as does 1 Corinthians 10:4: "And did all drink the same spiritual drink: for they drank of that spiritual Rock that followed them: and that Rock was Christ."

For who is God besides the LORD? And who is the Rock except our God? (Psalm 18:31)

Amen.

And one more thing:

The Father is God, right?
Jesus is the Son of God, right?

Now, here's some philosophical thought for you:

My father is named Dan.
So, Zack is the son of Dan.

What is Dan?
A human.

So, it follows that, since Dan is in very nature human, his son, Zack, must be human.

---------------------------------------------------------

Now, the Father of Jesus is God.
Jesus is the Son of God, and the only one at that (John 3:16)

Now, why would he be called the ONLY Son of God, the ONE Son of God?

Well, because he is, in His very nature, God.

And he was born of Mary,
So he is also, in very nature, man.

Hi Red,

I definately agree with you there. Those who cause confusion upon which our salvation stands are just decievers. But, I do pray that they may also taste and see the Grace God freely offers. They have had the scriptures they use explained to them yet have no ears to hear and no sight to see.

Thanks

here's a sermon that says salvation hinges on the belief that Jesus Christ is LORD, God Almighty and Our Creator and that if you do not have that saving faith then, well you know the rest (remember LORD is YHWH and the personal name for GOD):

There are thousands more just do a google search it took me all of five minutes.

Bible Truth - Sermon- is Lord

"True believers, the true saints of God that truly love the Jesus Christ, and they follow Him as their Lord. He is the Lord of their lives. That means is in control in their lives and they are His disciples devoted to His will and cause. These true saints see themselves in total subjection to the Lord Jesus, because He is God Almighty and their Creator. They see Him having the full right to tell them what to do and how they are to live their lives."

III. FAITH IN A JESUS CHRIST WHO IS NOT ONE'S LORD AND MASTER IS A FAITH IN A ANTI-CHRIST OF ONES OWN MAKING.

A. The Jesus who saves is the Jesus who is the Lord and Master of ones life.

1. Luke 6:46. "Why do you call be Lord, Lord and do not the things what I say?"

2. You cannot separate the Lordship of Christ from Christ. You cannot take away His being your Lord, and have Him be your Savior.

3. He saved and is Lord, or He is not Lord and does not save.

B. You cannot refuse to follow the commandments and instruction of the Scriptures and call Jesus your savior.

You cannot believe on a half-Christ. We take Him for what he is---the anointed Saviour and Lord who is King of Kings, Lord of all Lords or we reject Him. A. W. Tozer said, "The Lord will not save whom He cannot command."

Hi Anandya

Does the sermon specifically say the question I have asked of Phil?

If a person believes Christ is the son of God but not God Himself they can have no eternal life.

Only I have been to Baptist churches and 'born again' churches in England for over thirty years and never heard such a thing preached in any church I have ever been to

I am not saying no church would preach such a thing, there are many false churches, but it is that specifically I am seeking from Phil, as that is what he is stating. I would like to know if his church denomination plainly preaches from the pulpit what he demands of other Christians

Actually in the thirty years I have been to church I have never once heard it stated from the pulpit

Christ is God Himself

AnandaHya,

You will make no progress with those who are determined to live in unbelief concerning the doctrine of the incarnate Christ. They have their own belief system that is contrary to what the scriptures teach concerning God being manifest in the flesh in the person of His Son Jesus Christ. It is leaven and it will erode and corrupt the faith of some who have not been rooted and grounded or that live in error concerning Christ. It does not matter what you convey through the scriptures, they have purposed to reject all conviction concerned Christ coming in the flesh and that is the spirit of antichrist.

They may be good professing Christians but they live in unbelief concerning the deity and divinity of Christ and His equality and oneness with the Father. This error effects the purpose for which Christ came and the fellowship and communion we have with the Father and the Son. They have been admonished several times by others but they take no heed and therefore should be avoided because they take away from the faith.

God the father made adam and eve, they saw him in the garden before they fell to temptation. they walked with him and talked with him. whether or not God showed them all his glory is unknown. but he did walk and talk to them. God the father also showed himself to abraham, he went there and ate dinner with the guy and told him his wife would bear him a son. again, here we find God has appeared and talked to a man and woman. clearly there is a difference between the old testament times and the new testament times.

to quote the old testament at the new testament is purposeless. from my understanding of the new testament, all the preachers of the time just threw the old testament at Jesus telling him he was wrong in his teachings. have we become no better than them? do we seek to use old law to hinder the new? will we stand before Jesus and seek to instruct him on the old law, which he followed perfectly and was sinless in the world, to be sacrificed for our sins. so we may have salvation. when Jesus ask you, who am i, what will you reply? will your answer be given to you by the father about his son? when Jesus forgives you of your sins, it is so you may stand before his father without sin. our brother will have scars, our father will not.

Jesus is the son of God, God so loved the world he gave his only begotten son as an offering for our sin. when someone said to Jesus, good teacher, Jesus replied, do not call me good for only the father is good. Jesus would pray to God his father many times according to the bible. Jesus taught us to pray to God in the Lords prayer. our father who art in heaven. time and again throughout the bible the father and the son are shown to be two different physical forms. the only way to the father is through Jesus. Jesus sits at the right hand of God and is our judge for our sins. they have two different physical forms with the same spirit. the Trinity is sinless. we all have different sinful physical forms, yet we seek forgiveness for our sins so we can follow and share in the Holy Spirit of the Trinity, be forgiven by Jesus and kneel before God in our heavenly bodies.

they are the Holy Trinity, three in one, without sin. no amount of discussing the bible will be able to explain it to you, some things are beyond understanding or interpretation until you experience it. some people are led by the holy spirit, they are crucified with Jesus, they have become adopted by God, this only happens through repentance to Jesus. repent and ask Jesus for help, be led by the Holy Spirit, sacrifice your flesh to God,become a brother of Christ, be baptized, have communion. serve the blood of Christ for the glory of God.

the path of salvation is through Jesus the son of God. i suggest everyone focus on the book of romans, as it clearly defines the process and experience of a repentant sinner being redeemed. if the spirit leads you to do whats in romans, you will not rely on other peoples teachings of the bible, you will have experienced the teachings of the bible. if there is any lesson anyone should get from the whole bible, it is this, the bible is the truth, everyone in it or writing it, experienced it while they were on earth. it is something to be both studied and experienced while we are on earth. some people alive today on earth have experienced it. teach people so they may experience the word of God with understanding when Jesus chooses them,on earth, to serve. it can happen to anyone, anywhere at anytime.

i knew nothing until i repented and asked Jesus for help. my understanding comes from my experience, which i did not even fully understand until i read the bible and it explained to me the truth. since then i have tried to have fellowship with Christians, but most seek to teach from interpretation of their understanding, saying i must conform to their teachings or be excluded. they cannot even agree on which bible to use. i cannot conform my experiences and understanding to their teachings. it's like their all talking about a meal in a cookbook, while i am already eating that same meal. those who tell me i do not know what i am talking about, i ask, are you speaking from experience? so i say repent, pour out your heart and soul in confession of your sins and ask Jesus for help. follow with faith, put to death the sins of the flesh.

peace to you,
Duewell

Jesus sits at the right hand of God and is our judge for our sins. they have two different physical forms with the same spirit. the Trinity is sinless. we all have different sinful physical forms, yet we seek forgiveness for our sins so we can follow and share in the Holy Spirit of the Trinity, be forgiven by Jesus and kneel before God in our heavenly bodies.

they are the Holy Trinity, three in one, without sin. no amount of discussing the bible will be able to explain it to you, some things are beyond understanding or interpretation until you experience it. some people are led by the holy spirit, they are crucified with Jesus, they have become adopted by God, this only happens through repentance to Jesus. repent and ask Jesus for help, be led by the Holy Spirit, sacrifice your flesh to God,become a brother of Christ, be baptized, have communion. serve the blood of Christ for the glory of God.

the path of salvation is through Jesus the son of God. i suggest everyone focus on the book of romans, as it clearly defines the process and experience of a repentant sinner being redeemed. if the spirit leads you to do whats in romans, you will not rely on other peoples teachings of the bible, you will have experienced the teachings of the bible. if there is any lesson anyone should get from the whole bible, it is this, the bible is the truth, everyone in it or writing it, experienced it while they were on earth. it is something to be both studied and experienced while we are on earth. some people alive today on earth have experienced it. teach people so they may experience the word of God with understanding when Jesus chooses them,on earth, to serve. it can happen to anyone, anywhere at anytime.

i knew nothing until i repented and asked Jesus for help. my understanding comes from my experience, which i did not even fully understand until i read the bible and it explained to me the truth. since then i have tried to have fellowship with Christians, but most seek to teach from interpretation of their understanding, saying i must conform to their teachings or be excluded. they cannot even agree on which bible to use. i cannot conform my experiences and understanding to their teachings. it's like their all talking about a meal in a cookbook, while i am already eating that same meal. those who tell me i do not know what i am talking about, i ask, are you speaking from experience? so i say repent, pour out your heart and soul in confession of your sins and ask Jesus for help. follow with faith, put to death the sins of the flesh.

peace to you,
Duewell
how many angels can dance on the head of a pin? all of them, but you wont even hear their music until you understand, that you are the pin.
There is much truth in what you wirte. I may not agree with a couple of minor points you make, but I have never met any two people who agree on everything, but you know what is most important, that is for sure. I hope you will not feel isolated as a Christian, it is better to have some Christian friends.
I especially liked what you said concerning the book of Romans.
You have a sincere heart
God Bless
