Okay. I think I might have been off the mark in my first reply to you. If that is the case, then sorry about that. I am thinking about your IRS example here that you made. But I really do not see how it fits. 1 Peter 4:1 says they that have suffered in the flesh have ceased from sin. This is a past tense action expressed. It is not a present tense word put forth by Peter telling them what they must put into practice only. Peter is saying a truth. They that have suffered in the flesh have ceased from sin. He is speaking as if he has seen this before. Also, the IRS example just doesn't jive with the text. Nowhere is it stating that this sin is the type of sin that does not lead unto death like complaining about the immoral laws within one's government. So I do not believe it is not talking about faults or errors (versus say sins that will lead unto the Second Death, like the Lake of Fire).

Besides, if the law in the IRS is immoral it is not wrong to talk out against it. For surely if the US Government asked you to take the Mark of the Beast tomorrow... would you not talk out against it and say it is bad?

Anyways, I am just trying to understand where you are coming from with this verse. You are still being very unclear in the way that you are explaining it. Does one cease from sin by suffering in the flesh thru obeying God's Commands? Suffer in well doing? If that is the case, then we agree. No? If we do not agree, you really have to explain it to me in a way that is a little more clear.
Please take note that 1 John 5:16-18 talks about sins that lead unto death and sins that do not lead unto death. I believe the sins that lead unto death are sins such as lying, murder, hate, adultery, theft, idolatry, and drunkenness, etc. which will lead to the Second Death, i.e. the Lake of Fire.

I believe sins that do not lead unto death can be hidden or secret faults like Psalm 19:12 mentions. I believe these types of sins can be going over the speed limit a little (without realizing it), or disobeying the traffic laws to get your wife to the hospital, etc.; or not doing something "extra good" at your job for the Lord that you know you could have done, but you chose not to do it (Whereby you did only what was required instead).

God will mark this you have said to me as disrespectful to me...without cause.

You did not have no reason to say this to me. Except to mock and be disrespectful to me.
Nah man.....it's called humor. It's a pretty cool attribute that God designed into us. It's good for you. That's why God made it.

Denial of the truth is not the way out for you. You will not be able to find your way out.

I know it. I am satisfied with the outcome.

You never went over the speed limit by a few miles per hour before without realizing it before?

Also, Romans 13 says we are to obey the Law of the land. Traffic laws would be included in that.

Jason.....to exceed the speed limit accidently IMO is not a sin...to wilfully drive over would be breaking the laws of the land and the ticket would be the justice meted out!

Also, for him to knoweth to do good and he does it not, to him it is sin. So is one going to go to Hell for not taking out the trash last week like they should have? No. Of course not. However, John and Paul clearly list sins that lead unto death in the New Testament. See the list of sins mentioned in Revelation 21:8, Galatians 5, Ephesians 5, Romans 1, Colossians 3, 1 Corinthians 6 (Like murder, lying, adultery, idolatry, hate, and drunkenness, etc.). Paul says that those who commit those certain types of sins in Romans are worthy of "death." John says that in his list of sins in Revelation that they will be cast into the Lake of Fire, which is the Second "Death." Hence, why they are called "sins that lead unto death." All other sins that are not mentioned as such on these lists and would naturally be considered as hidden or secret faults (Psalm 19:12), and would obviously fall under the category of sins that do not lead unto death.

You get management decisions confused with right and wrong behavior.

yes,

yahweh says even thinking of speeding(breaking the law) is a sin, especially when (______________ ____ _________).

btw, as you may already know,
they're tripping you up with a lot of untidy tangents, beleaguering and worrisome posts, and (censored) goals and objectives.

you might (or might not) be mostly right, but i think(and am NOT at all sure) that taking a short rest would be a good idea. not necessarily for you as if it's needed, but the others need a day or 2 (maybe decades) to give God an opportunity to breath on them and allow them to realize the truth also.

Dear Sirk:

God is not going to condemn someone for disobeying a command that does not have any specific penalties attached. But yet there are many other Commands in His Word that do have penalties attached if we disobey them, though.

For example: Jesus says if you do not forgive, you will not be forgiven. It means exactly what it says.

Dear Jeff:

Thank you for your words. I appreciate that.

I will prayerfully consider what you said.

May God bless you this fine night and keep strong in His love for the Lord and for all others (Including our enemies).

We are guilty of breaking all the law. That's why Jesus came. We got a full pardon. You're still arguing with the judge.

But if you have made Jesus lord of your life then you are called a co-heir with Christ. Pretty cool huh?

clarify first: (sorry, english isn't very good for this). (and it's critical life and death for many)

(1) can anyone "make" jesus anything ?

jesus is lord of peter, john, paul, stephen, etc etc in the BIBLE, for instance ,

but NOT lord of the disciples that left him just before he asked peter if peter would leave him also.

(2) could those disciples who left jesus "make" jesus their lord later ?
