I like that story, speaks of a lot of truth, I agree sometimes we have too be brutally honest with folks, I'd rather someone be brutally honest with me than beat around the bush and feed me cake and ice cream that never works, yea I don't like it either sometimes it hurts, the truth can hurt at times, but when I come to realize the person was speaking of a truth I'm humbled and have a lot more respect for that person because they were honest with me and didn't feed something I just wanted to hear. Actually most times the friendship grows by leaps and bounds.
A lot of times the truth isn't what we want to hear, when we are spiritually Back peddling we don't see it like others do within our own selves.

Has God changed?
Or is the depth of how we understand the Lord changed from the OT to Jesus.
Jesus brought God closer to us, from God as holy through to God as friend.
Some talk of their lack of reality of finding victory as just looking for the truth
in the wrong place, rather than their failure to comprehend and put into action
the very promises of Jesus.
Until you learn how to forgive all for the hurt others have caused you, you will never
find communion with Christ.
It is obvious those who willingly compromise have sold out.

The wormhole we are in is a place where those who are bound by their emotional
history deny it, and claim emotions do not drive them. It is because to admit this
reality would set them free so it must in their own minds be kept from them.
It is ironic those who claim to be free of emotion and only talking facts testify to the
opposite. You know you are free from something when you can define it and feel it,
so that you can put yourself on the scale of victim or victor. If you do not even have
a scale it is because it holds you wherever you are and you have no sense of the
differences that war every day in your lives.
It reminds me of the lady who claimed though she was slain in the spirit often, emotions
did not enter in to her worship of Jesus. It is like saying loving your children is purely an
acknowledgement of you role in their lives, rather than you are interwoven in their successes
and failures and feel them all personally. This is what I would describe as real emotional
and spiritual blindness, and rather than Jesus setting them free from anything, they have been
taken captive often of bitterness and animosity against a certain group from their past which is
declared by the group they call the most evil in the world today. That is the thing that dominates
their spiritual lives, and the word I read most often in this regard from them are legalists.
