You know I was being sarcastic, right, lol?

Do you know what the Bible says on how to have the joy of God? Show me you do. Then tell me if watching 'Game of Thrones' is how God says you do that.
Tell me. I want to know. What do you really do for entertainment?
I also want the answer to how to have the joy of God. I am guessing the answer you give is different from mine.

I'm not sinless....I'm blameless. Because of my continuing faith in Christ.

Purposely watching salacious programming on TV and computer is nothing more than a trampling of the blood of Christ in a contemptuous unbelief. But I know most will not understand that because of OSAS doctrine gripping the church at this present time.

There's a BIG difference between struggling with sin and purposely indulging it, folks. The latter is nothing more than a return to unbelief. Turn around and come back to Christ while you still can, before he turns you over to your unbelief and you CAN'T come back, even if you plead with tears to come back.
don;t tell me you have faith in God. God will never fail you, and his blood is forever. yet you claim God can fail you, and your faiht is in your ability not in Gods ability. Period

All these argument. They are the arguments used by unbelievers. I know because I've witnessed to many of them in years past. That's why when 'believers' start using these kinds of arguments against me I have no choice but to put them on my 'consider them to be an unbeliever' list until they prove to me by some kind of contrition that they really are believers.

This is a sad observation.

I never heard of that show and have no idea what it's about nor do I intend to watch it. I agree with you that one should not pollute their minds watching filth on TV or by any other means. That being said I don't think that it's a good thing to deny oneself any pleasure or relaxation at all. My joy in God is based on the fact that Jesus died for my sins and that I will spend eternity with God.

Jesus went to a wedding once. For some good fun and fellowship. He also made some very good wine while there. If any believer did this today PHart would go PHarisaical on them. :D

It is remarkable how many Christians there are in the church, horribly influenced by Calvin, who think God does their believing for them.

He provides the faith for us to do our believing, but it is our responsibility to place our trust in that which God has revealed to us to be true. And last time I checked, trusting in Christ was not a self righteous work of the damnable works gospel.
The word of God is what we trust to be true and every man a liar. If we are trusting our self to believe what is true we would have to be the author of it. .Its his responsibility that we believe whom he sent called the news news gospel . Its not something the eye sees. We walk by faith (his) not after the imaginations of ones own heart.

Well then who does the work of believing God not seen for you? You say it your responsibility to place your trust in that which God has revealed to us to be true.Sounds like the apostate Jews turning things up side down as if the Potter had no understanding to offer?.

My new faith, new spirit, new heart comes from hearing Him.called the hearing of faith .He gives us ears to hear and therefore understand what the Spirit is saying to the church

Joh 6:28 Then said they unto him, What shall we do, that we might work the works of God?
Joh 6:29 Jesus answered and said unto them, This is the work of God, that ye believe on him whom he hath sent.

You have no Good News to offer them. Your gospel is not that message at all. Not even close.

What do you mean Christmas? Pagan worshippers of trees....grrr...
I got a story about that.
When I was growing up Christmas was involved in how I said my first ever prayer.

They had a lutheran pastor come and watch the Christmas play. Then he started off by praying "Heavenly Father..." and as I heard it I thought to myself, hey, I want to pray to that guy too! And so I said my first prayer. I started praying for my earthly father to get clean from his boozing and other things he was involved in. Today he has been clean for a long time and is saved as well. Glory to God.

A servant will never be a son loveme. Just when I think you are seeing, you don't.
New International Version 1984 Matthew 12:15-21 God’s Chosen servant Aware of this, Jesus withdrew from that place. Many followed him, and he healed all their sick, warning them not to tell who he was. This was to fulfill what was spoken through the prophet Isaiah: “Here is my servant whom I have chosen, the one I love, in whom I delight; I will put my Spirit on him, and he will proclaim justice to the nations. He will not quarrel or cry out; no one will hear his voice in the streets. A bruised reed he will not break, and a smoldering wick he will not snuff out, till he leads justice to victory. ****In his name the nations will put their hope.”

can some calvinist answer this accusation?
that if God predestines everything how come christians still have so much sin and false doctrine in the churches?

When I was a "youth pastor" a family had trouble with their teens morality and behavior. The family invited me over to talk. They had the TV on with a bad show and shelves of videos of the same genre. I asked if they thought that helped? They told the pastor and he chewed me out over it lol!!!

P...

I do like this first line. The second is flawed. Because of my faith. Faith is substance in the spiritual realm. It's first given. The seed goes down deep in our earth. And is impossible to root out. Jesus, and Paul spoke these things. And you know the scriptures to know who said what. These are spiritual pictures that speak truth to our physical realm.

To say continuing suggests that faith itself itself can be rooted out when it can't. It is either stagnant for a time, or grows. But, it does need watering and light. This is the revelation truth of the Word. Life.

P....

S....

Heb 4:10 For he that is entered into his rest, he also hath ceased from his own works, as God did from his.

This is the step that we struggle in working to come to. The realization that we can put all on our trust in and on God. He purposed this rest before He created us. Then we become giant killers. Until we go from this babe stage, to young men, we will get whomped by the devil every time. Speaking out of 1John and licking my own wounds (spellcheck struck) so to speak.

P....

I do understand your point of view. I was caught too until I saw what Paul saw....and that is we become like Him as we see Him.

So so much more restful to our souls. And we won't offend with religious error, but truth? Will offend the religious.

IS SALVATION “VOID OF WORKS” OR “ NOT BY WORKS (OF OURSELVES)?

ARE SERVANTS CONSIDERED WORKERS?

ARE PREACHERS,TEACHERS, EVANGELISTS, PASTORS, ADMINISTRATORS ETC. CONSIDERED SERVANTS AND WORKERS OF GOD?
WHAT IF THEY ONLY HAVE FAITH VOID OF WORKS, THEN LOOK DOWN ON THE OTHER PARTS OF THE BODY IN HYPOCRISY AS IF THEY'RE THE ONLY LEGITIMATE PART OF IT? WILL THAT FAITH SAVE THEM?( 1corinthians chapter 12)

WE ARE GOD’S FELLOW WORKERS(1 cor 3:9)
SENT OUT TO HARVEST WHAT WE HAVE NOT WORKED FOR, THE CROP FOR ETERNAL LIFE.

Luke 10:2 He told them, “The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field.

John 4:34-38 “My food,” said Jesus, “is to do the will of him who sent me and to finish his work. Do you not say, ‘Four months more and then the harvest’? I tell you, open your eyes and look at the fields! They are ripe for harvest. EVEN NOW the reaper draws his wages, EVEN NOW HE HARVESTS THE CROP FOR ETERNAL LIFE, so that the sower and the reaper may be glad TOGETHER. Thus the saying ‘One sows and another reaps’ I SENT YOU TO REAP WHAT YOU HAVE NOT WORKED FOR. Others have done the hard work, and you have reaped the benefits of their labor.”

ARE THERE WORKS NEEDED TO BE DONE FOR SALVATION?

WE ARE TO SERVE IN THE WORKS OF THE GOSPEL WHICH IS THE GOSPEL OF OUR SALVATION.

1 Thessalonians 3:2,5 We sent Timothy, who is our brother and GOD’S FELLOW WORKER in SPREADING THE GOSPEL OF CHRIST, to strengthen and encourage you in your faith, For this reason, when I could stand it no longer, I sent to find out about your faith. I was afraid that in some way the tempter might have tempted you and our efforts might have been USELESS.

Philippians 2:22 But you know that Timothy has proved himself, because as a son with his father he has SERVED WITH ME in the WORK OF THE GOSPEL.

Ephesians 1:13 And you also were included in Christ when you heard the word of truth, THE GOSPEL OF YOUR SALVATION. Having believed, you were marked in him with a seal, the promised Holy Spirit,

John 7:18 HE WHO SPEAKS ON HIS OWN does so to gain honor for himself, but HE WHO WORKS FOR THE HONOR OF THE ONE WHO SENT HIM IS A MAN OF TRUTH; there is nothing false about him.

John 9:4-5 As long as it is day, “WE” MUST DO THE WORK OF HIM WHO SENT ME. Night is coming, when no one can work. While I am in the world, I am the light of the world.”

BUT WE ARE NOT WORKING FOR OUR OWN SALVATION BUT FOR THE CHURCH WHICH IS THE BODY OF CHRIST OF WHOM HE IS THE SAVIOR (eph 5:23),
WHERE HE PUTS THOSE THAT ARE BEING SAVED AND ARE MADE PARTS OF HIS BODY FOR WORKS OF SERVICE.

Ephesians 4:11-13 It was he who gave some to be apostles, some to be prophets, some to be evangelists, and some to be pastors and teachers, TO PREPARE GOD’S PEOPLE FOR WORKS OF SERVICE, so that the body of Christ may be built up until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ.

1 Corinthians 12:28 And in the church God has appointed first of all apostles, second prophets, third teachers, then workers of miracles, also those having gifts of healing, those able to help others, those with gifts of administration, and those speaking in different kinds of tongues.

Romans 12:4-8 Just as each of us has one body with many members, and these members do not all have the same function, so in Christ we who are many form one body, and each member belongs to all the others. We have different gifts, according to the grace given us. If a man’s gift is prophesying, let him use it in proportion to his faith. If it is serving, let him serve; if it is teaching, let him teach; if it is encouraging, let him encourage; if it is contributing to the needs of others, let him give generously; if it is leadership, let him govern diligently; if it is showing mercy, let him do it cheerfully.

1 Corinthians 11:3 Now I want you to realize that the head of every man is Christ, and the head of the woman is man, and the head of Christ is God.

THE TRUE MESSAGE OF THE CROSS IS SELFLESS LOVE.

GOD GAVE US HIS ONLY SON.
JESUS GAVE HIS LIFE FOR US.
WE OUGHT TO LAY DOWN OUR LIVES FOR OUR BROTHERS.

1 John 3:16 This is how we know what love is: Jesus Christ laid down his life for us. And we ought to lay down our lives for our brothers.

Philippians 2:4 Each of you should look not only to your OWN INTERESTS, but also to the interests of OTHERS.

Colossians 3:12-17 Therefore, as God’s chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience. Bear with each other and forgive whatever grievances you may have against one another. Forgive as the Lord forgave you. And over all these virtues put on love, which binds them all together in perfect unity. Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, since as members of one body you were called to peace. And be thankful. Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly as you teach and admonish one another with all wisdom, and as you sing psalms, hymns and spiritual songs with gratitude in your hearts to God. And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.

Galatians 6:2,10 Carry each other’s burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ. Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all people, especially to those who belong to the family of believers.

2 Timothy 2:14-19 A Workman Approved by God Keep reminding them of these things. Warn them before God against quarreling about words; it is of no value, and only ruins those who listen. Do your best to present yourself to God as one APPROVED, a WORKMAN who does not need to be ashamed and who correctly handles the word of truth. Avoid godless chatter, because those who indulge in it will become more and more ungodly. Their teaching will spread like gangrene. Among them are Hymenaeus and Philetus, who have wandered away from the truth. They say that the resurrection has already taken place, and they destroy the faith of some. Nevertheless, God’s solid foundation stands firm, sealed with this inscription: “The Lord knows those who are his,” and, “Everyone who confesses the name of the Lord must turn away from wickedness.”
