Matthew 28:19-20 Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and TEACHING THEM TO OBEY EVERYTHING I HAVE COMMANDED YOU. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”

Matthew 19:16-26 The Rich Young Man Now a man came up to Jesus and asked, “Teacher, what good thing must I do to get eternal life?” “Why do you ask me about what is good?” Jesus replied. “There is only One who is good. If you want to enter life, obey the commandments.” “Which ones?” the man inquired. Jesus replied, “‘Do not murder, do not commit adultery, do not steal, do not give false testimony, honor your father and mother,’ and ‘love your neighbor as yourself.’” “All these I have kept,” the young man said. “What do I still lack?” Jesus answered, “If you want to be perfect, go, sell your possessions and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven. Then come, follow me.” When the young man heard this, he went away sad, because he had great wealth. Then Jesus said to his disciples, “I tell you the truth, it is hard for a rich man to enter the kingdom of heaven. Again I tell you, it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of God.” When the disciples heard this, they were greatly astonished and asked, “WHO THEN CAN BE SAVED” Jesus looked at them and said, “With man this is impossible, but WITH GOD ALL THINGS ARE POSSIBLE”

Acts 4:32-37 The Believers Share Their Possessions All the believers were one in heart and mind. No one claimed that any of his possessions was his own, but they shared everything they had. With great power the apostles continued to testify to the resurrection of the Lord Jesus, and much grace was upon them all. There were no needy persons among them. For from time to time those who owned lands or houses sold them, brought the money from the sales and put it at the apostles’ feet, and it was distributed to anyone as he had need. Joseph, a Levite from Cyprus, whom the apostles called Barnabas (which means Son of Encouragement), sold a field he owned and brought the money and put it at the apostles’ feet.

Acts 5:1-11 Ananias and Sapphira Now a man named Ananias, together with his wife Sapphira, also sold a piece of property. With his wife’s full knowledge he kept back part of the money for himself, but brought the rest and put it at the apostles’ feet. Then Peter said, “Ananias, how is it that Satan has so filled your heart that you have lied to the Holy Spirit and have kept for yourself some of the money you received for the land? Didn’t it belong to you before it was sold? And after it was sold, wasn’t the money at your disposal? What made you think of doing such a thing? You have not lied to men but to God.” When Ananias heard this, he fell down and died. And great fear seized all who heard what had happened. Then the young men came forward, wrapped up his body, and carried him out and buried him. About three hours later his wife came in, not knowing what had happened. Peter asked her, “Tell me, is this the price you and Ananias got for the land?” “Yes,” she said, “that is the price.” Peter said to her, “How could you agree to test the Spirit of the Lord? Look! The feet of the men who buried your husband are at the door, and they will carry you out also.” At that moment she fell down at his feet and died. Then the young men came in and, finding her dead, carried her out and buried her beside her husband. Great fear seized the whole church and all who heard about these events.

Jesus went to a wedding once. For some good fun and fellowship. He also made some very good wine while there. If any believer did this today PHart would go PHarisaical on them. :D
Let us really throw a street organ dancing monkey into the pile....Jesus was not called a winebibber because he drank non-alcoholic grape juice......

And I never said anything about drinking alcohol, but all of a sudden it's being used to cast me as a Pharisee.

Yes, Jesus is this fun guy who would approve of his people watching naked people perform explicit sex acts on each other. That's what you're getting at, right? If not, man up and take a stand against people in the church who think it's okay to watch Game of Thrones and other salacious TV content and stop trying to tear me down for calling it out by bringing alcohol into it and what you say I'd say about that, okay?

Oh, and by the way, what I said is I consider anyone an unbeliever if they watch or condone programming like Game of Thrones. I have that right as a Christian. Whether you really are lost or not is not my call. I only know I have the right and the responsibility. How do you watch out for wolves among the sheep if you can't consider a person an unbeliever?

Nope, that's you twisting my words and putting words in my mouth.

Too late, you've already said it's true.

I'm good on my manhood, thanks. It's you who should man up, admit your twisting my words and apologize.

The people in my church don't do this. And, for the record I didn't tear you down for that, you're not telling the truth at all here. Let me ask: why are you putting words in my mouth? Bearing false witness on me? Why is that PHart?

What about you? Do you have the courage to go on record, if you haven't yet, that Christians are not to be watching sex acts on TV/computer?

Did you forget that you were calling me a Pharisee assuming that if I call people on their porn viewing that I would also object to their use of alcohol.

What is the point Seohce? We are not speaking of the Son, but what we are. Are you a servant, serving God? Or a son, being conformed and created in His image?

Paul spoke of being a bond servant, but I'm not talking about ministries, but what we are.
Stones, aren't you a slave to righteousness?

Anyone worth their salt and having a BASE understanding of the bible would say that believers should abstain from sexual immorality and or viewing it on any media outlet....so what is your point......I am fairly confident that Not I or EG or Preacher or Stones or any other regular poster in this thread would say it is OK.....regardless of any and all links you may post and or any opinion to the contrary.....

IMO, if we seek to do the will of God, good works will follow. But I fully admit that my salvation does not depend upon my works.
It does if your lack of works shows you to not have the faith that justifies all by itself apart from works.

Works only matter in salvation to the extent that they show you to possess the faith in God that justifies. In fact, those works are what Jesus will be looking for to either send you to the left into the lake of fire, or to the right into the everlasting kingdom. For some reason the church thinks there is this third group at the Judgment that has no works to validate a loving, saving relationship with Christ but who will still go to the right into the kingdom.

See? More words in my mouth and more assuming on your part. Surely if a believer made wine, drank it, you'd attack them as lost, or, were saved then lost, not as holy as you, &c. How you turn that post of mine into me supporting fornication is, well, you.
