The 12 triples of Isreal had been scattered abroud since babylon, they never fully returned to Isreal. It was prophesied in the OT. The only people who were said to be scattered are physical children of Isreal.
And the twelve tribes is always a reference to the nation of Israel as a whole. Why then, is James using this term if his audience is only Jewish Christians? One has to explain it away rather than allowing the Scripture to be honest. I don't want to do that.

When you do this, you are contradicting every other usage of the term twelve tribes in Scripture. Twelve tribes always means the nation of Israel as a whole and never a called out group of Christians from those tribes.
Yep. Who do you think James wrote to?? The 12 tribes, So interpret it in that It always referred to the 12 tribes of physical isreal.

There are obvious those in James' audience who needed their souls saved.

James 121 Wherefore lay apart all filthiness and superfluity of naughtiness, and receive with meekness the engrafted word, which is able to save your souls.

Yep. There were some of the 12 tribes who still needed saved.

You forget,. James was the apostle to isreal. He wrote to HIS PEOPLE. Since he was the apostle TO HIS PEOPLE.

Not all of them were saved, You should never assume everyone in ANY church is all saved.

If they're not saved, they're not in the Church, the body of Christ.

At least we agree that James is not a Christian epistle but a Jewish one.

What about the believer who lived 1,500 years ago? And not nearer, but near.

We were always supposed to be ready, That is what the NT states. The disciples thought jesus would return while they were alive.

Maybe you can use your extensive computer skills and post a vid of The 2 reading the wrong name for "Best Movie" at the Oscars last year.

No. It wasn't EG. It was John.

SMH

James wrote to the 12 tribes, but his words are applicable to all people jew pr gentile, saved or not

Pauls letters were written to gentiles, But his words are applicable to all people. Jew or gentile. Saved or not.

Sorry, but dual covenant theology and multiple gospels for different people has been thoroughly refuted.

I was taught it in an on line forum. Turns out a simple dictionary check will confirm it. Justified has more than one meaning. It means to be made righteous, and to be shown to be righteous.
when you go back into the roots of the word, you are right. But, imputed as Paul means is all through the NT without change to a root.

I see too, that James was saying the same thing by just doing a quick word study. He is saying that it results in forming character.

Word studies do help.

And that would be the OT word upright. The Righteous walk as the palm tree. Symbol, upright.

But, we know even the unsaved may seem to be upright.
