Love that book.......Job as well........man thinks he is all that and a bag of chips "crisps"
It is clearly stated , God alone sets ETERNITY in our hearts , the more we feed on His word , the more we see clearer , doubts fade and the truth sets us free :)...God keeps us by His power...Just like the title of this thread , it is a plain as day light...

Ephesians 2:8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Why anyone wants to add to this I do not understand , once I got this Scripture in my heart , the rest of the bible just came to life for me , by the leading of the Holy Spirit , if this is not written on peoples heart , those who think they have to add , then they cannot in any way understand the whole bible , they will always be in error...xox...

@benhur stated everything correctly.
WHY is he being divisive?
Maybe YOU are being divisive?
You have to look at all his previous posts. I put up with it, way, way to long. If I remember right, I had him on my IGNORE LIST early last spring, and let him off. Then you and him are in the same false gospel boat, I presume ? ? ?

The Gospel according to JESUS, is HE SAVED US the day the Holy Spirit came in, as a Free GIFT.

In fact, Our Names were written in the BOOK OF LIFE, Before the Foundation of the World.

NO ONE GENUINELY SAVED CAN LOSE THEIR SALVATION because IT IS IN HIS HANDS, anything less is a False Gospel.

John 14:23 (HCSB)
23 Jesus answered, If anyone loves Me [Born Again - the beginning of a lifestyle of LOVING HIM, and the beginning of which equals SALVATION.], he will keep My word [After HE SAVED US, His LOVE in us produces the Same kind of LOVE back towards HIM, 1 John 5:3.]. My Father will love him, and We will come to him and make Our home with him.

1 John 2:19 (HCSB)
19 They went out from us, but they did not belong to us; for if they had belonged to us, they would have remained with us. However, they went out so that it might be made clear that none of them belongs to us.

Those are the ones that benhur wanted to say lost their SALVATION.

What does NONE mean to you?

Just so you know, I consider that to be your second, warning.

Romans 10:17 (HCSB)
17 So faith comes from what is heard, and what is heard comes through the message about Christ.

Parable of the SOWER:

Matthew 13:3-13 (HCSB)
3 Then He told them many things in parables, saying: “Consider the sower who went out to sow.
4 As he was sowing, some seed fell along the path, and the birds came and ate them up.
[Unbelievers, Atheists, Agnostics, Cults]
5 Others fell on rocky ground, where there wasn’t much soil, and they sprang up quickly since the soil wasn’t deep.
6 But when the sun came up they were scorched, and since they had no root, they withered.
[Unsaved Church Goers, no deep roots, no harvest, non-born again.]
7 Others fell among thorns, and the thorns came up and choked them.
[Unsaved Church Goers, no deep roots, no harvest, non-born again.]
8 Still others fell on good ground and produced a crop: some 100, some 60, and some 30 times ⌊what was sown⌋.
[Born Again Believers, will always produce a harvest, and their SALVATION will NEVER BE LOST, because HE HANGS ON TO IT.]
9 Anyone who has ears should listen!”
10 Then the disciples came up and asked Him, “Why do You speak to them in parables?”
11 He answered them, “Because the secrets of the kingdom of heaven have been given for you to know, but it has not been given to them.
12 For whoever has, ⌊more⌋ will be given to him, and he will have more than enough. But whoever does not have, even what he has will be taken away from him.
13 For this reason I speak to them in parables, because looking they do not see, and hearing they do not listen or understand.

[ Wood, Hay, and Stubble, or Filthy Rags are works done for the wrong reason.
Good Works done for any other MOTIVE than LOVE FOR GOD & others, will not be accepted by GOD. ]

first, we fear Satan, and we can fear so much that we worry that Satan can know the exact date of our salvation, travel back in time and ... wow, we must be faithless!

You know that I will tell you that is ridiculous, don't you?

How Many of your sins were FUTURE when He died on the cross for you?

Romans 5:9-10 (ESV)
9 Since, therefore, we have now been justified by his blood, much more shall we be saved by him from the wrath of God.
10 For if while we were enemies we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, now that we are reconciled, shall we be saved by his life.

Who is greater, Satan or Christ?

1 John 4:4 (HCSB)
4 You are from God, little children, and you have conquered them, because the One who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world.

you are right, that silly fear is ridiculous

all our sins are future, like 2000 years future compared to the death on the cross for our sins

Christ is greater!

may we not be discouraged, amen

Hear is another portion of Scripture that tells us who is our PROTECTOR against Satan and Demons.

1 Peter 1:3-5 (HCSB)
3 Praise the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. According to His great mercy, He has given us a new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead
4 and into an inheritance that is imperishable, uncorrupted, and unfading, kept in heaven for you.
5 You are being protected by God’s power through faith for a salvation that is ready to be revealed in the last time.

Born Again Christians are PROTECTED BY GOD's POWER. About all Satan and his Demons can do is put TEMPTATION in our PATH. And they will do that very thing all they can. That is where we NEED to TRUST in JESUS TOTALLY, and that verse "Greater is he that is in the World." But a NON-Born Again Church Goer, could become Posessed by Satan or a Demon without the Holy Spirit in his Heart.

Hear is PART of your ARMOR that will prove to be very useful:

James 4:7 (NASB)
7 Submit therefore to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you.

I'm not to sure I like sword play! I like calm discussions...but we'll see.

I agree that we are not saved by works. Works of righteousness could be taken to mean that we think we could do enough work to please God. This is false; God needs nothing from us - He is wholly sufficient.

How does someone conflate justification with sanctification?
J is an immediate one time happening.
S is on-going for our whole life.
Right?

So if sanctfictnis on-going, doesn't that mean we are to do the good deeds God desires us to our whole life? Ephesians 2:10

Doesn't this mean we DO have to KEEP our salvation?
And how would it be kept except by obeying?

(obedience does not mean we will ALWAYS obey).
You're conflating sanctification with justification. Being justified is monergistic. That is salvation. Sanctification is synergistic. That isn't salvation but it is evidence of conversion.
