We are not saved by works, but thank God we got saved and continue to work out our salvation with fear and trembling. For once we were alienated from God and were enemies in our minds, as shown by our evil behavior. But now He has reconciled us by Christ's physical body through death to present us holy in His sight - if we continue in our faith, established and firm, not moved from the hope held out in the Gospel.

Colossians 1:21-23
Precisely. We are saved from our sins by a gracious and loving God.

Hebrews 10:14
For by one offering He has perfected forever those who are being sanctified.

Ephesians 2:16
and that He might reconcile them both to God in one body through the cross, thereby putting to death the enmity.

Colossians 1:20
and by Him to reconcile all things to Himself, by Him, whether things on earth or things in heaven, having made peace through the blood of His cross.

Colossians 2:14
having wiped out the handwriting of requirements that was against us, which was contrary to us. And He has taken it out of the way, having nailed it to the cross.

Galatians 3:13
Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us (for it is written, “Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree”),

Romans 5:9
Much more then, having now been justified by His blood, we shall be saved from wrath through Him.

i can go on and on
Yes. Jesus does not impute us; "JESUS SAVES US from the gutter-most to the uttermost."

And that salvation is secure because of the object of our faith.....Christ Jesus.
Of course, we are secure in the arms of Jesus.

What did Jesus do? Did he impute us, or did he save us from our sins?

Whoever has My commands and obeys them, he is the one who loves Me. Then do not devalue what God has done for us by using the word "imputation"

Impute H2803
חָשַׁב

Where did I use the word imputation?
Or any variation of it.

Now then, I have posted lots of scriptures about backsliding and the consequences. Please do not be a "pick an mix Christian."

Then how do you “lose” salvation?
By turning away, departing from the narrow path, becoming obsessed with worldly wealth, status, power etc and putting them before God, so that they become your god.

Did he not save us because of our sins?

The sin that seperated us from the Father.

That is why the temple curtain was torn in two.

And as a result.

Romans 4:13

The Promise Granted Through Faith
13 For the promise that he would be the heir of the world was not to Abraham or to his seed through the law, but through the righteousness of faith.

Romans 4:22-25
22 And therefore “it was accounted to him for righteousness.”
23 Now it was not written for his sake alone that it was imputed to him, 24 but also for us. It shall be imputed to us who believe in Him who raised up Jesus our Lord from the dead, 25 who was delivered up because of our offenses, and was raised because of our justification.

So the sin of idolatry?

Is it your contention then that Jesus did not die for the sin of idolatry?

Do you have a list of what He was the propitiation for and where He is not, I think I missed that in scripture:unsure:

"Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus: Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God" Romans 3:24-25 KJV

This is a different word.
G3049
λογίζομαι
logizomai
log-id'-zom-ahee
Middle voice from G3056; to take an inventory, that is, estimate (literally or figuratively): - conclude, (ac-) count (of), + despise, esteem, impute, lay, number, reason, reckon, suppose, think (on).
Total KJV occurrences: 41

The KJV uses imputed while other translations have reckoned; accepted; counted and regarded.
(ASV) but for our sake also, unto whom it shall be reckoned, who believe on him that raised Jesus our Lord from the dead,
(CEV) They were written for us, since we will also be accepted because of our faith in God, who raised our Lord Jesus to life.
(ESV) but for ours also. It will be counted to us who believe in him who raised from the dead Jesus our Lord,
(ISV) but also for us. Our faith will be regarded in the same way, if we believe in the one who raised Jesus our Lord from the dead.

See here for synonyms: https://www.freethesaurus.com/imputed

Abraham's faith was accepted by God like a passport to heaven. It was the key to heavens glory.

Lights out.

You got to love Romans, it shows how your theories about SALVATION are totally WRONG.

Romans 4:6-8 (KJV)
6 Even as David also describeth the blessedness of the man, unto whom God imputeth righteousness without works,
7 Saying, Blessed are they whose iniquities are forgiven, and whose sins are covered.
8 Blessed is the man to whom the Lord will not impute sin.

The verse you quote is for all those who put God first. Should we, at a later date turn our attention to something else, and it comes between us and God, then that becomes our idol, and we are in mortal danger.

Would like to explain that!

I will read it in the morning. Night.
