919 pages on the most important thing of salvation and we cant all agree..................... rip christianity........ they should include a step by step salvation guide in the front page of every bible.......... i think the reason for confusion is the bible itself because in some places it says just believe Jesus is God's son and youre good to go like john 20:21......... but then you have other places like hebrews 11 that define faith as obedience........ to complicate it even more we got acts 2:38 and mark 16:16 which add baptism into the mix(and we dont know how to baptize, in name of Jesus or Father Son and Holy Spirit).......... then people are arguing which baptism water or spirit ............. its truly a mess why cant we know such simple doctrine........ i can also prove from the bible eternal security with many verses saying we have eternal life now but then it also speaks of some people's names being wiped away from the book of life meaning they were there before and then wiped away......... then in romans 11 you have people being cutoff for unbelief and galatians 5:21 and 1 corinthians 6:9 and hebrews 10:26 and hebrews 6:4-6............. so this again is teh reason why people fight over OSAS vs not-OSAS because the bible is teaching both.................sometimes salvation is hard and you must strive to enter and sometimes its easy like drinking a glass of water and all you need to do is be poor to inherit the earth...... im very frustrated and tired of this.
I know your frustration. Had this too early in my walk. Also for a long period of time, was like the unstable man with two opinions.

Its just life in the Spirit. Once we get this...then we rest from our human nature...and rise in His.

I am reading the thread backwards and don't see loveme say anything about having to have to be baptized by water folks...,y'all might have misunderstood her.
After a bunch of diatribe about works necessary for salvation this is the post that started it all....It is obvious that BLUE referenced water immersion.....how would you take this based upon her stance on works and reply to Blue.....just saying....

HER RESPONSE>>>TO BLUE

Careful with your words.

John 3

5 Jesus answered, “Very truly I tell you, no one can enter the kingdom of God unless they are born of water and the Spirit.6 Flesh gives birth to flesh, but the Spirit[b] gives birth to spirit.7 You should not be surprised at my saying, ‘You[c] must be born again.’8 The wind blows wherever it pleases. You hear its sound, but you cannot tell where it comes from or where it is going. So it is with everyone born of the Spirit.”[d

Ariel and I know each from way back.
True statement.

Anyway, haven't seen you in a while. Hope you are having a blessed day. Pm me anytime, but will be offline starting Monday!!! So excited.

Oh dcon is just trying to get folks to trust fully in Jesus and not in self. He is rough around the edges but a good guy.

He does have a thing against works salvation doctrine (anything where someone teaches that you have to work to earn salvation will be squashed without mercy)

However he does believe that good works will follow AFTER you have been saved as a fruit of salvation.

.just fyi if you decide to stick around this thread.

You need to read your bible..seriously..
This is Truth:

9For this cause we also, since the day we heard it, do not cease to pray for you, and to desire that ye might be filled with the knowledge of his will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding; 10That ye might walk worthy of the Lord unto all pleasing, being fruitful in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of God; 11Strengthened with all might, according to his glorious power, unto all patience and longsuffering with joyfulness; 12Giving thanks unto the Father, which hath made us meet to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light:
13Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son: 14In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins:
The Supremacy of Christ

(Hebrews 1:1-14)
15Who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of every creature: 16For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him: 17And he is before all things, and by him all things consist. 18And he is the head of the body, the church: who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead; that in all things he might have the preeminence. 19For it pleased the Fatherthat in him should all fulness dwell; 20And, having made peace through the blood of his cross, by him to reconcile all things unto himself; by him, I say, whether they be things in earth, or things in heaven.

Not cake but bread... work for my Saviour as He commands.
What is the Bread and who gives us our daily bread?

What if God commands for them to rest?

Would you hand a hammer to a toddler and tell them to get to work building a house?

Did you not think to ask about the cake first? Since I replied to the cake work comment...

Yes....how does that apply to the fact that salvation is by faith and not works (aka the topic of the thread)

Can you briefly tell us how you would tell an unbeliever how they might be saved?

Just cuz your new to the thread and it will clear up misunderstanding.

I have mine pages back but can dig it up if you like.

Seriously Ariel, you need to book mark where you leave off reading, so you can find it later.. LOL

She says that John 3:16 is unbiblical. That blasphemy of the HS is unbiblical. She's bordering on heresy..

??? Now i have to re-read because I didn't see it.

She did ask about the whole "no strings attached" thing.

Did I miss something else?

I think you are misreading her comments.,, she says "no strings attached" is unbiblical.

You have to admit that unconditional love is a difficult concept to understand unless you first experience from God. Even then it's hard to understand, just live and give to others.
