Yet again...

Answer regarding that verse and quit deflecting.

You sin, every day. According to 1 John 3:9, you are not born of God.

Go ahead....try and worm your way out of it.
Christ told you to stop sinning. Why do you think it is okay to live in disobedience to Him?
Do people that refuse to believe His command and deliberately disobey Him every day go to heaven?

EG always promotes salvation by grace through faith. What have you contributed to this forum from a Biblical perspective?

Christ told you to stop sinning
So, you've stopped sinning?

Do people that refuse to believe His command and deliberately disobey Him every day go to heaven?
Do you disobey God and sin every day? How many of the sins you commit daily are intentional - or are they all accidental?

Still wiggling I see.

Tell me, what is your interpretation of that verse?
You're the one trying to pin me down with that verse. I asked you for clarity what you think the word cannot means. I can't answer until I have clarity about what we're discussing.

Why don't you just answer the man's question?
What is this man's question? I have written him off to delusion yet willing to help. What is the question? For starters, that would help. I've seen nothing but anger at dead authors. Was there a question somewhere in that? His rant on dead authors leads me to believe he might be mentally unstable. In that case, i will pray for him

Seems I'm a little late to the party. If we are going into another sinless thread that's fine debating the truths of this matter has it's purpose, however..... Nikki you have no right speaking the way you do to my family on cc. I don't care if you say the worst kinds of things to and about me but I am going to have ask you politely to back off when you speak this way to my family.

If you want to debate fine do so in a mature and respectable way however if you are going to lash out and speak falsely then you should not be debating.

The word cannot means : Can not, can't.

One born of God can not (cannot) sin. It's adds the final nail by saying one born of God does not sin.

Yet, you still do.

His question: "HOW CAN HISTORY TELL YOU WHAT I BELIEVE?"

And just stop with the "mentally unstable" condescension.

Please tell them that. They, imo, think any work for God is not warrented. From what I have witnessed here with this new gospel is its a do nothing gospel. I don't get it. Any move to do Gods will seems like evil to them. I can't understand it.
The gospel is the "good news" of the death, burial and resurrection of Christ (1 Corinthians 15:1-4 ) and is the power of God unto salvation to everyone who BELIEVES.. (Romans 1:16). That's not a new gospel and the "good news" is not do something to help save yourself because what Christ did is insufficient to save us. The gospel is not a code of laws to be obeyed or a check list of good works to accomplish as a prerequisite for salvation. The gospel sets forth Christ crucified, buried and risen as the Savior of everyone who believes/trusts in His finished work of redemption as the ALL-sufficient means of their salvation.

That's why I'm seeking clarity. Cannot is an ambiguous word. It can mean that it is impossible for a believer to sin, or that a believer is not permitted to sin, or maybe you have another meaning.

How do you interpret the word?

Oh, just stop.

The word cannot means can't.

Period.

End of story.

Nothing "ambiguous" about it.

Keep wiggling and diggin' that hole deeper for yourself.

Again. Stop calling him mentally unstable just because he asked you a question you cannot answer.
