When I was an atheist I dismissed The Bible's credibility and divine inspiration because the authors thought the earth was flat (referencing four corners and other things) and the sun revolved around it, rather than knowing the correct model like me.
I was interested in the moon landing hoax since I was in middle school, but the documentaries and claims always left me inconclusive, because I was watching what I now know as "controlled opposition disinformation". When the "Stanley Kubrick helped fake the moon landing and put hidden messages into The Shining" theory gained more popularity, I re-examined everything as an adult because I like the shining and moon landing conspiracy. I then started watching non-government approved moon landing hoax documentaries, which made it clearly evident it's a hoax and you can't unsee the zipper on the costume afterwards.
From there I figured the ISS, Mars, and Satellite hoax were worth looking into, and to my shock and amazement they were just as fake as the moon landing. Then after all of my concrete evidence of space travel and truthful government entities was thrown out the window, I was open to the possibility of the "flat earth theory" that I heard about a year or two before quickly in passing as the "flat earth society". I thought they were "Live action role-playing" or something. I looked into it and after hearing how controlled "space travel" airline travel, Antarctica and north pole travel were, as well as "secret societies" being behind anything globe, I decided the earth wasn't a spinning ball, and that the sun worshipers and occultists deceived the peasants in Europe in the 1600's because they could by word of mouth and numbers.
Also, once someone presented the idea to me that all the photos of earth are CGI, I looked at them again and it was obvious they were fake, and I'm still shocked this doesn't happen to everyone.
Then I asked God for forgiveness in fear and tears for doubting The Bible and Him and felt like a complete idiot for being an atheist (or "spiritual/newager) and trusting the government who I already thought I couldn't trust any less. This realization instantly made evolution, big bang, and denying God simultaneously impossible and evil. This is what cracked the shell/matrix and I guess the very first that made me think it was not a sphere was the lack of videos and images of the sphere or "outer space", coupled with the fact that The Bible and ancient civilizations I highly respected for building pyramids aligned to stars better than we can today, all thought it was flat. I also knew all the NASA "astrophysicists" were either jews or bitter atheists, and I use to argue with Christians for thinking the earth was 6,000 years old and they told me a lot of things in passing about government lies and flawed logic, that when applied to the flat earth model instead of the Globe made complete sense. And I questioned before all of this how the ancient structure remained alligned to the stars with "continental drift/plate movement", the sun moving in orbit and all the stars having their own orbit too, makes no sense on the globe earth model and the stationary flat one made more sense.

Just to organize them a bit to make sure I understand you
Would it be correct to say, repenting from atheism and all its teachings
Was the dominant factor in your thinking?
Not that you automatically explored the flat earth theory I suppose
But rather that you were more investigative once you broke its hold?
And it seems through your investigation you came to myriad questions
And from many questions you came to a single conclusion?
Forgive me if my analysis of you is wrong
But thank you for the insight, it is some good stuff to ponder
Praise God either way for opening your mind to thinking on His splendor
