I love you EG, I don't want to see you tripped up. All I'm trying to do is show you scripture to help you see the truth. We both know that Abraham never inherited Canaan, but we both know that he did inherit the promised land because the verses I posted way back (can't remember the passage now) said that Abraham received his inheritance. I'll see if I can find those verses again.
I love you too and I want to show you truth

abraham did not need to recieve it, he died before it was theirs just like God told him he would. (Even though he did live in the land and was buried there)

his descendents did inherit it, and as God said, it would be theirs forever

God told them if they sinned, he would punish them, up to and including destruction of their cities and temple and them being scattered to their enemies lands.

just like God promised he would do, that happened, because Isreal sinned (and is still in sin)

the same God that kept that promise, also promised if they repent, he will remember his promise he will remember the land (he promised)

you have him literally fulfilling the punishment. But reject he will fulfill the promise if they repent

jesus will inherit the world, he will also sit on David’s throne,

one day you will believe it, if not in this lifetime in the next

My father gave me an inheritance, if I die before I receive it, it does not mean my father lied, it would then go to my kids, as the land when to abrahams children (actually great great.....grand children

Gen 13:15 For all the land which thou seest, to thee will I give it, and to thy seed for ever.

God said he gave the land to Abraham and not only that, to his seed forever. Do you believe the land of Canaan exists forever?

Those are two very strong marks against your position if we take the bible for exactly what it says.

Abraham never possessed the land of Canaan.
The land of Canaan doesn't last forever.

Abrahams seed did get it as promised

the land still exists, hence the promise still stands

I doubt it EG. But I am curious as to how you reconcile God saying that he would give that land to Abraham FOREVER. Is forever just a metaphor for a long time?

the land is still here, it means it still is in effect.

as long as the land exists, it is in effect,

again, we have been here before you want to question God feel free

whem God says he will do something I believe it

Canaan doesn't last forever but the city whose builder and maker is God does last forever. I'll leave it at that.
God said he would give that forever

unlike you, I trust God to keep his promise

you can leave it wherever you want, but your mistrust of God will not stand

he made the promise to physical Israel through abraham Isaac and jacob, period

unless your Jewish and your nation repents, that promise has no bearing on you period

I don’t appreciate you accusing me of mistrusting God.

I don’t appreciate you accusing me of mistrusting God.
I don’t appreciate you saying God does not keep his promises,

God promised them land, the land of Canaan (physical) as an eternal gift.

he promised when they repented, he would restor them to that land, rebuild the cities which were destroyed, and restore them to eveything he promised them not for their sake but for his sake.

say he will not be do that would cause me to doubt he would keep his promise to me, for who am I that I am better than them?

it puts a stain on Gods reputation,

But you see I never said God didn’t keep his promise, I said that the land of Canaan isn’t the promised land.

But you see, it is

i posted the proof, using Gods own words

i posted the proof that they would return to THAT land, the land that was taken, and destroyed, and will be rebuilt

i can only God by what God said and what he promised. And not question him,

You posted YOUR understanding of scripture.

You posted YOUR understanding of scripture.
You posted yours

and have yet to explain why the following will never happen.

Lev 26 40 ‘But if they confess their wrongdoing and the wrongdoing of their forefathers, in their unfaithfulness which they committed against Me, and also in their acting with hostility against Me— 41 I also was acting with hostility against them, to bring them into the land of their enemies—or if their uncircumcised heart is humbled so that they then make amends for their wrongdoing, 42 then I will remember My covenant with Jacob, and I will remember also My covenant with Isaac, and My covenant with Abraham as well, and I will remember the land.

You have yet to explain why God physically kept all the punishments which he promised for their sin before this passage, but then state he will not keep this

yet further

Ezekiel 37: And say to them, ‘This is what the Lord God says: “Behold, I am going to take the sons of Israel from among the nations where they have gone, and I will gather them from every side and bring them into their own land; 22 and I will make them one nation in the land, on the mountains of Israel; and one king will be king for all of them; and they will no longer be two nations, and no longer be divided into two kingdoms. 23 They will no longer defile themselves with their idols, or with their detestable things, or with any of their offenses; but I will rescue them from all their dwelling places in which they have sinned, and will cleanse them. And they will be My people, and I will be their God.

you have yet to explain why God who said he would take them from the nations to where they where scattered based on the promises of lev 26, and bring them back to their own land, where they no longer commit their sins, since we as gentiles, because we failed to keep Gods will would ever suffer the punishment of lev 26. That was only given to physical Israel
or explain how this is not physical Canaan in a way that makes this scripture fulfilled

Ezekiel 20: 39 “As for you, house of Israel,” this is what the Lord God says: “Go, serve, everyone of you his idols; [aa]but later you will certainly listen to Me, and My holy name you will no longer defile with your gifts and your idols. 40 For on My holy mountain, on the high mountain of Israel,” declares the Lord God, “there the entire house of Israel, all of them, will serve Me in the land; there I will accept them and there I will demand your contributions and the choicest of your gifts, with all your holy things. 41 [ab]As a soothing aroma I will accept you art also when I bring you out from the peoples and gather you from the lands where you are scattered; and I will show Myself to be holy among you in the sight of the nations. 42 And you will know that I am the Lord, when I bring you into the land of Israel, into the land which I swore to give to your forefathers

Same as before, they repent, and restored, and brought out of the land they were sent to. Again, no gentile nation was scattered because of sin

Ezekiel 36: 24 For I will take you from among the nations, gather you out of all countries, and bring you into your own land. 25 Then I will sprinkle clean water on you, and you shall be clean; I will cleanse you from all your filthiness and from all your idols. 26 I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you; I will take the heart of stone out of your flesh and give you a heart of flesh. 27 I will put My Spirit within you and cause you to walk in My statutes, and you will keep My judgments and do them. 28 Then you shall dwell in the land that I gave to your fathers; you shall be My people, and I will be your God. 29 I will deliver you from all your uncleannesses. I will call for the grain and multiply it, and bring no famine upon you. 30 And I will multiply the fruit of your trees and the increase of your fields, so that you need never again bear the reproach of famine among the nations. 31 Then you will remember your evil ways and your deeds that were not good; and you will [e]loathe yourselves in your own sight, for your iniquities and your abominations. 32 Not for your sake do I do this,” says the Lord God, “let it be known to you. Be ashamed and confounded for your own ways, O house of Israel!”

33 ‘Thus says the Lord God: “On the day that I cleanse you from all your iniquities, I will also enable you to dwell in the cities, and the ruins shall be rebuilt. 34 The desolate land shall be tilled instead of lying desolate in the sight of all who pass by. 35 So they will say, ‘This land that was desolate has become like the garden of Eden; and the wasted, desolate, and ruined cities are now fortified and inhabited.’ 36 Then the nations which are left all around you shall know that I, the Lord, have rebuilt the ruined places and planted what was desolate. I, the Lord, have spoken it, and I will do it.”

again, no explanation of how these things can not mean physical Israel and physical Canaan, rebuilt? Can’t be new jerusalem, new jerusalem was never destroyed

its Not an I believe you believe issue, it’s what the word of god says,

I can see why EG thinks the Jews are the inheritors of the land because he is drawn to see things from the land belongs to the Jews perspective and honestly, on the surface it does appear that way if that’s what you’re looking for.
The same is true from our side, we are drawn to see things from the Christ perspective and on the surface that seems to be true but the 100% guaranteed truth comes from reconciling both sides with one another.
I can see why e-g believes false teaching.

KJV1611,
It's good that you see how during his time on earth, Abraham never inherited the land God promised him, but believed he would at a later time.

The misunderstanding of scripture has led many so called Christians, against all that Jesus taught, to support the use of force by Jewish people, believing their move to and occupation in the Middle East is a fulfillment of promise. This evil will prove fatal.

I'm ashamed to say so but at one time I believed that garbage myself.
