Ex 12:1-3
12 And the Lord spake unto Moses and Aaron in the land of Egypt, saying,
2 This month shall be unto you the beginning of months: it shall be the first month of the year to you.
3 Speak ye unto all the congregation of Israel, saying, In the tenth day of this month they shall take to them every man a lamb, according to the house of their fathers, a lamb for an house:
KJV

Here God took a calendar that was already in use and gave the new moon as a reference point for reckoning time.

It is NOT necessary to know the day of creation to know how to recognize the Sabbath!

the new moon should read the new moon of Abib.

I should have caught this sooner.

By keeping Sabbath you trash the cross and say it's no good I must keep Sabbath to be righteous. Right or wrong? think about it.

That would be true if and only if you think your righteousness depends on keeping it.

I understand the Sabbath to be a time that God has established for the purpose of fellowship with His people.

My Salvation and my relationship with God do not depend on my observance of the Sabbath; But if God asks me to meet with Him at that time, I don't want to disappoint HIM even if I can get away with it!

You either believe what the Bible says and Keep Gods Sabbath or do what you want and die. That simple. There is only one God and one faith. God did not say we could pick and choose what we wanted from the Bible.

When we stand before the judge (our just and fair God). How many sins do we need to be guilty of, to be judged as lost, or unsaved?
Jas_2:10 For whosoever shall keep the whole law, and yet offend in one point, he is guilty of all.
We are all Sinners worthy of death.
Rom 3:23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;
Thank Goodness for Jesus and His perfect righteousness (perfect obedience to the law).
Rom 3:27 Where is boasting then? It is excluded. By what law? of works? Nay: but by the law of faith.
Rom 3:28 Therefore we conclude that a man is justified by faith without the deeds of the law.
Rom 3:29 Is he the God of the Jews only? is he not also of the Gentiles? Yes, of the Gentiles also:
Rom 3:30 Seeing it is one God, which shall justify the circumcision by faith, and uncircumcision through faith.
Rom 3:31 Do we then make void the law through faith? God forbid: yea, we establish the law.

Paul has dealt with this issue already, keeping the law dose not save us and will not make us worthy but we shouldn't freely transgress the law because of Christ's blood that covers our sins.

Gal 2:16 Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified by the faith of Christ, and not by the works of the law: for by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified.
Gal 2:17 But if, while we seek to be justified by Christ, we ourselves also are found sinners, is therefore Christ the minister of sin? God forbid.

While we seek to be justified by faith in Christ, we shouldn't find ourselves as sinners (transgressing the law), Christ isn't the minister of sin.

Joh_14:15 If ye love me, keep my commandments.

I love the scriptures you put up, and accept you believe in the grace of the bible.
However, it is not possible for a truly born again Christian to ''freely transgress'' the law written on their mind and placed on their heart by the Holy Spirit. But you cannot accept what I am saying in this regard, for to do so would challenge your beliefs.

I'll try to understand? If my conscience tells me it's wrong to "take the Lords name in vain" and i determine not to because i love God and don't want to sin, does that mean i will never take the Lords name in vain ever again or by accident? King David was a man after Gods own heart and he choose to sin. Moses was close to God and he choose to sin (lost his temper). Please explain what your saying above?

By keeping Sabbath you trash the cross and say it's no good I must keep Sabbath to be righteous. Right or wrong? think about it.
Well, do you think the same thing about the sixth Commandment?

By not murdering, you trash the cross and say it's no good I must not kill anyone to be righteous. Right or wrong? think about it.
See how stupid this sounds?

It is not possible for a Christian to sin without conscience is it? Could you take the Lord's name in vain without conscience? I could not. Why not? Because the law God requires me to keep if you like is written on my mind and placed on my heart by the Holy Spirit at the point of conversion, that IS one of the two core points of the new covenant. That law makes us aware of our sin, for sin is transgression of the law-as you accept. There is no hiding from it.
I do not have a conscience I am sinning before God by not observing a 'Saturday sabbath' That only leaves two possibilities, if you understand the spiritual reality. Either the Holy Spirit cannot have written that particular law on my mind or placed it on my heart, or I cannot be saved.

Paul speaks of ''disputable matters'' This subject would never be debated as it is, if all just accepted the wIsdom of the man who wrote half the books of the NT

We all have A CHOICE love never forces and even born again Christians can chose to rebel if they want to. Lucifer the glorious angel in heaven with God (surrounded by light and righteousness), chose to openly sin. Can we do the same?

i know personally that in me dwells two forces, Self and The Spirit of God. Satan is tempting me to be selfish and my conscience (Holy Spirit) is telling me to obey God. Sadly I don't always choose what is right, i don't always crucify the flesh.

Rom 7:24 O wretched man that I am! who shall deliver me from the body of this death?
Rom 7:25 I thank God through Jesus Christ our Lord. So then with the mind I myself serve the law of God; but with the flesh the law of sin.

You cannot crucify your own flesh
The point being, the born again Christian can and does sin, but they cannot sin without conscience

I think of it like "light and darkness", when we don't know about the love of God and walk in or own ways we are not very able to hear the voice of God in matters (the law hasn't revealed our sin), Gods righteousness hasn't revealed our stains and we don't feel guilty for things we don't know about. As we come closers to God and understand His will (law) we are enlightened and begin to see our sinfulness compared to His perfect glory. If i seen all of my Sins at once i would be overwhelmed with guilt.
You said the law is "written on my mind and placed on my heart by the Holy Spirit at the point of conversion". i say it is 'being" written on my mind and placed on my heart by the Holy Spirit from the point of conversion. I believe it is a continual process.

Eph 3:18 May be able to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth, and length, and depth, and height;
Eph 3:19 And to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fulness of God.
Eph 4:13 Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ:
Eph 4:14 That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive;
Eph 4:15 But speaking the truth in love, may grow up into him in all things, which is the head, even Christ:

My aim is to be filled with all the fullness of Christ. And it is possible with Christ but we may need eternity to get there.

I am afraid your view is not scriptural. God gave no one a license to sin. However, I realise you must take the view you do, otherwise....

Hi Michael

Jer 32:37 Behold, I will gather them out of all countries, whither I have driven them in mine anger, and in my fury, and in great wrath; and I will bring them again unto this place, and I will cause them to dwell safely:
Jer 32:38 And they shall be my people, and I will be their God:
Jer 32:39 And I will give them one heart, and one way, that they may fear me for ever, for the good of them, and of their children after them:
Jer 32:40 And I will make an everlasting covenant with them, that I will not turn away from them, to do them good; but I will put my fear in their hearts, that they shall not depart from me.
Jer 32:41 Yea, I will rejoice over them to do them good, and I will plant them in this land assuredly with my whole heart and with my whole soul.
Jer 32:42 For thus saith the LORD; Like as I have brought all this great evil upon this people, so will I bring upon them all the good that I have promised them.

For you to enjoy :)

I wonder what his thoughts were on the break between the shift from the Julian to the Gregorian calendar? There was a well known break of 10 days.

I would also be curious on how the author dealt with different calendars in different cultures?

In 1582, please notice that Thursday the 4th was followed by Friday the 15th. The weekly cycle was not interrupted. Now take a look at 1752, Wednesday the 2nd was followed by Thursday the 14th. Again, the calendar had to be adjusted to correct it to the seasons but the weekly cycle remained unchanged.

This is very simple to understand, surely you are not confused by this are you?

As far as different calendars, who cares? The calendar we use has the exact same weekly cycle that we find in Genesis. You do know that in over 100 languages, the name for the seventh day of the week is Sabbath, don't you?

Uh, in a previous post you stated that the fourth Commandment had not been written in your heart. Who chooses which Commandments? That up to us, is it?

God said on the. Seventh Day he rested. I would say yes God does keep the Sabbath and so do I.
Remember that rest should be for the inward man too and not just resting the outside man.
A person can be laying down physically resting their body and be worried terribly.

Do you see now why we say JESUS is our REST.
