THIS is exactly why Jesus turned to the Religious leaders of His day and told them point blank to theIR face, the harlots, tax collectors, drunkards, fornicators, thieves, murderers, etc.. GO INTO THE KINGDOM OF HEAVEN BEFORE YOU DO.. why? because they Beleived on Christ , who He was, those who God Called . The religious leaders, were working there way to Heaven, unable to 'see' nor 'understANd' the Righteousness of God WHICH was standing before them! it was Hidden from them... but revealed to those who God would call.... zeal for God... the right zeal or the Wrong Zeal.... the Works of the Law + Christ, wont get you there.. DANGEROUS GROUND!
The Pharisees did not do the weightier matters of the Law like justice, love, and mercy. That is why they could not enter in. They were self righteous and did not think they had to repent of their sins.

No law means no need for judgement. In a world with no laws there would be no need for a courthouse and judge because no one can break any laws (there is non to break). With no law we don't need to stand before God, no need for judgement. We do stand before God and are judged, hopefully as righteous (perfect, law abiding, obeying the law without fault), because Jesus covers us with His perfect blood (perfectly law abiding) and counts us as righteous. Not by my works, i am not under the law because i am unrighteous, the consequences of breaking the law is death, but faith in the grace of Jesus makes us free from the law that condemns us. We are not under the law but i love to live like Jesus and keep the law, and i want to obey it not to be saved but because i have been saved (love response John 14:15 If ye love me, keep my commandments). If the spirit that controlled Jesus controls me, i will obey the law.

Rom_4:15 Because the law worketh wrath: for where no law is, there is no transgression.
Rom_7:7 What shall we say then? Is the law sin? God forbid. Nay, I had not known sin, but by the law: for I had not known lust, except the law had said, Thou shalt not covet.
Rom_7:9 For I was alive without the law once: but when the commandment came, sin revived, and I died.
Rom_7:12 Wherefore the law is holy, and the commandment holy, and just, and good.
Rom_7:14 For we know that the law is spiritual: but I am carnal, sold under sin.[/QUOTE Those without law will be judged without the law and those that have the law will be judged by the law, Thank God in Christ we neither have not the law, nor are of the law but faith that works by love.

What kind of faith are we talking about here? A mental belief alone type faith? Some here hold to that view. Do you believe that?

Therefore I Endure all things for the Elect's sakes, that they may also obtain the salvation which is in Christ Jesus with Eternal glory.

Sorry Jason.. corruption is such a lovely thing!

THATS----> why the Preaching of Christ Crucified, is always the STANDARD, OR THE Foundation of the Gospel of Christ, and it HAS TO BE FOR THE GENUINE CONVERT! because it NULLIFIES the 'pride' of man, his attempts to climb up some other way, even when 'claiming to know christ' lolz.. so very evident today! you see who is 'working their way to Heaven'.. very very evident

But We Preach Christ Crucified! the Wisdom, Power, Sanctification, and REDEMPTION of God! indeed! to God be the Glory!

Strength Made Perfect in Weakness! indeed!
Yes, I realize there are those who think they can be justified by the Law alone. I don't believe that.

But did not Paul say we establish the Law? Surely this is not talking about the Law of Moses. I realize that. So what Law is Paul talking about then? Lawlessness is when a person does not submit to God's righteousness. For a believer cannot murder, cheat, steal, lie, fornicate, or hate because they would not be submitting to God's righteousness. For the fruits of the Spirit are love, joy, peace, etc.

Hello.

Sorry, that passage does not really answer my question. Do you believe you can not follow Jesus Christ and not submit to His commandments and or get away with abiding in certain unrepentant sins and still be saved? I am curious. How do you define "faith"? Is it a mental acknowledgment alone type faith or is a true faith always followed by works?

Yes, I agree with the preaching of the cross aspect you are saying in some parts, but then you do not say anything more after that. Yes, we get right with God by the work of the cross. But is that it? Is that the end of our faith?

What do you mean by corruption is such a lovely thing?

Surely you can't believe that. Corruption is not a lovely thing.

By the quoting of this passage in 2 Timothy 2, it appears that you are in line with doing certain things within your faith.

But avoid 1.foolish questions, and 2. genealogies, and 3. contentions, and 4. STRIVINGS about the LAW; for they are unprofitable and vain.

Saints PERSEVERE , AND are Kept in Christ, because God 'keeps' them... this not based on man's abilities.. no , You are Led of the Spirit, and Kept in Christ by the Father.. indeed!

Now UNTO----> HIM that is 'able ' to keep you from falling, and to present you faultless before the Presence of His Glory with exceeding joy, jUDE 1 : 24

the Saint Perseveres and is Kept in Him, because God is ABLE, not based on his/her works to 'keep' oneself, that is a man made salvation.... the word ABLE there is 1410 Dunamis- Holy Ghost power, that is not man made power but it comes from the Father, God is ABLE to keep you... man says, I AM ABLE TO KEEP MYSELF AND PERSEVERE.. thats not what the Word Tells us! indeed!
I agree that God has the power to keep His people. But God does not force people to be saved, though. A person has to choose this day in whom they will serve every day. What about the Parable of the Sower? Did not those who received the seed of the Word suceed over the devil in not taking the Word out of their hearts initially but some of them later fell away due to persecution and or the cares of this life?

Strivings about the Law is in context to the Law of Moses. Paul says in his Word that what he has written is to be considered the Lord's Commandments. Paul says he establishes the Law. Not the Law of Moses but the Law of Christ. Paul says we fulfill the Law by loving our neighbor. Surely discussing these Scriptures that Paul talks about is not wrong. Paul also says if any man speaks contrary to the words of Jesus Christ and the doctrine of Godliness is proud and knows nothing. Are you against Godliness or living righteously? Do you believe the author of Hebrews when he says that without holiness, no man shall see the Lord?

Again, why do you keep saying corruption is a lovely thing? Corruption is not a lovely thing. That is a wrong thing to say.

No, corruption is no a beautiful and lovely thing. That is wrong to say that.

Also, your quote of Titus 3:10 does not mean anything unless you can back up your reasoning as to why you believe I am heretick.

Thou Sealest up the Sum, Full of Wisdom, and perfect in beauty.

Thou hast been in Eden the Garden of God; every precious stone was thy covering, the sardius, topaz, and the diamond, the beryl, the onyx, and the jasper, the sapphire, the emerald, and the carbuncle, and gold: the workmanship of thy tabrets and of thy pipes was prepared in thee in the day that thou wast Created.

Thou art the Anointed Cherub that covereth; and I have set thee so: thou wast upon the Holy Mountain of God; thou hast walked up and down in the midst of the Stones of Fire. Ezekiel

sorry Jason, you have been 'corrupted' by the Master corrupter! oh yes.. beauty .truly is only skin deep, but it is VERY VERY VERY corrupt at times! sorry Corruption is a very very lovely , wise, and beautiful thing.

Some Corruption is IS NOT covered by the blood of Christ.. it cant be Redeemed!

Rms 3:27 where is boasting then, it is excluded. By what law? Of works? Nay; but by the law of faith.
:28 therefore we conclude that man is justified by faith without the deeds of the law.
:29 is he the god of the Jews only? Is he not also of the Gentiles? Yes of the Gentiles also.
:30 seeing it is one god which shall justify the circumcision by faith, and circumcision through faith.
:31 Do we then make void the law through faith? God forbid; yea we establish the law.

So the law that is being talked about if the law of faith not the law of works. Through the law of faith we establish the law not make it void.

Jason, I hope that helps in clearing up your question brother.

God bless

Notice the Pharisees, are always concerned about every body else's sin.. persay... yet they dont see their own Hypocrisy and their hardened Heart to the Spirit of Grace...

Its True what Jesus said to those who accused Him falsely , after He healed the blind beggar in the Temple on the Sabbath, they accused the blind man of never being blind, then accused Jesus of being a Sinner...lolz... what did He tell them..???

If ye were blind ye would be without Sin,

but yet you say 'we see'... your Sin remains!

Rms 3:30 should have read ...........circumcision by faith and UNCIRCUMCISION through faith.
So sorry!

So the requirements of the law and not the following of the law are met through the law of Faith which we are now justified by.

God bless

The law of faith. Good. Well, how do you define faith? Well, faith without works is a dead faith. So yes, we are not saved by works, but we are saved by grace thru faith that brings forth works. So while we are not saved by doing works in and of themselves, a true saving faith will always result in proving itself to be true by it having works.
