Awesome Magenta....now how about one with Cary Grant or Clark Gable, (y)(y)(y)lol.
Cary Grant I could go along with (maybe ;):D:giggle:)... Clark always struck me as a little too greasy LOLOLOLOLOLOL

I'd prolly much rather prefer to do a Katherine

Or, how about Loreta Young? Or Rita Hayworth?

No he-man guardian angels around, oh I remember you saying stock pictures are limited on the male figures. That's quite ok we have real guardian angels right, lol. All your work is enlightening:love: G'nite/morning all.

I've always loved the ending of this song. Rita Coolidge says she and Jim Gordon wrote it but she never got credit for it and when she complained to the record company, they basically laughed at her. It went on to become one of Eric Clapton's biggest hits.

I dont think there is enough for Gandy lol.
Bucketing down with rain here, so this would do just nicely :)
You know I thought that, too, because there was only one cup, but we
don't want Gandy's coffee getting cold while we wait for him to arrive :);)

Here's a great old song from Crosby Stills and Nash. It's about all the time that we wasted in our lives. Not drugs lol.

That's good your healing.. I'm sure it will be painful and uncomfortable. I'll keep you in my prayers Sis.(y).. I think I would pass out if I looked my own wound that deep.... It's funny I can look at the blood and wounds of others...But if I see my own - I definitely need to take a seat before my legs go lol:ROFL::LOL:

all the time that we wasted in our lives. Not drugs lol.

Good morning, friends :)

You know, Gabe, I was just thinking about C S & N the other day!

Mostly about how caught up in that self destructive life-style they got...
but of course also how talented and richly blessed they all were :)

I had originally been thinking about Joni...

Perhaps I should make a panel using her face as well (y)

Was it just yesterday? Time has a way of getting away from me... :giggle:

"The Summer of Love" was mentioned in a thread here... ugh, such a misappropriation of terms

I was listening to the song "San Francisco" a lot after that (and also the
Mommas and the Poppas), cuz it was John Phillips who wrote the song

John Phillips played a large role in organizing the Monterey Pop Music Fest of '67 :D

which is said to be the first of its kind tho it was not quite ;)

The festival is remembered for the first major American appearances by the
Jimi Hendrix Experience, the Who and Ravi Shankar, the first large-scale public
performance of Janis Joplin and the introduction of Otis Redding to a mass
American audience. The Monterey Pop Festival embodied the theme of California
as a focal point for the counterculture and generally is regarded as one of the
beginnings of the "Summer of Love" in 1967 and the public debut of the Hippie,
Flower Power and Flower Children movements and era. The first rock festival of
this type had been held just one week earlier at Mount Tamalpais in Marin County,
California, the KFRC Fantasy Fair and Magic Mountain Music Festival. Because Monterey
was widely promoted and heavily attended, featured historic performances, and was the
subject of a popular theatrical documentary film, it became an inspiration and a template
for future music festivals, including the Woodstock Festival two years later. Rolling Stone
publisher Jann Wenner said "Monterey was the nexus – it sprang from what the Beatles
began, and from it sprang what followed." <= from wiki ;):D

And of course, a lot of people know that Joni wrote the song "Woodstock"
which was then covered and made famous by Crosby Stills Nash & Young...
Joni could not even make it to that concert, though she had wanted to go

So did I want to go to Woodstock, too :ROFL:

But I was only 14 at the time, and knew it was an impossible dream... :censored::cry:;):giggle::geek:

Oh, yes, love love loved the double LP Layla and Other Assorted Love Songs (y)

Hard to believe I was only 15 when that came out o_O

That release is largely regarded as Eric's greatest musical achievement
and I can see why :D I find it hard to believe that Rita Coolidge wrote it

I could tell more stories but this post is already quite long LOL and
the breakfast @phil36 has served us is getting cold, so... :):):)

Thanks, Phil! :)(y):) Scrambled, please!!! :D
