Cobus, I often wondered as to what you spoke to, as for me it was confusing, not saying it was yur fault, my dislexia does blind me sometimes.
I do see what you strive to speak to here, but consider this, even Peter refured to Paul as being better able to speak to
this subject.
Sometimes we have to step back, and let the scriptures speak to the heart and mind of those we desire to witness to, for this is why they are given.
It was Paul's letters that helped me to see, and faith that brought understanding.
Sometimes we have to trust some to God, so they will understand .

No! NEVER! But God in us will NEVER SIN... SO all we have to do is TRADE PLACES WITH HIM... Radius read John 17... And see how ONE WE BECOME WITH GOD... And every one that is ONE WITH GOD .... People have put it on here many times, and with the proof, that the word perfect in English, means mature.
The more we study, pray and witness, the better we get at not sinning out of our mouth's, most importantly: and moderate ourselves as to what we put into our mouths. (that's like trying to follow a diet LOL)
Just because one is forgiven of a sin, does not mean that they will escape the punishment for it.
Sins you put into ones mouth: sore stomach, hangovers, illness, energy level etc....pay as you go plan. LOL
Sins that come out of ones mouth: family and friends spirits disrupted, fights, arguments, gossiping, grudges, bitterness etc...Works to repair, that most times won't happen without without Our Father's help. REPENT!

Something is amiss......we all know very well that here and now we CANNOT be PERFECT, there was only one that was perfect and we know it is Jesus Christ, He set an example for us to follow, we are to strive for that perfection and that perfection will only come once we Jesus returns for us because the WORD tells us that for now we see in part but when Christ returns we will know in full and THAT is when we will be perfect, when we receive our glorified bodies which we DO NOT HAVE NOW.
So I do not accept the phrase " BE PERFECT" in Mathew 5 : 48 to be of true translation, untill I know for a fact exactly what the author meant in verse 48, I will settle for The New King James Bible translation of:
"Therefore you shall be perfect, just as your Father in heaven is perfect." meaning to my understanding that if we do all what Jesus tells us from verse one.....we shall be perfect.

we are new creatures, given the most wonderful gift of eternal life - and the perspective we ought to take is the eternal one - right now we are 'seated with Christ in the heavenlies' (Ephesians 2:6-7) - but at the same time we are here in this world, still wrapped in flesh, and still we all stumble daily.
who can "be perfect" ?? but all things are possible with God and in Him we are perfect, even now - we are perfected in His grace, even as now in this world we are being perfected. the work He began in us He will not fail to complete - we will be perfect and in Christ, we are because we hold to the promise He made to perfect us.
all that is in us that isn't perfect will be tested by fire and burned away. the perfect work of God is what remains! some of us may have salvation, but all their lives amount to ashes in the final assessment - the question isn't 'how to be perfect?' - only through Grace by Faith! for it's impossible for mankind - but the question is 'how much will we amount to' in the final tally?

No, I would say God Inspired the Apostles writings and teachings for the perfecting of the Saints...which is what we as Christians strive for, that is what we are to aim for, it is our goal posts......
We are taught in scripture that if we confess our sins to one another He is faithful and just to forgive them...why would we want to do that if we are perfect and do not sin??
yes the Word says that, but is that really a "perfect" translation or meaning??.....I am cautious as if we take that at face value then Scripture contradicts itself and would fall apart...think about it for a time Cobus, how can Scripture say one thing then say another that totally contradicts the other?...IT IS NOT POSSIBLE FOR GOD TO CONTRADICT HIMSELF...so then there has to be more to it not so??

Cobus you have said many times we must be perfect, and I have said many times we are made perfect by love and faith whilst you say no saint has sin. you are being very confusing you say one thing then contradict it by saying another. So the cobus, are you a saint? are you free from sin, if so then how and why? is it not because of what Jesus did for you? is it not because of your faith and love? you talk so much how we must be perfect but how is it you propose we do this?

The Bible says... God appointed these men for the perfecting of the Saints... what do you not uderstand there.. God did not appoint them to STRIVE to be perfect but TO MAKE THEM UNTO A PERFECT MAN... What is so difficult just to ACCEPT that word As it is in your Bbile...
Now do you have to change your bible to suit the sinner? Or does the sinner have to be changed to be a LIVING GODLY PERFECT WORD OF GOD?
