Matthew 7:23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.
how ironic - the great WORKS RIGHTEOUSNESS, deceived by doctrines of devils, NEVER SAVED passage.

If you dont know the meaning of the term sinner, then why would you even insert yourself in this discussion. I will let Jesus answer your question.

Matthew 7:23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.

Sinners are workers of iniquity, and will be cast away come judgment day (unless of course Jesus is also a liar, and heretic?)

Quit being so insulting...it wastes time..all i wanted was YOUR definition of the word..."sinner"
by the way none of those verses helped you case.

talk about getting doctrine from devils.
You have shown yourself. you call the guidance of the Holy Spirit a doctrine of demons.

Yep you have shown yourself

Im not trying to fight with you 4runner. Im just trying to figure out where You are.

For instance ... I think Jesus never sinned. He was not a sinner. But people who sin are sinners. So to me, if a person isnt perfect they are
sinners.

Im not saying anything about whether they do it overtly, or fell into error. Im just saying until you are perfect, you are a sinner.

Is you defination different than mine?? :)

mmm I have to stand with Zone on this one. works do NOT save. only Grace from GOD does.

here is the Bible verses:

2 Timothy 1:8-10
New King James Version (NKJV)
8 Therefore do not be ashamed of the testimony of our Lord, nor of me His prisoner, but share with me in the sufferings for the gospel according to the power of God, 9 who has saved us and called us with a holy calling, not according to our works, but according to His own purpose and grace which was given to us in Christ Jesus before time began, 10 but has now been revealed by the appearing of our Savior Jesus Christ, who has abolished death and brought life and immortality to light through the gospel,

Titus 3:4-6
New King James Version (NKJV)
4 But when the kindness and the love of God our Savior toward man appeared, 5 not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to His mercy He saved us, through the washing of regeneration and renewing of the Holy Spirit, 6 whom He poured out on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Savior,

anyway i'm off for a walk in the woods :) talk to you guys later :)

Well im not trying to be too technical with you, but the verse there is really loaded
first of all the word sinner isnt used
second workers of iniquity is not the same as sinners
And the purpose was dual in what He was saying:
These people who didnt know Jesus were showboats
not just drunks or what have you, but actually
making a show to have great spirituals gifts
power. Wow what great work of iniquity
that is, yet its all around

This guy '4runner' needs to get married and love his wife as Christ loves the church and gave himself for it. It would sober him right up and he would get to see what being a believer is in action. Talk about being a sinner, he would be in for quite a surprise when he finds out some of the things that is in his heart that God needs to deal with. Most of the time when we think of sin we think of overt sins of the flesh and we seldom think of the sins of the tongue. Concerning those (7) things that are an abomination to the Lord in (Prov 6), (3) of them have to do with sins of the tongue. Getting married, he would be in for a merry-go-round and would have to spend alot of time on his knees confessing his sin and short comings as a husband before God or be so legalistic that his wife wouldn't want to be with him and would run for help just to be a part of a ministry of grace.
