Do you understand the meaning of confession and repentance.

And yes, what you said is true and it is also true that he was a heavy drinker.

Would you like to tell us all about YOUR past wrong choices in life so that we can pick you apart?????

Seems like I remember that Moses was a murder. Do we then reject the 1st 5 books of the Bible??????

Seems to me I remember that David was an adulterer, a liar, a murderer as well but God used him greatly.

What about Paul. He also was a murderer. Do we now remove the 50% of the New Test. that he wrote ?????

IS Moses, and David and Paul and many others also products of a corrupt tree??????

Your thesis is very flawed my friend.
Remember...

Destroying the messanger is always a backup for a weak argument.

I have started to lean slightly more toward the mid “trib” position, from pre trib for several reasons.

First, I think we get mixed up in the terminology.

When we talk about the great tribulation it’s generally meant to be about Gods wrath poured out on a wicked unbelieving world.

The rabbis see a lot of prophecy as pattern and fulfillment. Whereas we usually see it as prediction and fulfillment. Both are true.

God says:

Hosea 12:10
King James Version

10 I have also spoken by the prophets, and I have multiplied visions, and used similitudes, by the ministry of the prophets.

So if we look at the pattern of how God judges the wicked and ungodly, we repeatedly see Him removing His people BEFORE He pours out His wrath.

Here are just some of those instances:

Enoch raptured ( Noah and family preserved through judgement)

Lot and family removed before Sodom judged and destroyed. Notice that the destruction couldn’t even begin UNTIL Lot was removed.

Rehab is a similitude of those saved DURING destruction.

So the point is that there will be some removed (raptured) BEFORE God’s wrath, some who come to Jesus DURING Gods wrath.

But both will be subject to satans persecution.

The current believing Church cannot be here when the anti christ seats himself in the temple, because then we would know the exact day of His return. But we likely will be persecuted by him until then.

Hence the lean toward mid trib.

You can only fool yourself.

What is the point?

You actually think rev 19 HAS A MILLION MAN ARMY all on horses blackening the sky STARTING FROM HEAVEN...while a fake Jesus is sitting on a cloud all by himself with a sickle in rev 14 DURING THE GT ?...and foolishly pass that off as the same thing????
Not even close

How in the world could you invent that as a doctrine and pass that off as the same coming??????

Postrib rapturist need to wake up to what they are doing.
Read what happens to people who change revelation
Interpreting Revelation isn't the same as adding to it or taking away from it. If trying to understand Revelation and getting it wrong came with such dire consequences, as you falsely claim, then God help us all.

That's a reference to literally omitting or literally adding to the texts.

Wow you really went there.

Be careful how you judge because that judgment has a way of being applied back to you.

Is the Great Tribulation God's wrath? It seems like the antagonists in the great tribulation are the ones causing the persecution, mark of the beast, worship of the anti-Christ.

The conditions that create the rise of the anti-Christ and the false prophet is the great apostasy of the church and the "restrainer" being taken out of the way.

In other words, the Earth will reach a point of widespread wickedness just like it was in the days of Noah and the days of Lot. So the great tribulation is not caused by God, rather it's caused by wicked people.

We know what happens when wickedness becomes so widespread: God responds to it.

God's response to the great tribulation are two witnesses, the plagues, and bowls of wrath.

Yes Gods response is the (Two Witnesses) who will be present on earth 1260 days Rev 11:3, the entire time the Antichrist has his power for 42 months, Rev 13:5

A complete remake of Moses/Aaron against Pharaoh of Egypt, as the Sealed church is protected from these plagues.

All believers are sealed Eph 1:13, 4:30

Imagine Torment for 5 months, desiring to die and unable to die?

Ephesians 4:30KJV
30 And grieve not the holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption.

Revelation 9:4-6KJV
4 And it was commanded them that they should not hurt the grass of the earth, neither any green thing, neither any tree; but only those men which have not the seal of God in their foreheads.
5 And to them it was given that they should not kill them, but that they should be tormented five months: and their torment was as the torment of a scorpion, when he striketh a man.
6 And in those days shall men seek death, and shall not find it; and shall desire to die, and death shall flee from them.

A complete remake of Moses/Aaron against Pharaoh of Egypt

Revelation 16:1-11KJV
1 And I heard a great voice out of the temple saying to the seven angels, Go your ways, and pour out the vials of the wrath of God upon the earth.
2 And the first went, and poured out his vial upon the earth; and there fell a noisome and grievous sore upon the men which had the mark of the beast, and upon them which worshipped his image.
3 And the second angel poured out his vial upon the sea; and it became as the blood of a dead man: and every living soul died in the sea.
4 And the third angel poured out his vial upon the rivers and fountains of waters; and they became blood.
5 And I heard the angel of the waters say, Thou art righteous, O Lord, which art, and wast, and shalt be, because thou hast judged thus.
6 For they have shed the blood of saints and prophets, and thou hast given them blood to drink; for they are worthy.
7 And I heard another out of the altar say, Even so, Lord God Almighty, true and righteous are thy judgments.
8 And the fourth angel poured out his vial upon the sun; and power was given unto him to scorch men with fire.
9 And men were scorched with great heat, and blasphemed the name of God, which hath power over these plagues: and they repented not to give him glory.
10 And the fifth angel poured out his vial upon the seat of the beast; and his kingdom was full of darkness; and they gnawed their tongues for pain,
11 And blasphemed the God of heaven because of their pains and their sores, and repented not of their deeds.

Bingo!!!!!
You are the first postrib to open the postrib door of the impossible. My job is easy once one of you actually goes through that door.
You guys defend the impossible by ignoring verses and claim high ground.

Rev 14 is not the return on horses.

No brainer.

Post trib rapture is poorly thought out.
Yes.

They are the 5 foolish virgins of mat 25.

They are martyred right away at the beginning of the gt.
*
The hosses in 14 is not the tribulation, tribulation comes from man, the horses are God's wrath

The church is the Bride, not the bridal attendants, the Bride does not need to seek entrance to the marriage feast, it's in her [and the Grooms] honour. Moreover the the foolish maidens did not gain entrance into the feast, the kingdom, so they were not in heaven.

Its your teaching Jesus Christ warned his followers about.

The deceptive part on a literal Millennial Kingdom on earth is, many teach Jesus Christ is going to return and take a physical throne of David in Jerusalem, "Amongst Mortal Humans"?

Beware Of (The Man Of Sin/The Antichrist)!

Jesus Christ Warns Of (The Man Of Sin/The Antichrist) Seen Below, "Go Not Forth" "Believe It Not"

(For There Shall Arise False Christs And False Prophets)

The Antichrist And False Prophet, Showing Signs And Wonders!

Matthew 24:23-27KJV
23 Then if any man shall say unto you, Lo, here is Christ, or there; believe it not.
24 For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect.
25
Behold, I have told you before.
26 Wherefore if they shall say unto you, Behold, he is in the desert; go not forth: behold, he is in the secret chambers; believe it not.
27 For as the lightning cometh out of the east, and shineth even unto the west; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.
I'm assuming you do believe that the church is to be gathered? then He comes as lightening that shines from east to west and every eye shall see Him.

But the day of the Lord we are told comes as a thief in the night not as lightening I keep showing you that these are not the same.

You do not read my replies and then you moan that I don't answer.

[re: the 2W present on earth 1260 days, SUPPOSEDLY ]"the entire time the Antichrist has his power for 42 months, Rev 13:5"

Just how are you defining the word "protected"?

Consider the following passages:

Daniel 7:20b-27 -

"[...] even of that horn that had eyes, and a mouth that spake very great things, whose look was more stout than his fellows. 21 I beheld, and the same horn made war with the saints, and prevailed against them; 22 Until the Ancient of days came, and judgment was given to the saints of the most High; and the time came that the saints possessed the kingdom.

[note: I believe since the 2W are killed at the time of the "6th Trumpet / 2nd Woe" events, that they are not present on the earth clear to the END of the Trib; rather, *their* 1260 days STRADDLE the TWO HALVES]

[the interpretation of the vision]

[...] and another shall rise after them; and he shall be diverse from the first, and he shall subdue three kings. 25 And he shall speak great words against the most High, and shall wear out the saints of the most High, and think to change times and laws: and they shall be given into his hand until a time and times and the dividing of time. 26 But the judgment shall sit, and they shall take away his dominion, to consume and to destroy it unto the end. 27 And the kingdom and dominion, and the greatness of the kingdom under the whole heaven, shall be given to the people of the saints of the most High[/U], whose kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, and all dominions shall serve and obey him.

Revelation 13:5-7 -

5 And there was given unto him a mouth speaking great things and blasphemies; and power was given unto him to continue forty and two months. 6 And he opened his mouth in blasphemy against God, to blaspheme his name, and his tabernacle, and them that dwell in heaven.

7 And it was given unto him to make war with the saints, and to overcome them: and power was given him over all kindreds, and tongues, and nations.

[also, re: the 2W]

Rev11:7 - ['these two prophets'] -

7 And when they shall have finished their testimony, the beast that ascendeth out of the bottomless pit shall make war against them, and shall overcome them, and kill them.

It's a mangle to you, because it destroys the false teachings in a Zionist 1,000 year kingdom on this earth at the return if Jesus Christ, that you in bias against presented truth, support and defend in error.
It's a mangle because you are trying to squeeze it into your scheme. The star which fell from heaven is not the great angel who descended from heaven.

The Heresy of (Thomas Ice) Dallas Theological Alumni

His False Teaching (A Falling Away/Apostasia) means a rapture of the Church to heaven

As Strongs clearly shows, (Apostasia) "defection from truth", "apostasy"

Not a rapture of the church to heaven, as Thomas Ice falsely teaches.

2 Thessalonians 2:3KJV
3 Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;

Strong’s Definitions
ἀποστασία apostasía, ap-os-tas-ee'-ah; feminine of the same as G646; defection from truth (properly, the state) ("apostasy"):—falling away, forsake.
100%

Antichrist comes first and with him comes the great tribulation for he will oppose everything god so called and all worship of god. This will mean the great persecution we are warned to expect. He will try to stamp out all religion.

Then he will sit in the temple and declare that he is himself God.

It is at THAT point the Lord returns and slays him by the brightness of His appearing and the breath of His mouth.

So the Lord returns to END Antichrist's career.

Of course everyone is able to make their own choice.

According to this view, the church goes through the first half of the tribulation but is spared the worst of the tribulation in the last three and a half years.

This logic fails, however, in view of the trumpets’ Judgnets objectives. The trumpet that sounds at the rapture is “the trumpet call of God” in 1 Thess. 4:16.

However, the one in Rev. 11 is a harbinger of judgment.

One trumpet is a call of grace to God’s elect; the other is a pronouncement of doom on the wicked.

Further, the seventh trumpet in Revelation is not the “last” trumpet chronologically.

Mathhew 24:31 speaks of a later trumpet that sounds at the commencement of Christ’s kingdom.

1 Thess. 5:9 says that the church has not been appointed “to suffer wrath but to receive salvation.” This would seem to indicate that believers will not experience the tribulation. However, midtribulationism interprets “wrath” as only referring to the second half of the tribulation—specifically, the bowl judgments. Limiting the word in such a way seems unwarranted, however. Surely the terrible judgments contained in the seals and trumpets—including famine, poisoned rivers, a darkened moon, bloodshed, earthquakes, and torment—could also be considered the wrath of God.

Midtribulationism places the rapture in Rev. 11, prior to the start of the great tribulation. There are two problems with this placement in the chronology of Revelation.

#1.
The only occurrence of the term “great tribulation” in the entire book of Revelation is in 7:14, before the opening of the seventh seal.
#2.
The only reference to a “great day of wrath” is in Rev. 6:17 during the events of the sixth seal.

Both of these references come too early for a midtribulational rapture, which is timed according to the seventh trumpet.

Have you read, studied and considered these things??????

And a final weakness of the midtribulational view is shared by the other two theories: namely, the Bible does not give an explicit timeline concerning future events. Scripture does not expressly teach one view over another, and that is why we have diversity of opinion concerning the end times and some variety on how the related prophecies should be harmonized.

So then by what you are saying... A Mid-Tribulation 2nd Coming. That means there is NO 7 year Tribulation and we can just remove all the references saying that from the Bible.

Midtribulationism places the rapture in Rev. 11, prior to the start of the great tribulation. There are two problems with this placement in the chronology of Revelation.

12 Looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat?
13 Nevertheless we, according to his promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness.

6 Who can stand before his indignation? and who can abide in the fierceness of his anger? his fury is poured out like fire, and the rocks are thrown down by him.

Revelation 20:9KJV
9 And they went up on the breadth of the earth, and compassed the camp of the saints about, and the beloved city: and fire came down from God out of heaven, and devoured them.

It's a mangle because you are trying to squeeze it into your scheme. The star which fell from heaven is not the great angel who descended from heaven.
The angel unlocks the bottomless pit at the 5th Trump in rev 9:1-2 and satan is loosed (During The Great Tribulation) as seen in Rev 9:11 same exact event of satan being loosed in Rev 20:7-8 (During The Great Tribulation)

The book of Revelation is seen in "Parallel" teachings of same events, not chronologically as dispensationalism and millennialist teach.

There will be no 1,000 year Millennial Kingdom on this earth, a fairy tale of man

Jesus returns in fire and final judgement, dissolving the heavens and earth by fire, immediately after the tribulation.

Revelation 9:1-2 & Revelation 20:7-8 is the same event in a "Parallel" teaching

Revelation 9:1-2 & 11KJV
1 And the fifth angel sounded, and I saw a star fall from heaven unto the earth: and to him was given the key of the bottomless pit.
2 And he opened the bottomless pit; and there arose a smoke out of the pit, as the smoke of a great furnace; and the sun and the air were darkened by reason of the smoke of the pit.

11 And they had a king over them, which is the angel of the bottomless pit, whose name in the Hebrew tongue is Abaddon, but in the Greek tongue hath his name Apollyon.

Revelation 20:7-8KJV
7 And when the thousand years are expired, Satan shall be loosed out of his prison,
8 And shall go out to deceive the nations which are in the four quarters of the earth, Gog, and Magog, to gather them together to battle: the number of whom is as the sand of the sea.

The real key to the pre-trib rapture would be a VERSE that says Jesus is returning not once but twice!
He only "RETURNS" once (that is, to the earth).

The TWO verses using the word "RETURN" both speak of His Second Coming to the earth (Rev19 point in time):

--repeat of another post in this thread: "[again see Lk12:36-37 [and context] [parallel Matt24-something], "when he will RETURN FROM the wedding"--see?! (not "our Rapture"!)]"
(He "RETURNS" to the earth as an ALREADY-WED Bridegroom; not "TO BE wed" [but FOR the promised and prophesied EARTHLY MK age, aka "the wedding FEAST/SUPPER/FESTIVITIES"--aka "the MEAL [G347]"]); and

--Lk19:12,15,17,19 "RETURN" (when He will deal out responsibilities: "have thou authority over 10 cities" / "likewise, be thou over 5 cities")

[one "key" I mentioned earlier in the thread: grasping what the "Day of the Lord" entails, and how Paul describes its ARRIVAL ('birth PANG [SINGULAR; 1Th5:2-3]"<--SAME thing Jesus spoke on IN His phrase "the beginning of birth PANGS [PLURAL]" at the START of, not at the END of [such-and-such a TIME-PERIOD unfolding upon the earth, leading UP TO His "RETURN" to the earth ;) ])]
