I am aware that the OT was written in Hebrew and the NT in Greek.
OT was written in more than just hebrew
You missed my point, I said, "God didn't expect people to learn Greek or Hebrew." Since God is a just God He would have caused men to record exactly what He meant to convey from Hebrew or Greek into English or any other bible translation for that matter. Where we spend eternity depends on it.
that’s a good point but it does not prove a point
God knew the Bible would be translated in English and other languages, that’s why he made sure we have at least copies of the Greek hebrew text so we can study to shew ourselves approved,
remember, only the origional text was inspired, the English text is just a translation. If the Greek and English do not jive, we must look to the Greek for answers,
Since I am a English speaking person I take the entire Bible for what it states in English. I believe Acts 2:38-39 to be God's word and it says what it says. Sins are washed away when a person is water baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus. The account of Paul's water baptism speaks to this truth as well. (Acts 22:14-16)
yet the Greek, does not say this
so it does not matter what the English says, you basing your whole eternity on a translation. Again, good luck with that,
you know. when you see Jesus, he is not going to say, well yeah the English Bible did say that so I will have to let you in, he will tell you he told you to study to,show yourself approved and he gave you all these resources to co firm what the translators said is what the origional writers said, hence you have no excuse, non of us do,
