How dare you call them out to begin with right?? Lol

Especially if they make an accusation, then you ask them to prove it.. with evidence of someone saying what they are accusing them of.

As someone in the law thread continued to refuse to do. Then got mad and just started to attack until I had to report him.. Its crazy, how people will say they need to be righteous, yet do not practice what they preach.

Wise as a serpent and harmless as a dove ;) HAHA good idea.......

One time in a machine shop I was working in managing about 10 wild youth that had never heard the truth once in their lives.....some ants had been attacking a few pieces of dog food and were decimating it and removing it for winter and as I stood there watching these ants one young kid came up and I pointed out the ants and said...You know....this is in the bible.....and he inquired and I took out a small N.T. that actually had the Psalms and Proverbs in it as well.....I showed him the sets of verses in Proverbs about 4 small things being exceedingly wise and the ants preparing their meat in due season.....this allowed me to in turn go to John chapter three and witness to this young man....
That was excellent. I have the gift of encouragement and to increase people’s faith but not the gift of initially introducing people to the Lord. Your story is motivating.

So many people are immediate to indicate how Israel was blinded by the veil of Moses when they heard the Law.

Those same types today are still blinded by that same veil caliming to understand yet neverhaving learned what the law teaches, and how Jesus, Yeshua has clarified everything about which laws are to be yet obeyed while having completed the lion's portion of them.

No man will ev er earn salvation, not by obeying thelaw for that is his due, and not by any works he can imagine. Salvation is a gift that comes witht he gift of faith.

That gift of faith should not beburied in the earth simply to become dirty. Our faith must increase as we follow and imitat our Savior.

The great shamehere is how many equate doing the worksgiven us by God with atttempting to earn our Salvation. These are the truly blindones.

God bless all inJesus, Yeshua, amen.
God Bless you too...❤🙏 I like the thought of our faith increasing.

Ok im outta here.

There seems to be a major misconception on this site by some when it comes to salvation in the O.T. I have heard numerous people say one could not be saved in the O.T. or Jesus is not found in the O.T. or some flippant false statement that faith plus works were required in the O.T. for one to be saved. This false....as we look to the following truths, be open to learning and instruction and simply accept these biblical truths.

a. JESUS said, "IN the volume of the book it is written of ME"
b. JESUS said, "Search the scriptures, for they are they that testify of ME" <-N.T. not written yet
c. Abraham told the rich man that his brothers had the LAW and the Prophets to KEEP them from coming to the place of torment

NOTE the AWESOME pictures of truth

1. God shedding the blood of animals and COVERING Adam and Eve's shame
2. The promise of a redeemer in Genesis 3:15
3. Abel in faith offering a lamb without blemish and spot by shedding blood
4. Noah in the ark <--sealed within and without with pitch
5. Noah sacrificing a CLEAN animal and offering the blood after being spared
6. Abraham offering Isaac
7. The institution of the Passover and shed blood and God passing over
8. The Brazen Serpent <--JESUS even references this one
9. The sacrifices and offerings under the law and what they point to
10. Rahab and the scarlet thread by faith and being preserved in the destruction of Jericho (She is in the lineage of JESUS)
11. Job KNEW his redeemer lives and would see him with his own eyes after he had rotted in the ground (he understood the resurrection)
12. David speaking of HIS salvation in the present tense in the Psalms
13. Ruth and the KINSMEN redeemer (she was a GENTILE)
14. The scape goat in the wilderness and OUR SINS being removed and forgotten
15. The ark of the covenant and the ANGELS not being able to see the LAW inside which condemns when the BLOOD was applied
16. MOSES (the LAW) not delivering the people but taking them RIGHT to the promise land and it taking a SAVIOR (Joshua) to deliver
17. The 53rd chapter of Isaiah pointing to the suffering messiah and us being HEALED by his stripes
18. The Priesthood of Melchizedek as referenced in Hebrews
19. Jonah three days and three nights in the whale's belly <--Referenced by JESUS
20. Zechariah and the PIERCED one
21. Habakkuk the JUST shall shall live by his faith
22. Moses striking the rock which represented Christ and LIVING WATER <---JESUS references this and this water springing up in us and it representing eternal life and never thirsting again
23. The name Emmanuel and GOD with US and the concept of this truth

THESE are off the top of my head......NO ONE will ever convince me that an O.T. saint could not see or understand the truth of redemption by blood through faith from the O.T......the WHOLE bible points to CHRIST and being justified BY FAITH is woven throughout the whole BIBLE...there is a plethora of other truths and like I said these are just off the top of my head.......
Well said.

JESUS is found from the front to the back in the bible....and the same faith that saves in the N.T. is the same faith that saved in the O.T.
Yes ... Eph 4:5 ... one faith ... (not OT faith / NT faith) ... one faith covering the whole span of time.

I love these verses in 2 Cor 3 ... 14 But their minds were blinded: for until this day remaineth the same vail untaken away in the reading of the old testament; which vail is done away in Christ. 15 But even unto this day, when Moses is read, the vail is upon their heart. 16 Nevertheless when it shall turn to the Lord, the vail shall be taken away.

If we want to understand the OT, read it with our hearts turned to the Lord Jesus Christ. The whole Bible is all about HIM!!! He is the author (beginning) and finisher (end) of faith (Heb 12:2).

FALSE and FALSE and FALSE..........
There is nothing false in what was stated in response to that poster. Of course all the OT types present Christ, particularly the Brazen Serpent as mentioned by Christ in John 3. But your main point was that the OT saints were justified by grace through faith, which is also true for the NT saints.

Here's what you said: "the WHOLE bible points to CHRIST and being justified BY FAITH is woven throughout the whole BIBLE."

And that is exactly what I said.
" Therefore the basis of salvation is absolute faith in Christ alone and His finished work of redemption + NOTHING. Just as the Israelites were to simply look upon the Brazen Serpent in the wilderness and live, all sinners are to simply believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and be saved. Which also means receiving Him as Lord and Savior."

So is this true or false? If true then you need to retract what you said above.

Some believe that in the ot, there was such a place called Abraham bosom or paradise, which all the people who believed God during the ot were placed there.

They were placed there but not considered saved, until Jesus during the 3 days went there and preach to them all. It was only then that all of them went to heaven.

I need not retract anything....do you know why I said what I said.....because of the following statement which is not only false, but a broad brush stroke that ignores scripture...YOU stated the following bolded

7. Good works and righteousness must follow salvation. If they are absent, there was no genuine salvation. Just as if there is no repentance, there is no genuine salvation.

The above underlined absolutely contradicts the following truth

But to the one who does not work, but believes in Him who justifies the ungodly, his faith is credited as righteousness

This is why I SAID FALSE x three......and this thread IS NOT ABOUT WORKS, but RATHER the FACT that faith, grace, salvation and CHRIST can be seen in the O.T.

Yes! Yes! Yes!
Saved by faith in the savior to come.
We believe that God has sent the Savior, they believed that God would send the Savior. All saved by faith.

Some people, as if God were bound by time and space. The God who created the Universe, and the laws that govern it. Who knows the end from the beginning.

You know......it utterly sickens me........those that state salvation was not in the OT....when DAVID clearly speaks of it in the present tense....
