The law that was a tutor was the sacrificial laws, not the Ten Commandments, that Jesus told us not to break or teach others to break the least of these commandments as one would be in fear of sin as it affects our status in heaven- i.e. Judgment. Mat 5:19-30

There will never be a time man doesn’t need God’s blessing and sanctification. Its when we think we no longer need it that we can sanctify ourselves, it becomes danger Isa 66:17
Nope. The law is what was given at Sinai: the covenant between God and everyone who was present that day NOT even to the fathers, the patriarchs, includes the 10 commandments.

The law that defines sin

Rom 7:7 What shall we say then? Is the law sin? Certainly not! On the contrary, I would not have known sin except through the law. For I would not have known covetousness unless the law had said, “You shall not covet.”

This is in the same law that God wrote with His own finger that came in a unit of Ten numbered by design Exo 34:28 Deut 4;13 that says Remember the Sabbath day to keep it holy. Exo 20:8-11 all found in Exodus 20

Cannot be the same law that was added for breaking the law that is sin.

Sad this is even argument. God wrote and spoke one law in the whole bible that Jesus followed and kept all of them. We have really gone so far away from God, its so sad. Just shows the times we are in our Good Lord is coming soon!

Eh, initially it most certainly was not my wish to become Christian through what Jesus Christ did for me, in giving His life as the good shepherd for the sins of the world. For through the law I died to the law so that I might live to God. I have been crucified with Christ, and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself up for me. I do not set aside the grace of God. For if righteousness comes through the law, Christ died for nothing. Yes, I was granted repentance, long before I surrendered my will and my life to Him, for I agreed with God's assessment of who I was before Him. Any ways, nobody can keep the requirements given for keeping the Sabbath commands. They are lying if they say they can and do.

Galatians 2:16 A man is not justified by works of the law, but by faith in Jesus Christ. So we, too, have believed in Christ Jesus, that we may be justified by faith in Christ and not by works of the law, because by works of the law no one will be justified.

Galatians 2:20-21

It isn't impossible to keep the Sabbath. As countless generations have demonstrated in their keeping of it. As did the Apostles after Jesus.

Genesis 2. The Sabbath pre-existed Moses. Which is why God said in those 10 Commandments that prescribed love for God and for one another, remember the Sabbath day and keep it holy.
"Be ye holy as I am holy."

It's a relationship. Every single day we are not alone, not apart from God's spirit that indwells us. And Sabbath is when we can shut out the worldlyvdistractions, work,TV, cell phones,etc... and make time for just the two of us.

Who could possibly condemn that and claim it cannot be done. Must not be done.

By God’s grace, He includes us in His Beloved. In Christ we become His sons. This restores us to His original intent. This is the Sabbath rest that Christ provided to all who believe.
Conversely, the law made the Jews slaves. Today, they still do not know God as their Father.

Have to bounce.

Don’t pay attention to the condemnation of the Sabbath-keepers. They are as contentious as the Jews were to Jesus. Take comfort knowing that, because of them, the gospel could be preached in this thread here on this forum. The enemy meant to ensnare those who have found liberty in Christ, but God made a way for the truth to be written again, here and in the hearts of those who trust in the Lord!

For there must also be factions among you, that those who are approved may be recognized among you.”

When someone can produce one verse where God said we no longer need to keep the Sabbath commandment. He blessed, only He can reverse. I have read the Bible cover to cover and yet to find this verse.
We don't need a verse that says the sabbath is no longer in effect. We have plenty of verses establishing that the sabbath was a shadow pointing to the rest we have in the work of Christ. Is the sabbath greater than Christ? No. Like everything else, it pointed to Christ to be truly understood. Like the Pharisees, you look to the scripture because you think in them is life, yet they speak of Him. You may find physical rest on Saturday, but you can only find rest unto your soul in Christ. Life isn't in a day, but in a person.

Jesus is Lord of the Sabbath Mark 2:28, He never because the creation, i.e. commandment or day.
You're being Trolled by Dino. They ask for scripture over and over again in response to anyone who supports the keeping of the Sabbath yet can never supply a verse that tells us God retracted his gift to mankind.

Note, man, mankind, humans. Not "just the Jews". Because the Sabbath rest of God preexisted "Jews".

There are those who make their own doctrine of faith in Christ.

You'll never change their minds.

Also, not everyone who claims to be in Christ, with Christ indwelling them, and join forums like this are actually telling you the truth about that.

You know them by their fruits, posts.

God Bless.

If I say, remember me, it does not mean you knew me before. We can shut the world out
and find rest in Jesus every single day. I recommend it. Sabbath day observance required
a Temple and that no longer exists. I don't really get why you pretend otherwise.
What animal are you sacrificing? And why? Jesus is our Passover Lamb.
None other is required or to be desired.

If God gave you one day where you could step away from the worldly distractions and spend time with Jesus alone, would you?

This is a question that requires a yes or no answer.
I do it every single day. Don't tell me you have a weekly day where you do nothing but think of and commune with Jesus.

Yes,you do.

Salvation and its eternal life are a free irrevocable gift of God.

Sabbath is a free gift if God for man. The Sabbath was made by God for man.

Implying that Gift was cancelled needs proof from God himself word for word.

Just as his gift of the Sabbath was given, made for man,by God. As we are told word for word.

Yes, I agree. I always try to think about the people who read silently, not the person I am responding to. Most are the same people with the same argument, who almost never use scripture and think their words equal God’s Word. Sad world we live in, but just shows how close we are to the end.

Thanks for your thoughts and God bless!

I am the temple of the living God.
My Jesus was the last unblemished lamb sacrificed for my sins.

You do it every single day but scoff at those who also rest on one day and leave the world where Satan is lord ?

You might want to read about contemporary Sabbath practices. I think you oppose Sabbath because you know nothing about that.

Fascinating. I edited the GBoard late correction "if" to its correct spelling, of, in time before the system cut off the edit time limit. Hit save. And it still reads as, if. But I fixed it in the quote above.

I agree with others. GBoard and other autocorrect, even when in error , needs more edit time than what is currently allowed here.

Reading as we type is one thing. But GBoard is sometimes lax in keeping up and auto corrects after we move on.

You misunderstand. My derision is aimed at the idea that people can keep the Sabbath. It cannot be done according to the requirements for such. For starters, the temple no longer exists. Jesus prophesied the end of temple worship with the cursing of the fig tree. It was no longer fruitful... if it ever really was. Sins were never removed... or do you deny Scripture that says it is impossible for the blood of bulls and goats to take away sin? The law was a tutor, now the Master has come. What animal do you sacrifice? Please answer.

From Hebrews 10:1, 4, and 1 Corinthians 5:7 The law is only a shadow of the good things to come, not the realities themselves... because it is impossible for the blood of bulls and goats to take away sins. Christ our Passover Lamb has been sacrificed for us. Thank you, Jesus!

I have no patience for stupid, baseless accusations. If you want to participate in a mutually respectful conversation, I'm game. Otherwise, I'll treat your insulting comments with the denigration they deserve.
No scripture then.
Of course not. Because they don't exist.

You have no respect. As you just proved.
You insult Christians only if we allow you that power.

Only God knows why you are so dark and angry in every community of Christ you join.

Christians live in the light.

I'll religate your darkness to the realm it belongs to and set you to ignore.

Considering what the Sabbath is about Isa 58:13 Exo 20:8-11 Lev 23:3 etc, it would be impossible to keep the Sabbath every day. God knows we have to do works and labors to survive. Housework’s, garden works, shopping, paying bills, going to work, working out and a million other things that take our mind off Christ, that does not mean we should not worship God 365/24/7 but God only asked us to keep one day set aside for holy use to put our minds totally on Christ for one full day and that is the seventh day Sabbath Exo 20:8-11 We should pray and study our bibles every day, but He also commanded us to work 6 days Exo 20:9

I never said it was canceled. I said it, like all things prefigured in the Bible, find their ultimate expression in Christ. God established the sabbath rest to point us to the rest offered in Christ.
Christ doesn't need a sabbath to be Christ. The sabbath does need Christ to be the sabbath.
