Since I have seen her request to stop "liking" her posts, I have done so.

Also, this obviously went ignored: http://christianchat.com/bible-disc...t-those-who-speak-tongues-15.html#post2247556

I understand what you said back on post #300 but it still makes no since to me, as I have a few people on here that I love to engage in discussions with on here that we don't disagree but the debate stays friendly and respectful.

I don't go around liking all of their posts though because I don't agree with what is said, and that is what liking a post is about in agreeing with what they say.

I did the same back a while back and I got criticized for doing so, as I liked a persons post for giving their testimony even though I did not agree with the doctrine they follow. It was for their testimony and not the doctrine they supported in their post I liked it for, yet others would not let it go.

I have the same request...kindly stop liking my posts...you have liked literally a few dozen..today alone...

so please stop...I don't care to see it

like most folks here, I like a post when I agree and dispense rep points for the same reason
Sure, I'll stop liking your posts if that is your wish. My intention was never to harass.

I can only shake my head at your lack of understanding -- but what deeply hurts me, is your unwillingness to ATTEMPT to understand.

For example, I do not immediately see a post simply because you have replied to me. It just so happens that I was reading/responding to another post and the screen must be refreshed before I am able to see your post.

This is basic website/webpage knowledge and your ignorance is contributing to a huge communication barrier.

It's all about perception. Instead of jumping to conclusions and assuming -- people should ask for clarification, if they have questions/issues.

From my perspective, the like button is the only simple non-intrusive way to let a user know that his/her post has been read by me. The Rep button is specifically for Agreeing.

It's fine to "like" for different reasons -- but we must all realize that not everyone perceives a "like" in the same manner.

We are so glad that YOU are not GOD's spokesperson! How dare you declare that HIs awesome spiritual gifts are NOT in effect today..what a dull, boring, spiritual life you have. Yes, I believe that you are claiming to be GOD's own...but you are not spiritually mature enough to decide that GOD can't use and distribute and grant HIS gifts out to His Children just because you do not use them. You need to share with us what denomination/church you attend so the rest of us can RUN from it.

I know how you feel but we are called to eliminate strife so if it causes others distress then the only thing to do is back off a little and let them have their space.

It is no secret that I do not agree with all that the doctrines of OSAS, eternal security, and sinless perfection teaches because there are scriptures in the bible to refute each one of them. Somewhere there needs to be common ground understanding between these and that is where I come in to level the field, as I call out all three of them when one speaks of something that does not align with scripture.

I have liked posts made by others in each one of those doctrines to because at times they do say good things or say something that agrees with scriptures.

Also if I want clarification on what one says I will pose it as a question to them, but we are on a web site and assuming, conclusions, and ignoring of answering questions is very common here.

I haven't been following the different threads where all of this infighting has been going on, but I will say this:

Although I personally believe that the gifts of the Spirit are in operation today (I also believe that there are counterfeits of those gifts in operation today as well), the fruit of the Spirit trumps the gifts of the Spirit every time. Look at the Corinthians. They came behind in no gift, yet they were steeped in all sorts of sin. Let's not be like them, okay?

Sometimes you just gotta say God Bless and move on.
I think she hit the nail on the head!

Remember peacefulwarrior, that God knows your heart. I think it best to do what honeydew said, and I think it is time to say God bless and move on :) If you are worried that you were misunderstood, God knows you and what your true intentions are, so please don't be hurt too much by this. :)

Lots of love to EVERYONE here :)

Don't get worked up over a liked post. Just ignore it. Why would you allow anyone liking your posts annoy you? I'm sorry but it is silly. Just ignore it. A like can't hurt you. I am not trying to offend so please don't take it that way.
No it isn't "normal" post-liking, he is digging up old posts and liking everything, something like 35 in the last couple of hours, going back ages. It is wierd, considering he is plainly DISliking my posts...almost creepy. All because I commented once or twice that he seemed to be agreeing with everyone...which was also creepy come to think of it...

He explained that he likes posts to let people know that he read it. Unnecessary but its what he does. Its also not the proper and understood, way of using the like function... but hey, whatever. lol

Few days, not ages.

I started at my first interaction with Convallaria and Ember -- where Ember ignored my inquiry and then lashed out at me.

My conscience is clear.

Goodbye Convallaria and Ember -- God bless.

Says who? / Are you referring to specific guidelines here on CC, or forums in general?

Also to consider: Why is there no "dislike" button?
