I loved and agreed with everything said in the OP. Praise God

the one things missing is the baptism of the spirit. It is not the same as the anointing of the spirit. Which the OP is talking about. It is the one thing God does which makes us clean.

We are cleaned by the washing (baptism) of the Holy Spirit (see titus 3: 5) or the spiritual circumcision made without hands through the baptism of the spirt (col 2)

It is not some special thing given after where God asks us to do something, It is something he does. Which saves us.

John the Baptist, when he was baptising in the Jordan, Said there was one mightier than himself whose sandle straps he was not worthy to even unloose. He will baptise with the Holy Spirit, and fire.

He then went on to explain what he meant,

Matthew 3:12
His winnowing fan is in His hand, and He will thoroughly clean out His threshing floor, and gather His wheat into the barn; but He will burn up the chaff with unquenchable fire.”

The baptism of the spirit is the means by high he seperates the wheat and chaff, and brings the wheat into the barn (gods family)

The baptism of fire is when God takes the chaff (the unsaved) and casts or baptised them into the fire which shall never be quenched. There is only one mention of this in scripture. It is a placed called Gehenna, or hell.

Chose the way you wish to be baptized. But chose wisely, Became everyone will be baptized by jesus, With the HS, or with Fire.

No one wants the second one.. or they better not. Both are eternal

Faith is a fruit of the Holy Spirit you must have before you can believe.
“But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,” Galatians 5:22 (KJV 1900)
Galatians 5:22-23 New International Version (NIV)
22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law.

Faithfulness...
The Holy Spirit is Faithful...

What you are teaching is simply a mental assent and not heart belief.

For the cause of Christ
Roger
The heart is a blood pump it doesn't know anything except to pump blood.
When the Bible speaks of believe in your heart, that means the core of your being which is your mind.

well that is Calvinism at its root...it's very core is wrong to begin with

declaring God puts His Spirit into the unsaved so that they can become saved, is absolute deception...as you know
If things are turned upside down it can seem that way .

God who is not served by corrupted human hands in the Old testament sets a parable in place using a ceremonial law as a shadow .

Clean animals to represent the redeemed and unclean to represent the unbeliever. Using a unclean animal to represent unconverted mankind God brought prophecy, through unclean lips. It was like he said to Moses. Who made the mouth of man?

The faithless Jews were used to represent faithless mankind and our Faithful Creator Christ. . Just as dietary festivals using other beasts of the field other than mankind alone.

Exodus 13:13 And every firstling of an ass thou shalt redeem with a lamb; and if thou wilt not redeem it, then thou shalt break his neck: and all the firstborn of man among thy children shalt thou redeem.

An interesting parable in Numbers22. It helps to establish the proper meaning to the word "prophet" (one who declares the will of God) using a unclean animal as a apostle" (sent one) sending the messages, the living word, providing the power to put a end to the madness of that false prophet Balaam.
.
Again God is not served by human hand.he has no needs but satisfies all.

Numbers 22:28 And the Lord opened the mouth of the ass, and she said unto Balaam, What have I done unto thee, that thou hast smitten me these three times?

Because mankind can plant the spiritual seed the gospel and water it with the doctrines that fall like rain . We are given the understanding that Christ alone can cause growth if any. In that way it is His words that make our lips clean .

Isaiah 6:5 Then said I, Woe is me! for I am undone; because I am a man of unclean lips, and I dwell in the midst of a people of unclean lips: for mine eyes have seen the King, the Lord of hosts.

or another example.

Jerimaiah 1:9 Then the Lord put forth his hand, and touched my mouth. And the Lord said unto me, Behold, I have put my words in thy mouth

The goal of our new born again faith is the new promised incorruptible bodies . We can serve each in a hope it is pleasing to him. Like with Lazarus risen from the dead to symbolize the work of the unseen spirit of salvation. But Jesus informed them to undo the binding a work of Love His working in us.

But ultimately it is Him alone the one unseen source of our new spirit life .Like the Son of man said; One is good God referring to the other half of the demonstration. The unseen father pouring out His unseen Spirit life on the Son of man, Jesus. This was in order to do what the letter of the law death could not do . . "produce life". "The Law of Faith" making the law perfect or complete. Not in part but the whole.

Yeshua/Jesus was examined by the Law (Moses) and the Prophets (Elijah) just as He was examined by the Jewish High Priest and Leaders and Pontus Pilate........all found Him innocent, no sin, full of the Righteousness of God. They could only condemn Him with false accusations, and because they feared the people.

Yeshua/Jesus was examined and is still being examined by theologians today. To believe or not to believe....... welcome to the "fork in the road."
It was like the fork in the parables in Luke 16 . natural man insisting he can commune with the dead through necromancy called patron saints in Catholicism(3500 and rising) Even the the Spirit of truth reveals there is one manner by which we can seek after the unseen .Our Father in heaven .They refused to abide in the word and called men fathers on earth regardless of the warning.

To the law and the prophets the two witness of God... Or two haves that make a whole. Moses to represent the letter of the law "death" while Elijah the coming power of the holy Spirit working in the Son of man Jesus.. the power of the gospel . Together making one perfect law spoken of in Psalms 19 revealing the living work that does work in the believers to both will and do His good pleasure. .

The law of the Lord is perfect, converting the soul: the testimony of the Lord is sure, making wise the simple. The statutes of the Lord are right, rejoicing the heart: the commandment of the Lord is pure, enlightening the eyes.
The fear of the Lord is clean, enduring for ever: the judgments of the Lord are true and righteous altogether. More to be desired are they than gold, yea, than much fine gold: sweeter also than honey and the honeycomb. Moreover by them is thy servant warned: and in keeping of them there is great reward. Psalms 19 7-11

I would think God uses valleys as a humble place a door of hope (Hosea 2:15) a place calls us to repent turning us first so we can find him and turn to repent (to comfort) and humble ourselves. . Like the valley Achor. When used by what you did say lifting the gospel the valley of decision. Great way of saying that below.

So, what is the “valley of decision”? It’s the fork in the road, the place where you can’t go on without making a choice. Which way to go…….which path to choose… Life or Death.

Joshua 7:26 And they raised over him a great heap of stones unto this day. So the Lord turned from the fierceness of his anger. Wherefore the name of that place was called, The valley of Achor, unto this day.

Joshua 15:7And the border went up toward Debir from the valley of Achor, and so northward, looking toward Gilgal, that is before the going up to Adummim, which is on the south side of the river: and the border passed toward the waters of Enshemesh, and the goings out thereof were at Enrogel:

Isaiah 65:10 And Sharon shall be a fold of flocks, and the valley of Achor a place for the herds to lie down in, for my people that have sought me.

Hosea 2:15 And I will give her her vineyards from thence, and the valley of Achor for a door of hope: and she shall sing there, as in the days of her youth, and as in the day when she came up out of the land of Egypt.

Valleys are used that way a place of humble rest having all needs satisfied by ones savoir. . Mountains represent the high places as the kingdom of this world.
The Valley of Achor sounds like a beautiful valley. I enjoyed reading about it on your post!

The Valley of Decision is definitely NOT the same valley.

Sorry, I would think if it became the door of hope represented by green grass where she His bride could lie down and rest it could of been the wake up call .A call to humility and rest between mountain top experiences

If you believe that God saved you against your will then you are not saved.

For the cause of Christ
Roger
If you chose to save yourself, you didn't need salvation. Christ saved those who are lost.

Dave, I agree with you that Salvation is the Lords, that...

And because of him you are in Christ Jesus, who became to us wisdom from God, righteousness and sanctification and redemption,
1 Corinthians 1:30 ESV

He gets 100% of the glory. He does stir the spirit, He does draw us and call us, but I just believe He ultimately gives us choice.

Where we seem to agree, that which is MOST important component of this discussion, Dave, is salvation is the Lords.

God Bless you.
Choice = you are the savior and split God's glory in salvation with him.

The comparison here is not natural man with the spiritual man ... the contrast is human wisdom and divine revelation.

This is what Paul is stating....those who rely on human wisdom instead of the spiritual truths brought by the inspired apostles will see the cross as foolish and perish as a result.

God does not decree that all men will see His words as foolish!!
The passage says people cannot discern spiritual truth. “Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.” John 3:3 (KJV 1900)

No. Valley of Decision is NOT a resting place.
