Then I stand corrected Pastac for cross linking two different words into a category the general population often percevie as being one definition.
Lacey,
It's not about a religion, or what its called.
Christianity is merely called Christian because it is based upon the teachings and following of Christ.
What's important is knowing Christ, like you would get to know a person.
You spend time with him, you read the things he said which shows his morals, beliefs, character as well as His authority over heaven and earth and all creation.
The power and majesty he holds with the angels of heaven at his dispatch to wage war in order to quench his wrath against the enemy.
Yet at the same time the mercy and gentleness to be meek toward us.
Meek meaning power under control
Absolute power corrupts, but not him, because he is just and controls his power to what is right.
Yet he defines what is right and wrong
Thats a good reason to serve him
Because what he is capable of is justifiably sending us all to hell.
But he controllably issues grace and mercy as he see's fit, he offered to all those who call upon his name.
But there's something he asks of us in return.
To Love him...Love is doing, showing.
We know what is right and wrong because God has inherently written the law of right and wrong in our hearts.
[SUP]14 [/SUP]Indeed, when Gentiles, who do not have the law, do by nature things required by the law, they are a law for themselves, even though they do not have the law. [SUP]
15 [/SUP]They show that the requirements of the law are written on their hearts, their consciences also bearing witness, and their thoughts sometimes accusing them and at other times even defending them.
And I think you know that getting closer to Christ is right.
To dedicate yourself to him
Knowing his ways also allows them to become your ways.
and that's what following is.
