Two wrongs don't make a right. But since the beginning of time man has taken land from someone else. It is true that Native Americans took land from other Natives. That was as wrong as what was done by the "whites" to the Natives. All this land belongs to God,inside the church no grudges should be held,no racial disharmony. Not trying to slap your fingers. Just saying we all are one in Christ.[/QUOTE

I agree that we should be, but not that we are.

Perhaps I should be crying crocodile tears but I'm not. What's your take on Black Americans?

Oh i wouldnt expect tears from anyone. Lot of hardened hearts out there. I would have more luck with an aliigator on that
Also, if you can't spout anything better than the Eurocentric nonsense that most racist people spout-then maybe you should just keep it to yourself.
Ignorance always shows its ugly head. God bless
Earlier in my life I spent 2 1/2 years in ministry work among the American Indians. They are often fiercely independent and want little to do with the "white man's religion". When you look at their history of abuse by the white man, it is not hard to understand why.

Sadly, alcohol, abuse, and suicide are huge problems they are dealing with . . . But I have made some lifelong friends among the native peoples . . .
100% correct. There not much more to explain to you. Here is just one talk on many things done to the native americans, from the past to present. God bless.....

It usually doesn't go too well for the conquered people.

I'm sure the conquered people wish they weren't conquered and pass down that regret from generation to generation.

Its probably better to die in battle than live with the shame of slavery and every other indignation put on the conquered people. But 3rd, 4th, 5th generation people who weren't in the battle should not feel this indignation or shame. ESPECIALLY if they enjoy the same rights and freedoms as all the rest of the unconquered people.

In the case of the American Indian, not only do they enjoy the same freedom as everyone else, they enjoy lots of special rights that regular Americans DO NOT RECEIVE.

Are we actually supposed to be feeling guilty for the mercy given by the Forefathers of America to the people who were conquered?

It sure would be nice to be given land and a check from the government every month just because I was born a certain ethnicity. Maybe if I could show that my great-great-great-great grandparents were mistreated by the American Government I could get a piece of the pie as well.

Is that insensitive of me or is it everyone else that is insensitive towards me? Its hard for me to keep it straight in my head. We have so many protected ethnicities that I can't keep track of them anymore.

I just treat everyone the same. With mild annoyance... lol

I do apologize to have annoyed you with this topic and anyone else. People generaly dont like talking or hearing about this topic. When i was younger i used to think that it was just cowboys ans indians and had long past. Then one day i saw a book in the library and began reading the hislory of all the things that were done to their lives yesterday and today and saw things much differently. I really dont expect anyone to care about this topic to the point of researching and understanding. I found that out a long time ago.
But i thank.you for your reply. God bless yoi.

Yes, they are separate and different issues. The saddest thing is that-rather than acknowledging a wrong and making some attempt at reparations-as has been done by the u. s. government for African americans-the political mindset is to tell native leaders ridiculous nonsense like 'go back where you came from.' And to clarify, reparations would be as simple as saying 'we acknowledge our ancestors were wrong, and we apologize for the illegal, immoral, and unethical way they stole your land.' Clearly, they believed we owned the land, or they wouldn't have went to such great lengths to cheat us out of it.
You seem.to be the only one to have a deep understanding on thos topic. At least this is my opinion taken from your few sentences. Well said.
God bless....

At 71 I witnessed the blatent racial hatred exposed with lynching negroes for being suspected of looking at a while girl with lust. Thank God that doesn't happen any more. There is still segments of the population that are racist. It is mostly kept secret but it still exists. I adopted 2 multiracial children, part Caucasian, Negro, and American Indian. What too many only see is the Negro heritage. Discrimination today is covert.

This should be in the conspiracy forum, because it certainly isn't Bible related, and it's about as factual as the other blather in there.

Well God bless your soul. That is so good to hear! I am also sorry to know that you had to witness something like that. There is more prejudice still around than i care to look at. That is a horrible thing to have inside. It has caused so much pain and death that it cannot even begin to be measured. At least it is not openly praticed like it was because of the laws in place but man oh man, take those laws away and see what happens. Good to speak to you and i commend you for having adopted such as you have. God bless you....

The bible happens to be all about human souls and their dealings. And what God tells us to be like to each other. So is this topic addressing it from a human standpoint.

Chester, I don't know if it's sadder, but I know the slaves have more descendants-thus more political power. Natives were also enslaved, I believe not as much because they either resisted to the death, or died from illnesses in slavery.
Both blacks and indians were enslaved by their own people before any whites were involved.

The word "slave" is from the Slavs that were some ancient exploited people.
I guess i should be expecting some reparations, even though it would be hard to sort out.

But hey, modern man getting on the victim bandwagon is where the wealth is.

Nah,that victim gig produces slaves to what they step into. Perpetual victimization.

Black Americans - Another sad story - probably even more sad than the story of the Native Americans . . .
Based on my own personal observation over the years I would have to say that the most discriminated people in this country are White Male Republican Americans, otherwise known by the Democrats as deplorables.

give a man a gun he can rob a bank, give a man a bank he can rob the world.
banks steal homes and property every day. they have the power to manipulate interest rates and trade markets. they spend billions on mass advertising, neuroscientist design much of the advertising, they can actually make triple the money working for an ad company than a college researching brain cancer or Alzheimer's. many of these predatory loans start out at 500/600 a month and in 5 years can go up to 1500/2500. most the homeowners have no idea how the interest works because it was never properly explained to them. 75 years back they had interest rates like this, they were called loan sharks and were ran by organized crime. in the end the home owner looses everything and the bank gets all the money they payed, plus the house and they package the loan together with many others as CDOs and sell them to other banks, they sell these CDOs back and forth until they eventually get bailed out by the government.
they do similar schemes on farmers to steal their farmland.

"I believe that banking institutions are more dangerous to our liberties than standing armies," Jefferson wrote. " If the American people ever allow private banks to control the issue of their currency, first by inflation, then by deflation, the banks and corporations that will grow up around(these banks) will deprive the people of all property until their children wake up homeless on the continent their fathers conquered."

Well then let us discuss it from a biblical or spiritual stand point.

Every person is to be in subjection to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except from God, and those which exist are established by God.
Romans 13:1 NASB

Since when has God not displaced people who refuse to believe with those he uses?
Shortly after Jesus ascended the Romans over run Israel and utterly destroyed it including the temple. But then Rome becomes the hub of Christianity from where Christianity is spread through out the world.

Romans 13:1 NASB
Hosea 8:4
They made kings, but not through me. They set up princes, but I knew it not. With their silver and gold they made idols for their own destruction.
all authority comes from the Most High, the positions that use that power do not always come from the Most High. its far more likely the majority positions are given and appointed by Satan, he is the god of this world and the world is a pretty cruel place. rulers have always loved that Romans passage, it was always their go to passage to justify oppressing the masses. nobles probably used it when they raped the wives of their surfs.

not once in the bible did the Most High command anyone to displace or oppress people because they were not Jewish or Christian. the idea of conquest in the name of Jesus did not begin until rome took over Christianity. conquest and opression was nothing new to rome, matter of fact after the empire became "Christian" there was little difference other than they called themselves Christian.

We could take this so deep....

Would we feel comfortable supporting abortion

Would we fell comfortable supporting gay rights

Would we feel comfortable supporting lazy people that won't work

Would we feel comfortable supporting sex changes for inmates in prison

We do support the above by our taxes.....render unto Caesar.............

Except for the entire book of Joshua, where God commanded the Jews to take the land he gave them, land possessed by other people's.
And if you fail to read the Bible then of course you don't know that the Roman conquest of Jerusalem was prophesied to them and even the destruction of the temple.

Anybody who signs up for a variable rate mortgage is a fool. The selling point is that the interest rate can go down and they will save money. Ignored is the interest rate can and does go up. There usually is a period like 5 years where there is a guarantee it will not increase. Too many people will qualify for the loan based on the initial interest and end up in foreclosure after that initial period. That happened to a friend. They planned on selling before the increase started but waited too long.
