Yeah, I have several friends who are voting for Hilary.

I can absolutely guarantee that we are not at each others throats : p I think this election will end just like every other election, those who's candidate won will celebrate, and those who's lost will be bummed out but carry on with their life : p
That's exactly what's going to happen. Life will go on regardless of who wins.

if it was 1945 Hillary would be executed by firing squad for those boring emails. And you don't really believe this crap you post do you?l
He does, actually. Some of this stuff is true, though. Abortion is wrong. Climate change is a hoax. Hillary should be behind bars. I'm not in favor of Trump's past actions, but then again even I said stupid stuff just last week. But because Trump was secretly recorded and got leaked out, it's a bigger deal.

Actually both Kirk and Picard were confronted by JAGs during their commands. So there's at least two.

And really? The green space chick Kirk hit on was the hottest space honey of all! (Sorry ladies, it's just locker room talk).

BSG (Battle Star Galactica) never had the following Star Trek did. Too, BSG was based on violence whereas ST was an exploration mission, with some battles thrown in to boost ratings. I would follow the leader of peace.

And finally, what are you politicos doing derailing our Star Trek/BSG thread???

Oh wait, did we..?

:)

I don't know, but I wouldn't be surprised if he was involved in sex trafficking.

BSG based on violence?! No! It's a quest through space to understand the basic meaning of life and purpose of humanity!

Take the Q sub-plot from TNG and put it on steroids- that's BSG.

Hey, he saved the Tribbles from the brink of extinction.
Only because he needed them for slave labor in the crystal mines for raw materials to build the federation biphase perlination units.

On the matter of Kirk and Picard. Oh man. I like them both, but they are suited to different rules.

Picard would make a great President of the Federation, but I think Kirk would make an awesome war-time Starfleet Admiral.

He never trusted Klingons...

But since the emancipation of the Tribbles under Captain Janeway, it's clear they have better standards of living and more personal freedom than the Tribbles kirk did not enslave.

You're applying an historical arrogance of presumption.

That may be so but you don't rise to that level of leadership in the federation without first being groomed by the universalists. The federation was an iron fist in a velvet glove.

Big differentials in comparisons here. Adama had one inherent enemy, the cylons which threatened the existence of all humanity. One mistake in decisions and execution would result in total species annihilation ... Nothing against Kirk or Piccard but basically they were on a cosmic joy ride playing fast and loose as they went...

And what's the alternative in a galaxy with the Romulans on one border and the Cardassians on the other?

Let me guess, you're one of those virtue-signaling Klingon separatists.
