It was a tad sudden. And exemptions should have been put in place for those previously cleared. I'll be honest. I was surprised that the sweep was this broad this quickly. But I also don't know how else it could have been done without alerting the ill-intentioned. I'm thinking it'll be sorted out soon.
What irks me is these are people who were already vetted. They were checked out. We're not letting in 10,000 refugees in because it seems like the nice thing to do, where, in fact, 10% of them are terrorist. I really get it's good in the long run, but to dictate this without even thinking out the ramifications? We've just notified the world we aren't to be trusted about anything! We broke our word at least a few hundred times in one day. And that's just the cases that made it to the news.
It could have been a narrower sweep, if he bothered listening to the people who actually understood the ramifications. There really are lots of people working in D.C. who know what they're doing, and they aren't elected or appointed. He could be listening to them.
