i was too scared to try a dating site. my fear was, "what if no one contacts me? dang!" hahaha also, i can email/chat/phone quite ok, but the whole meeting up in person freaked me out a little bit.

Haha well there is cdff, Fusion101, and the Christian cafe one offers an initial free trial- I must warn you though... most of my experience on dating sites has been negative... in fact I even met someone who was actually in prison!! Also men who are struggling with lust but occasionally there are men who genuinely love God and would give their all for Him and their future wife... be very careful. xx

Also where I live there are very few decent churches with mainly much older people or families... I'm encouraged by tourist and his wife though... and I know that if the Lord wants me to meet someone then it will happen... it's difficult to know what to do isn't it... should I never go on sites.... I dunno lol

I’m not in the UK so I don’t know. All the sites you mentioned in another post I never heard before. The US sites are hit or miss, I definitely won’t send a message if they are not Christian and even then I want to make sure we are equally yoked. I think a great idea is adding in the bulletin of the church singles that want to mingle! Lol that would help

I’m not in the UK so I don’t know. All the sites you mentioned in another post I never heard before. Do churches ever put on dances or is that not allowed.
I think the entire time Ive been in some churches there has never been anything like a dance where you could actually find a partner.
In schools, universities etc every year they have a ball (in america they call it 'the prom' ) or social and that is a big deal everyone gets dressed up and has to ask someone to dance with, you know like PROPERLY.
so why dont churches do this? thats you chance to practice a bit of chivalry men and for ladies to dress up a bit instead of your usually holey jeans and trackpants look.

in the Bible there was actually a dance where the unmarried men were supposed to catch a wife.
so I dont know why some churches seem to frown on single people socialising via dancing.
like in the movie 'footloose'
