I'm married and of course I find my husband attractive , but before I was married I always seemed to date guys with light hair and blue eyes. I don't know why I guess it just happened. I didn't even notice until my Mother pointed it out to me. I know, who cares, but it was a weird observation.

My preferred body type is... "in shape".

Lucky for me God made all kinds of shapes, round, square, triangle, rectangle...

Preferences are okay to have as long as they don't dictate who you let into your life and close to your heart.

I am hesitant to say my body type preference because it seems like once I say it, it will sound like I'm ruling out anyone who doesn't have that body type. I'm currently in a relationship with someone who doesn't look like a male model (and I don't look like a female model either, so who cares, right?). He is handsome to me because I love him.

Once in a while I'll see a celeb or a random stranger with a body I can appreciate and looks like my idea of perfect. It doesn't mean I prefer them to other people for looking like that. It just means if I were to pick up a pencil and paper and draw fictional people, I'd aim to draw my person with that kind of shape.

Picking out a human companion isn't like picking out a fruit at the grocery store, because many other things about them can so easily override your surface preferences.
In a society where so many of us are pressured to either look perfect, or hide our physical flaws, it's easy to be made to feel insecure for not living up to somebodies preference. Even though we all know deep down we shouldn't let that affect our self-worth.

This has nothing to do with judging anyone. This has to do with physical traits of attraction. We're all inclined to like some traits more, or less, than others. I can find someone physically unappealing, but that doesn't mean i'm judging who she is as a person.

Taller is good, i'm 6'3"so too short and we would never see eye to eye on anything.

In shape/Athletic. I'm an avid snowboarder and enjoy being outdoors and doing things.

Hair isn't a body type but I always seem to be more attracted to them.

A good face and good hair.
body's not so important, although there is such thing as too skinny... I'm not much for six packs either.

Often in our society, we are 'taught' what a perfect man or perfect woman looks like. I wonder, as single people, do you have a preference in how a potential partner looks? Blonde or brown hair? Tall or short?
I believe that we have these pre-conceived notions on what we want, that we miss what's right in front of us. Can you imagine, when God gave Eve to Adam, Adam turning to God and saying 'Sorry, she's not what I imagined my woman to look like. Try again.'? Or getting out his sketch pad and drawing a picture of his 'perfect' woman? Instead, God created Eve, as Adam's helpmate, and he accepted what God had for him.
What are your thoughts and comments?

Female...smaller than me (by almost any variance)...should be good to go on body form there... ^^

Oh, and btw, I'm 6'5 and weight 300lbs...based on the latest American census data (whose people tend be bigger in most respects of the word than the rest of the world...), that means most women should fit in that category just fine.
