Good luck with that bro.

From what I've observed, the best way to make it happen is to get out and interact in various threads. Post your opinions, make some hopefully witty comments, get out there and mingle.

You won't get many nibbles if you don't put some bait on the line. Put your personality out here and let the ladies know what they are dealing with.

Does anyone else also feel like as a Christian, finding a spouse is a million times harder than those who are non-Christians? I've made peace with the fact that I can't just marry anyone and that God has to give me the go-ahead before I even entertain the idea of being with someone. The closer I get with God, the more things I add to my list of things that a man needs to have (e.g. a healthy prayer life, knowledge of/belief in the spiritual realm, filled with the Holy Spirit, a desire to worship God every day amongst other things) for me to even consider entering into a relationship and I feel like I might be putting myself in a box by having all these checkboxes. Can anyone relate? I definitely don't wanna settle or end up with the wrong person but I'm worried that I'm being too selective. But it just feels like most Christian men my age (27) that I encounter are lacking in these things/the passion for Jesus.
The important thing is to pray. I prayed for 3 1/2 years for the right spouse. We have now been married for 12 years. She is the right one. Life can be difficult. Her and I work together to meet the challenges.

Or better yet, seek first the Kingdom of God, and ALL these things will be added unto you.
Nibblers can be bottom dwellers, and may not be Christian as they lean on their own understanding and fail to give Him first place.
What is His plan for your life? He wants all of us to find it and walk it out.
best wishes

In 2014 CC had ads for about 2 weeks. There were so many complaints that the owner removed the ads. As you know this site is supported financialy strictly by donations. I gave a sizeable donation years ago but sadly have been lax since. Time for another one sooner rather than later.
I very much appreciate it being ad free, although what kind of ads would a christian site have anyway?
Anything as long as they paid?

I recall another forum had ads and they would have dodgy adult dating website ads and horoscopes etc. Nobody goes on facebook because of all the 'sponsored content' ads disguising themselves as peoples posts.

This thread isnt an ad in disguise is it?

Yes, many Christians feel that way because, in a way, we are the minority. And little by little it gets even harder. You are correct about the "go ahead". sometimes, and it's very difficult to take, God may not want a woman to be with anyone. In my view, the small issues to cogitate on in married life are important too. Never question an idea that pops into your mind and cast it off as unimportant. Long ago, I was on a Christian dating site & was told by some that I was too picky. That's only because of the state of the world! the more people misbehave, the more righteousness seems to decrease. Read Proverbs 31: 10-31. Make sure you fill all the "woman" qualities for marriage, constantly talk to Jesus & the Holy Spirit about it & the answer will arrive. And of course patience is diminishing in the world also so be patient in all smiles, trust, faith & rest in your spirit. We all know waiting is extremely difficult but Jesus has help for you. I will pray for you.

I relate totally to your story and yes it's been so difficult having to find a Christian spouse it's being one of mine most difficult tasks to accomplish been on it now for a couple years and I'm hoping and trusting that God would be good to bring to manifestation that which he has proposed for me personally yes I believe that there's a soulmate for everyone and I believe that there's everyone for somebody. Anyway I would encourage you not to discourage ,God is faithful. Thank you for talking about this.

I'm quite sure that God is not telling anyone to leave their spouses.

Can't remember anywhere in the bible that God told anyone to leave a spouse.

If there is, cinder will probably know it.

How do you come to believe that nibblers are bottom dwellers? Nothing wrong at all with a person asking a few questions about someone that might interest them in regard to a prospective relationship. That is all part of the process of getting to know someone. How did you believe that such people may not be Christian? Perhaps they are leaning of their own spiritual biblical understanding. God does indeed have plans for each individual life, but part of the plan requires action on the individual's part. I would say that finding a loving and faithful spouse is indeed something that is added on to one's life for those that are such inclined.

Proverbs 25-24-

New King James Version
It is better to dwell in a corner of a housetop, Than in a house shared with a contentious woman.

Looks like she is supposed to move out to her "she shed":)(y):coffee:
