So, I was just thinking, I'm the kind of person who is constantly trying to grow and learn and better myself. There have been many times that I was doing something that wasn't the best for someone else or was hurting them, without even realizing it. For example: my best friend had to pull me aside at one point in our friendship to let me know that my sarcastic joking really hurt her feelings. I was completely unaware that the things I was joking about and thought were funny to us both, actually hurt her. So communicating that to me gave me a chance to correct the problem and help our relationship grow and strengthen. Hasn't been a problem since.
Maybe an explanation or conversation would be a good idea in order to give the other person an opportunity to choose whether or not it's something they want to work on. I know that I'm not the biggest fan of someone dismissing me from their life because of something I was unaware was hurtful or damaging and not giving me the chance to explain or work on it.
Obviously its it's different if they know and just don't care and don't do anything about it, or if it's something they have no control over. But like Cee said, I don't think we should be so quick to throw away relationships and people. Gotta give people a chance.
