Didn't work for you because there is a great difference between being funny and being playful. You wasn't playful.

You have to make people laugh on a smart way. When you do that, people that try to pick up on you will just be seen as mean by the others.

Just picture this scenario: Jim Carrey is about to make a presentation in your city, everybody wants to go watch him, then suddenly an idiot cancels the show, what will be the feeling of the people when they know a specific guy canceled the show?
The best thing this guy gotta do is to cancel his twitter account ASAP, and don't go out on the streets for a long time.
You don't know me, mate. I was known as a class clown. Perhaps I did that to avoid being bullied. But it didn't work, did it?

Forgive me I come across as being rude, but with all respect, my friend, I don't think you were in Tintin's shoes in that particular situation. It is easy to look at this with hindsight and remark that he should have acted in a certain way, it is also easy to be be an arm-chair critic, but neither you were not in his situation nor were you in any capacity whatsoever to have demonstrated to Tintin how he should have handled the matter. Furthermore, I do not remember Tintin asking you for your advice on this matter. Hence, I think you should drop this and move on with the topic of this thread, where the OP has solicited your views.

I have ADHD, do you still believe I haven't been bullied?
Do you know the feeling of being treated like a retard? For years in school, like over a decade? Like a mental challenged person, even knowing that you're not one?

Do you know how hard it is to want to talk as loud as you can, but you just can't because your brain is just unstoppable?

How hard it is to focus, to put the words together?

It wasn't just the bully part that I had to face, but also my difficulty to focus on the studies, and to have a good social life, as I avoided people too many times.

But I grew up and I noticed that everything I was doing all these years was playing the victim role.

My brain may work like a Formula 1 being driven by a squirrel, but I'm still healthy. There are people far worse than me in the world that accomplished things unthinkable, then why me, someone who just have a clock in the head, that runs perhaps only 5 times faster than most people's clock, shouldn't accomplish anything? Just look at Stephen Kawking, and you'll get a very good example.

My problems are all mine alone, I don't want to blame the world for my problems.

And he just said he was the clown, when I basically said he should have been the comedian, not a clown, a clown is not playful at all. THERE IS a very big difference between being funny and being playful. A playful person is a person loved by most people, because of his/her charisma, while a funny person is someone that just make some jokes all the time.

If he still thinks things are bad for him and that being playful doesn't work at all, then the best thing he's gotta do is to learn martial arts and beat the crap out of anyone who makes fun out of him, if he's small in number then he should learn social engineering to get his own "gang".
Yes, just that, beat the crap out of everyone, if you insist on saying being playful doesn't work. But please, just don't go out there pointing the finger at people's faces saying they're the reason of your problems, that's cowardly. Don't blame society for things that are happening in your mind. Most times people aren't really mean, they're just angry to themselves, ever stopped to think that the bully may be a frustrated person that receives no attention from their parents, or anything like that.

If there is one thing that I've learned, is that, except for psychopaths, behind every evil there is a reason. People have feelings, most people are angry with their own lives, so they try to get a relief by blaming or attacking other people.
This just doesn't fit for psychopaths, as they're mentally ill, their empathy button is turned off during like 80% of the time.

People who are successful in life, do you think they never had to pass a hell to reach where they've reached?

Well they have passed, and they've won, but they're not blaming the others for the bad things that happened to them.

Wake up in the morning and thank God every day that you've not been born 1000 years ago, just do that, you'll see how wonderful your life is today, compared to the people of that time.

Now if your problem is something really serious, call the police.

It's one of these odd topics that mean so much and so little at the same time.

Love transcends differences so if two people fall for each other then....that's that!

However, tribalism is an intensely powerful part of human nature. To take an interracial (for want of a better term...) relationship beyond the realms of curiosity/fetish etc takes open mindedness and maturity I think. It also takes certain amount of confidence and bravery to step out of your comfort zone too. Certainly the non black guys who have asked me out etc have almost unanimously had somewhat extreme characters. Despite living in a diverse city, I think presumptions are made about preferences and perceptions when it comes to black women in especially. I think 90 seconds in my mind would surprise a lot of men!

The bottom line of it all is that if we are called into a relationship with another person by God, God provides the preferences, persistence, strength etc we need to weather cultural disapproval/disapproving families. I like to think that anyway :)

[SUB][/SUB]Its a great thing if you get to find ur dream guy or gal for instance i like the white and iam an African the reason being i like the mixture of the genes and colour. Also by interraccial dating you tend to appreciate diversity and different cultures in the globe. We all belong the same creator inspite of our origins. For me its not a big deal ;its fine because love has no boundaries, colour, race, name it,

Bellefemmebeni, I think it's great that you are open to dating other races. I've always admired Haitian art and music, love listening to Coupe Cloue :) sounds festive...Anyway I'm glad to see you here and don't let anyone get you upset about this subject. Naturally some just aren't as open minded as others. This reminds me of a youtube video, called the "door test". From the movie "A Bronx Tale". I'm a believer in what he tells the kid with him...the young man is interested in a black gal and he's worried what his friends will say. The older fellow's comment is worth its weight in gold.

I personally don't have an issue with interacial dating. I have never dated outside of my race, but I wouldn't rule it out.

Melita I am also Latina(Dominican), but only dated latino boys during my childhood (you know the first BFs that you dont count lol) but for some reason i an not attracted to the hispanic guys in TCI, not because they are Spanish but because of their lifestyle(just observed the few that live here) So I Mainly dated black guys from the caribbean.

Belle my high school sweetheart was half Haitian half Turks and Caicos Islander.

I always wondered what it would be dating an american or european lol but the ones on the island where i live (Providenciales) are not christians they are like deep into partying and drinking. But im open to any race once they are of the same faith and are born-again believers. For

For there is no respect of persons with God. Roms 2:11(kJV)

so who am I to refuse what could be a wonderful experience." God works in mysterious ways" and "might bless us outside of our comfort zone"

It's great.to see that we're not too stick up on the race issue because at the end, we're all humans.

All those different colors only make the world more of a beautiful place to live in. Thanks guys!!

I'm still voting for inter-GRACIAL dating.
God's grace can overcome any dating
problems that may arise.
(Or so I've heard...I still haven't really been on real date, really)
Thank you, Belle, for the thoughtful thread.
Merry Christmas! :)

I have dated interracially off & on since the age of 16. I married into the same race due to my families expectations and found myself very unhappy. I am not blaming my unhappiness on the race of my ex or my family. What I am saying is that choosing to please others over taking the time to pray and pleasing God and myself is what made me unhappy. Thus, causing much havoc. So, if you prefer interracial dating and you have prayed about your mate, God has given His approval then do NOT allow society or outside pressures to dictate your choice.

I could say so much on this since I'm currently dating an Indian cutie <3 But culturally yeah, that's kind of a big issue if the families do not accept the match. Spiritually as well, but that doesn't need a race to be an issue!
