Why can't we all gather round and eat this?

Thank you egeiro. Three of my arteries clogged just from looking at that picture.

Globs of butter that are shaped like that look like whipped cream, or maybe even ice cream. It isn't, but it always looked that way, to me.

I went out for a burger yesterday and ended up ordering a waffle instead, all while wishing I’d just gone ahead and ordered chocolate chip pancakes like I wanted to do. The lady I went to lunch with ordered bacon and eggs with a side of crepes, which I didn’t even know was a thing, and now I think I should’ve ordered a pancake platter with bacon, a waffle on the side, and biscuits and gravy to go.

My son poured syrup on his French fries, which also seemed like a good idea.

Basically what Im saying is that I haven’t eaten much besides veggies for two months and at this point there is no “which is better”, because I just want to eat all the breakfast food. At the same time.

I'm learning that breakfast food is true comfort food.

Normally, my comfort food is grilled cheese with soup. There's probably more comfort to be had in a stack of pancakes or waffles or hot buttered muffins. My breakfast is usually a supplement shake, or some toast with coffee.

Pancakes are always better especially if I make them. Waffles soak up the syrup and are sticky cold when you eat them. If forced to eat waffles, I just lightly butter them and put a little jam or preserves on them. I used to make pancakes for the street people in Oakland, California on E. 14th Street. They really raved about those pancakes. I don't eat bacon, ugh.

Does anyone like blueberry muffins? My stepfather is especially good at making those. Hot, fresh, and with butter. Haven't had 'em in years.

Edit:
My favorite muffin of all time is lemon poppy seed.

Yeah, I love blueberry muffins. The lemon poppy seed ones are scrumptious as well.

I don’t usually eat a meal for breakfast, except for maybe scrambled eggs & toast on Saturday morning. But when I lived in Pennsylvania, my family would occasionally go to one of the many Amish restaurants, which usually featured an all-you-can-eat buffet. The breakfast spreads were always phenomenal! :D
