I shave every Sunday morning and ever Wednesday afternoon - right before church, both days. Occasionally we might not have a Wednesday service and I might skip shaving then... but the next Sunday morning, oh how rough it is to shave!

Of course if I used water and shaving cream and aftershave and all that foo-foo stuff it would probably be easier to shave after a week, but bleh, what a hassle and mess!
It's so frustrating because I have to shave my legs on a daily basis, but guys can get away with doing it maybe twice a week:rolleyes: I'm just venting :p

Since I was old enough to shave I've almost always had facial hair. Only on a few occasions have I shaved completely and immediately regretted it.
I haven't used any sort of razor in over 10 years. I use hair clippers. I shave my head and face at the same time. Anywhere from 2-6 months apart, depending on mood and what's going on. But I always have at least a goatee.
I've even refused to shave to get a job.
So, ladies, if you don't like facial hair keep moving. And even if you do, still keep moving. My heart still belongs to another. =P

I have always thought of beard as something that is not very attractive. My ex-husband was not at all good looking with beard. My father and grandfathers were all clean shaven, I guess that had something to do with it

But. Then I fell in love. And he had a beard. And suddenly beard became very attractive.

So. The beard doesn't really matter as long as it is groomed and not full of hay or pizza leftovers. (Hay... my teacher was having a beard and was a sheep farmer. He often had hay in his beard). I have an idea that germs feast in the beard, though.

And when I fall in love, it is not in the beard but in the person.

Facial hair can be nice on the right guy...trimmed and clean...like, not saving breakfast crumbs or todays soup for an afternoon snack...

And I have to say, I liked the way the redness and scratched feeling stayed around reminding me of the hedge hogs time spent an hour or two later...

My mother had told me to steer clear of dating anyone with large bushy beards and refuse to regularly shave, because their beards would get really dirty from eating when not shaved for a long time, and it's not hygenic to kiss them.

I gotta say, I agree, too. But as long as they shave once a week, I don't have any major issues with beards on men.

But then again, I wouldn’t want to worry too much on the appearance of a man - moreso, their heart :)

I think a man who loves the Lord, has shiny sparkly eyes, and a genuine smile can pull off any look he wants to and be beautiful. :)

Just sayin'...as a child I was terrified of facial hair! My dad, grandpas, older brothers, and pretty much every guy I trusted and was used to was clean shaven. I think as an adult that carries over. Of course, I'm no longer terrified by facial hair, and at this later date I have some good friends with facial hair, and one of my brothers often lets it grow. I guess you could say I'm acclimating. BUT. I still prefer most guys clean shaven, or at least not with flowing beards. Basically noting hanging more than an inch or two off the chin; it looks unkempt! At the same time, it is totally their choice, and what do I have to say about it?

In my experience, women who grew up with close family members having facial hair are more prone to find a man with facial hair attractive than women who grew up with all clean shaven male family members.

Same here. My experience isn't wide, but from what I've seen, that seems to be the case.
