I've always wanted to be a wombat.

I think maybe it's obvious what's stopping me.
Yes, Miss Cris. Firstly, you don't live in Australia. That's the main obstacle. Also, the deer can't stop judging you. If you're going to spend a lot of time in the wild, you need to make sure you're confident about your bush-bashing abilities, so you can put up with other judgmental wildlife. :)

I'm thinking... this would make a nice sequel to "Angry Birds"....

"Judgmental Wildlife."

"Yup, that squirrel (and/or marsupial, for our Aussie friends :)) REALLY IS judging you."

I'm actually surprised I like vacuuming, after my childhood. My mother was a bit OCD and would actually time me while vacuuming. If I didn't take long enough (going s-l-o-w to pull the individual fibers up) she would make me do it over.

Doesn't carpet cleaning... involve chemicals...? :p
Yeeess, it does, but i'm not trapped in a small room with them floating freely about. It's all pumped through a machine straight into the carpet and not too strong.
Fun was living in S FL, in the summer, and going into a collage apartment that hadn't been opened at all in 2 months, and pushing around a a big metal wand that gets hot from the hot water pumping through it and having to wear pants, and having shoulder length hair. o.0 H O T !

GreenNnice,

KJVbeliever -- why the KJV username ?

I just wanted to use my favorite verse as my username, John 15:11, but the website wouldn't let me use ":" so I tried 15John11, nope, can't start with a number, so I added "KJV." Just another victim of the system. :)
Umm...why didn'tcha just make the username "John15_11 :D?
Jilly: What makes you laugh?
YOU DO!!! No, seriously, when I need a laugh, I usually either come here to read a thread that we've derailed, or remember a previous post that made me laugh or recall something funny that someone said, especially a youngster. I was laughing many different times last week from something a 6 year old said (the name she gave one of her pets. Cheesebell :)).

This thread looks like fun! I wanna play!

everyone - what is/are your favorite thing(s) to go on a pizza?
Sure, Steve, and here's a question for you: Did I remember your name correctly? Also, what's your favorite ice cream toppings? My fave pizza stuff is black olives (LOTS of them), cheese.... um, vegetarian sausage (less greasy) ... um... wow, that might be all... oh, right, onions.

We've done this twice before, and I think it's time for another round :). This is a thread in which we ask each other questions, usually ones specific to specific users, but general ones are fine as well. Don't get banned peeps, but ignore questions you don't want to answer. I couldn't think of every single (pun?! :D) person who has been in this forum over the past year, so the first one is for everyone.

FourLeaf: You mentioned awhile back that you were healed from allergies. I'd love to hear the story; was it suddenly, or over time :)?
Oh i have nasal allergy before when i was in high school. I'm allergic to baby powder and other strong odors it makes me difficult to breathe and had an uncontrollable sneezing. I've been treating it with nasal spray and antihistamine prescribe by doctor. It was overtime. I remember when i went to a church conference back in 2007, one of the pastor there declared healing to all who have allergies and I received it. And since then my allergies have healed. It was great. God's miracle is so great.

To everyone: What is your least favorite chore that must be done? and what is the most rewarding chore, that you don't mind doing?
Laundry and dish washing is my least favorite. I love to cook. To see my love ones enjoying the food i made and tell me its good is precious and absolutely rewarding. :)

I did. What happened? The Kecksburg_UFO_incident.

I have no idea how to respond to that, but thank you for answering the question, Chain :).

See, if you had said that was a desert, everyone would have been all "OOh!!! candied peanuts in caramel! I want some!"

Looks like Cristen's been cooking :D!

Lets see, To everyone here, what was/is your dream job?
Umm, can I get someone to pay me to help people on the internet :D? No, seriously, guys, you can eat all the pickled garlic you want without social repercussions while simultaneously reaching someone who's afraid to ask for help offline. Best job EVER! Oh, and Oncefallen, don't ban me for that. I'm not technically asking for money. Well, hmm, was I? IDK.

I graduated last fall semester with my associates degree. I got on the Dean's List and everything. (Yay!) This past year, I've found myself completely isolated, and when I tried to connect with others, I couldn't seem get anywhere so I got the feeling God wanted me alone with him to learn a few things. And I've been learning plenty, especially on how to be dependent on God. Now I keep hearing every single place I go(Sermon, Sunday School, random people, a sermon at a funeral that I attended recently- all saying the exact same message.) that God doesn't want me alone. I am thoroughly confused.

Smudge, congrats on graduating with honors :). And I agree with Jim; God doesn't want you to be alone, so that's one of the reasons He sent Jesus, who's always there with you :). Although it's good to try to get as much out of sermons as we can, it's also good to pray about it and ask for discernment as to the truth of the speech and also for the Holy Spirit to let you see things He might have wanted you to see that are specific to you :).
Everyone: Again, curious, what do you do for Halloween?
I like keeping the candy for myself :). Sometimes we hand out candy (usually with a little note in each goody bag mentioning the Lord Jesus), sometimes we don't turn the lights on in the first place. I like fall decorations, though :).

Because I never thought of that. Outside of a few basic functions, I'm computer illiterate.

I assumed that computer programs were designed by logical minds, but the more I deal with it, the more I realize that they are designed by artistic types. What looks pretty over functionality. :)

yes, you did! :) My favorite ice cream topping? It depends on the ice cream....assuming plain ole' vanilla (and there is nothing wrong with a classic such as that), I would say hot fudge! ....and whipped cream.....and chopped nuts...and....oh, you just asked for one. Got a little crazy there...:p

i m muslim girl i always wanted to knw wats the difference.b/w religions if every religion teaches the ryt
Arab Princess, thank you for asking :)! There are many things about Christianity that are different from other religions, but the main thing about Christianity is that our God (God the Father; Jehovah is His Name) loved us so much that He wanted us to live with Him in Heaven after we die and be His family forever, even on this Earth! The problem is that we all have done bad things, and these bad things (our sin) keep us away from God :(. We all deserve to be punished for our sins, but we can't save ourselves. That's why God sent His only begotten Son Jesus, (Who is perfect and never sinned) to Earth to take all the punishment that we deserve for our sin. Jesus allowed Himself to be killed on the cross to take the punishment for our sins because He loved us so much. There's a happy part to this story: a few days after Jesus died, He rose from the dead! He's in charge of death now so we can be saved even though we've all done wrong things! I know that it's a lot to think about, but I'm going to pray that Jesus lets you know that He is the Saviour and that He loves you SO much! He wants you to ask Him to forgive your sins and to save you and to trust Him with your life. Honestly, my friend, life with Jesus is like the most interesting, peaceful adventure ever, even when things get rough and your friends abandon you, because He won't leave you once you trust in Him.

Loveneverfails...internet high five!

I listened to the youtube clip, what a beautiful piece. And challenging.

Here's a question for you, PopClick , Shouryu, and CatHerder -- what are all of YOUR favorite go-to classical pieces to play? Also, how did you guys get started with playing your instruments in the first place?
Thanks!

My go-to piece is one that's simple but is so pretty and it makes me happy. I'd play it all the time if I could, and I get absolutely lost in it. Debussy's Arabesque No. 1. I am a huge fan of Debussy's works.

My parents started me in piano lessons when I was 5 years old, under the instruction of a strict Russian pianist. My parents just wanted me to be well-rounded, and my dad is a musician so he wanted music to be part of my education. Unfortunately my Russian teacher didn't get the memo about just being "well-rounded", and instead had her heart set on making me the next great concert pianist, apparently. She made me practice 4 hours a day, at 5 years old.
She taught me great technique and discipline, but I'm glad my parents switched me to another instructor later. Between my second piano teacher and my dad, I grew up just loving music, and now I might not be the best classical pianist ever but I also play other instruments, and in several different styles, so I'm happy with being 'well-rounded'. :)
