Some of the issues I mentioned in my post are specific for India but there may be some non-Indians who tend to think this way too. This is why I wanted to share a few details about my personal struggles, to give such people some advice.
You have put it wonderfully - marriage is about a team of two, battling it out with God overseeing them. This is an amazing idea and I hope everybody thinks of marriage this way.
