I just got an email from work announcing the Q1 work outing. They will be doing this thing called a panic room.
Basically, they lock you, and a group, into a room that is filled with puzzles. In order to get out of the room, you must solve the puzzles.
I am not enthusiastic about this prospect at all. I like challenges and excel at them usually, but this doesn't sound like fun to me. It is an artificial entrapment. That alone isn't what bothers me, it is that the expected solution to escape is to solve the puzzles. I'm a very 'out of the box' type thinker. If I were to be locked in one of these 'panic' rooms, I could certainly get out, I have no doubt of that, but I doubt my solutions to the problems would likely fall in the scope of what the creators intended.

So the goal is then not to escape but solve the puzzles, though the stated goal is to escape.

Reminds me of Algebra- You can't just solve it, you need to show how you solved it, and that has to match how you are supposed to solve it.
I didn't like Algebra.
no way I would do it. nyet. I would have a nice place to tell them to stick that idea.

Has anyone else ever noticed that in close quarters BO starts to smell like pizza?

I mean truly, it does, and it's very unnerving. It's slowly burning out your olfactory nerves or something, because BO is not pizza.
BO in close quarters of a stranger....always smells like corn chips Servant Strike lol

If you here of some crazy woman in TX trying to do supernatural things, just note it was the headaches that drove me to it. Third night and they are trying to come back. Hopefully the meds the doctor prescribed will calm it down. Sinus infections are the worst.

I can't say I've noticed that at all. Are you trying to put me off pizza, brother? It's not going to work!

That sounds like sinusitis. If that's what it is, I found the best thing for it is sleep..lots of sleep. Hope u feel better soon, Kat.

Oh yeah! There's havarti, and brie, and that really good kind of colby that a local mennonite store stocks, and gorgonzola (but just a bit... a little gorgonzola goes a long way) and gruyere, and...

My sinuses just started going haywire when I typed all that. I'd better stop. :-/

I woke up with a mild headache and a blah feeling.

FIRST THOUGHT: Oh no, I hope I'm not getting sick.

SECOND THOUGHT: Hey no fair! I didn't even get drunk last night!

(This second thought brought to you by the fact I wasn't always a christian.)

Fortunately I'm feeling fine now. No idea what the headache was all about.

I have been told by a nurse that you can get a headache from sleeping too sound....so sleeping is dangerous now :p
