....and then there's that.

QUOTE=shineyourlight;2556926]Apparently, you have to be 8 years old or older to own an Ouija Board. So, let me get this straight: You need to be 21 to drink legally and 8 to summon the devil. ‪

Right......[/QUOTE]

"The greatest trick the devil ever pulled was convincing the world he doesn't exist" (or something of the sorts. Can't remember who said it)
That's from the movie, "Usual Suspects." Keyser Soza (Kevin Spacey) spoke that line.

God has allowed something to transpire, and someone very dear to me has kind of walked out of my life for now. I was kind of physically cold and shuddery and numb earlier, but I think I'm okay now.

I know that God lets and sometimes even makes these things happen for our own good, and I know this will be good for me in the end...

I'm fully accepting of the situation, but right now I'm raw and getting jumped on with ideas that aren't mine that are trying to wriggle into my mindset and become wrong attitudes and thought patterns.

"Friends don't stay. You drag them down and they have to leave."
"This is why you wear a mask. You can't trust people."
"This is all your fault."
"This is all their fault."

I just really need your prayer right now, guys. For this potentially nasty mind war, and the situation behind it.
**Hugs** I'm praying for you bro. We're here for you. Battle's already won. **More hugs**

I love how honest little kids are! I wonder what life would be like if adults were that way too.

Has anyone ever heard of Take His Heart to the World Ministries? A lady knocked on my door this evening and handed me a flyer and started talking about salvation and then something about "spiritual boot camp". I read the paper she gave me and most of it seems on the up and up, and I tried checking out the website but can't get it to load. Anyway, I'd never heard of them before and have precious little idea what they're really about and thought it couldn't hurt to ask y'all.

I dug around their website and it has all the signs of a cult to me. They claim every modern church (except theirs) is corrupted. They claim special knowledge.

Ah...thanks for checking that out. Like I said, the info she gave me seemed *mostly* ok, but that's how cults get their followers. Anyway, good to know!

I just went back to brown contacts after wearing amethyst for a little bit... I'm seriously considering red or white contacts soon - I want something really different.

Thank God for Facebook group invites. Imagine me having to actually see people face to face and inviting them to celebrate my birthday with me.

Dude... you wear contacts?

I always thought that if I lost an eye, I'd get a glass eye that didn't match, maybe with a dilated pupil. I was thinking light gray.

I had a pair of both mint green and bubble gum pink Converse sneaks in high school and used to wear one of each at the same time. I need to get with the times!

Man, I wish I could still wear contacts... One green and one pink... contact lens... at the same time... Now THAT would freak people out!! :D

So...apparently people like to argue a lot. It's been really pronounced lately. Whether it's work, home, a romantic relationship, a platonic relationship, politics, religion, worldviews, philosophy, even just basic understandings in education (math and science and such), and just about anywhere and everywhere you look it seems like people are divided into camps or positions arguing over this or that... =/

Is there anything we can agree on? Like, we all need oxygen? That's pretty irrefutable right? I don't know... It just changes the whole mood and mindset. It's cool when everyone is chilling and having fun, and then some topic seems to pop-up almost ruin everything.

#lots of joy-stealing/killing going on in the world

On a similar note, I want to comment that 'the Shema' (Hear O Isreal, the Lord our God, the Lord is ___) literally has 3 different translatable definitions (like the way English words can often mean multiple things based on context...):

1 ...the Lord is Alone (Singular).
2 ...the Lord is Unity.
3 ...the Lord is One.

With the context of 'Our Father' to preface, and belief of God as being Triune, it's interesting to use the second definition of Him being unity in a world which seems to struggle to unify over anything.
