Guys...

I've gotten very little sleep this week. I really need to get a real night of sleep sometime soon.
I could call you up and talk about music for a few hours... Or a few days... You'll go right to sleep, works every time. Nobody can stay awake when I start talking about music on and on and on.

My grandma's sister passed away this morning. :(
I feel really bad right now. This lady had a hard life: abusive husband who wouldn't let her go out because he was jealous. He literally put steel bars and several curtains on the windows to keep her locked up.
She had a hard death too. Please pray that my grandma and the rest of the family take it well. My grandma has lost 2 sisters this year and a niece last year.

A have a couple of nice memories with this lady though. She visited grandma for an extended period of time (her husband had already passed by then) and I believe she was already mentally a child again. You know how older people start acting like children after a certain age. Anyways, I was about 5 years old and we went picking berries on my grandma's tree. Then she played with my Ariel and Eric dolls. She loved those dolls and couldn't believe they had such cute clothes. I remember she liked Eric's boots. My grandma said her and her sisters could never afford dolls back in the day. They would make rag dolls from leftover fabric and cotton. I'll always cherish these memories.

Quick prayer requestish:

My work is hiring and I may have convinced my brother to apply. This would be much better for him than the flipping burgers and delivering pizzas he's been doing, but he gets discouraged really easy. So please pray that he keeps his motivation enough to follow through with applying and interviews well.

Also if anyone is interested in starting to work in tech support (and is eligible to work in the US and is local or doesn't mind footing the bill to move), we need to hire 3 people. PM me for details.

this year, we filled out all the forms to get in network with a specific insurance company that finally decided to add chiropractic benefits.

i want to kick this insurance company in the knee.

i called to check on someone's benefits. i asked (as i always do with this company) if i need to send a prior authorization. i was told yes. so i faxed over all the proper documents on friday. today, i get a fax back saying this patient doesn't need a prior authorization. well heck man!

now, i'm on the phone checking another person's benefits. the system says 2 things: 1) there are no chiropractic benefits and 2) it's a copay with a prior authorization.

so.... which one is it?! gah. lol

Sorry for your loss, Molly. :( She sounds like a very dear lady and like someone who'd go straight to heaven..

I'm a registered, card-carrying nerd... but if I started doing computer stuff as a job, I think it wouldn't be fun anymore.

When it comes to value are numbers more valuable than words or are they both of equal value?

Example: You look like a 10/10! vs. You look fantastic!

Maybe it is just about context.

Jeremiah told me to nail the tree to the ground so it doesn't move and then I can worship it.

Oh, wait... ;)

That verse doesn't actually concern Christmas trees.

I hope your sentimental ornaments didnt break..:-(
I'm so sorry, ZT! Were any of the ornaments broken? :(
Thanks you guys. Fortunately only 3 or 4 of the shiny balls broke... and one little gingerbread man :( Now that I think of it, all our sentimental ornaments aren't even on the tree. We have so many boxes of decorations, they are probably still in a box. (I didn't do the decorating, only the lights..)
