Note to self: don’t wait until After the tea bottle is opened to tip it sideways to read something on the label.

I did a factory reset on my laptop while at work today because my Ethernet card finally died after acting up for the last couple of months. It was a last ditch effort to see if I could get it working again, to no avail. So I bought a wireless AC dual band USB adaptor, to get back online :D In the meantime, since I could not connect to the internet while at work, I started reloading all the fonts that were deleted during the reset... those 300+ fonts I spent hours and hours accumulating ten days ago. At one point I thought I had lost all my personal files, which is not supposed to happen  I am so glad I did not, because I had just spent more hours and hours collecting elements to put together with Scriptural graphics :)

I got to the "G" in reloading fonts :D

Haha good morning Ellie. I hope you are well this day that the Lord has made :) "G" as in "God." :D The good thing about having to reload the fonts is, that after having been going through them multiple times to select ones for use in my graphics, I got an idea of which ones I did not need, or were unsuitable, so I have been able cull quite a few from the list, which means less to plow through every time I go looking for one :D

When I thought I had lost all my personal files, all the images I have accumulated over the last almost four years since getting this device, and especially all the hours of work of the last couple of weeks, installing the fonts, the finding transparent graphics to add to the templates I have made in preparation for having the Word of God added to them, I was not really upset. I just thought, hmmm, maybe I should have backed up my files :D Even though the reset is not supposed to affect them! I had looked in folder after folder, only to find them empty  All my movies, and TV series? Gone! All my text documents? Gone! All my images? Gone! All my photos? Gone! But my computer was using the screensaver images I had before the reset, and I realized that would not be possible if everything had been wiped clean. Phew!

However, all my bookmarks are gone :( Sometimes, it is good to start fresh :)

Man, there are so many incompetent flaky people out there who can't even commit to their own schedule!

But, thank you God for giving me the grace and the grit to take this on... what is not in my control, I shall not carry. :)

Is it odd for a guy to upkeep his colored hair? Apparently, not too many people at my job understand it. Even my manager said it was weird and though I was having a mid-life crisis  :(

I have a friend who does his every month or two. I don't know if it is considered "odd" or not, but I say do what you like as long as it isn't a sin, and don't worry about what other people think.
