One time I was boogieboarding at Huntington Beach and I wanted to go out past the breakers like the surfers do so I paddled way out there without fins and then turned around and realized the current or tide swept me out further than I thought and i started to panic. It was late in the day and no lifeguards were on duty anymore, plus I wasn't with anyone. I used to boogieboard everyday after work.. so I was all alone out there. I started paddling towards shore and praying and I was inching my way back and it seemed to take an eternity and I was worried my legs might cramp but they didn't and I finally made it back to the beach about half a mile from where I was before... I actually came onshore at Newport Beach! I was profusely thankful to God too lol.
That reminds me of a story my dad told me.

Back when he and my mom were teens, before they were married, he thought he would impress her by swimming real far in the ocean, got a leg cramp, nearly drowned, and two people had to help him out of the water.

My mom never even noticed.

That awkward moment when your mother-in-law accidently calls you by another name, like your husband's ex wife's name.....

That awkward moment when some guy brings a girl to the gym and you repeatedly catch her looking your way and you ask if she would like to take a picture. XD

That awkward moment when............... you're singing along with Bon Jovi's song "Bed of Roses" which you've known for years, but then you suddenly sing one of the lines that you never really noticed before.

"I want to be just as close as the Holy Ghost is"

Yeah, I will never sing that song again!

This did not happen to me recently, but a few years ago. And when I pointed out that line to of a friend of mine that loved that song, she gasped! She also couldn't believe she never noticed that line before. Then she said she won't be singing that song anymore either!

(This was an awkward moment I had a couple months ago. I'm not sure if I posted it....)

The awkward moment I was sitting in a cafe doing my homework and a guy approached me as he was leaving and said, "I was going to hit on you, but then you pulled out a Macbook," and he walked out the door.

You should be relieved - you dodged a bullet. Either he was a windows fanboy or a Linux fanboy. Either is to be avoided. Mac fanboys are also to be avoided.

Ownership of a computer running windows or Linux, or ownership of a mac, does not qualify one as a fanboy. You can't be a fanboy unless you hate and roundly deride the other two that you are not a fanboy of. If you are a Linux fanboy for example, you have to put down windows and Mac whenever possible, at every opportunity.

So I was sitting at my desk cramming for the month end pay period to ensure the amount we were paying the salesman was accurate and my phone rings and this guy is requesting me to meet him at the front desk in the showroom so I go.......he wanted me to drive his pickup home for him and he would take me back to my car so I can go home. So at the end of the day he picked me up in his camaro and drove me to the shop and had me drive his pickup back to his place.....don't worry I knew the guy in fact I'm related to him, but I will admit it was a bit awkward lol

That awkward moment when you tell kids, all the time, not to climb on stuff they can't get down from. Then you go and do it yourself.

I know I always thought it moronic that facebook calls it friends.....let's be honest most of the people are just casual acquaintances not real friends....facebook has no hierarchy and lumps them all together....
