We have a local news reporter here in my country. He has what can be described as one of the most irritating voices one can have on TV. i'd call it a voice for a 1930's silent movie. To add to that he works for a public broadcaster that boot licks our government so we don't usually take their news broadcasts seriously. "Listen and add salt!" I used to go to the same gym with this guy and most regulars would tease him about his voice in the locker room.

I don't know about you guys, but it takes me a while to get accustomed to heavy accents. After a while they seem a lot more normal to me and I understand them better. When I'm watching British TV shows, it's fascinating to me how the first few episodes I struggle to understand all of the words, and then after that it's easy.
Oh my gosh Grace!!! I do the same thing. When watching a British show I'm like..."Are they even SPEAKING ENGLISH???" And 3 episodes in I'm like..."Pip pip cheerio let's have a go at it eh?"

I always had a thing for Alan Rickman's and Will Arnett's voices.

Bumping an old thread, but Sam Elliott's voice is waaaay too wonderful not to mention. Here he is waxing poetic about beef.

Hank Williams Sr. That voice is dragging you into his troubled world. Almost bringing tears to my eyes (always in fact).

This is my favorite of Hank's, it's one of his happier ones.

My grandmother grew up listening to him, and I remember hearing her sing this.

My dad was playing this music all the time.

Here's James Payne singing... about Hank Williams' songs, particularly "I saw the light."

You know, they were playing this song whenever they realized he was dead on Jan 1 1953. I'm not sure but I think it was someplace up yonder West Virginia or Ohio.

I like the spanish songs of Enrique Iglesias like Nunca de Olvidare and Cuando me enamoro. But now his songs are all about glorifying sex. His recording company has corrupted his talent and made him just a money making machine. I feel sorry for him, he gets drunk on stage to endorse a liquor. All for money.

Ive always kinda liked Patrick Stewarts voice more than Morgan Freeman. He should really get some voice over work, too.

My ex husband once told me he hated my voice, I never forgot it and I think about it every time I'm called on to speak to people formally or even pray publicly - I can't. Words can have far-reaching implications. My ex probably doesn't even remember saying it.
I'm so sorry that your ex husband said that hateful thing to you..words CAN stick with you I know.
My first boyfriend when seeing me without makeup to go meet his friends for the first time said "I'll just tell them you are tired"...
I couldn't go without makeup for the longest time however, now? I often go to work without it.

Just know that to God your voice is lovely and beautiful..and it depends more on the words you say and how you say it than the sound!:)
Blessings!

now this man has a voice!!
love!!

and he looks as good as his voice.. I have actually been attracted to a voice until I saw the owner..
I know that sounds shallow but ... in this case, it's not..trust me ....it's one of my customers ...over the phone his voice is incredible but he isn't my type..or the type of my coworkers..

it's low too.
Love the low voices

I LOVE a man's deep voice, oh I melt. I like Josh Turner's "Long Black Train" and my daughter entroduced me to a Christmas song recently because SHE loved the deep voice- "Silent Night" by the Temptations.

Many people think I sound sound like a little girl. I often get asked on the phone "Can I speak to your parents." Lol but I wouldn't want my voice to be deep- like a lot of women after smoking for years.
