Looking now cause my therapist says that I will be ready for a mate once I am released from prison.
The scary part is... as I've witnessed this on Christian dating sites, is that yes, some of the men (probably women as well) actually ARE in prison and they have help from the outside in posting profiles on the sites. You can actually tell by what they're wearing (prison garb comes in different colors but is recognizable) and backgrounds in their pictures.
How can I be sure? One wrote me that he was about to get out of prison (someone was managing his account for him) and another profile was actually a person I used to write back when I was corresponding with inmates. I also can't tell you the number of men who have written me over the years saying, "My therapist says I need to make friends with women whom I can trust and be close to..." They're usually still married and in the middle of separations or divorces.
Not to sound unsympathetic but the approach, and fact that they're on Christian dating sites as a way of meeting women is kind of disturbing.
It really can be kinda scary out there!
(Sorry, now back to your regularly scheduled thread.)
