Perhaps baiting people with blanket condemnations is what should be against the rules. As I understand it, Mahogany Snail created this thread specifically to bait someone named Mobius. In that case, it seems like Snail is clearly at fault here for flame-baiting.

I would love to know if that is true.

And yes, if it could be proven that someone was baiting others, I would think it would make sense to punish a person for doing so.

This guy calls the Apostle Paul a homophobe and tells me Im going to hell and you are defending him? I would hope you and others might rather defend the word of God and take a stand against those attacking it like he is. Gee Wiz, this is unreal.
Defending the word of God would be correcting him with a scripture or saying that you dont believe that- not telling him he's going to be banned and going to be judged harshly by Jesus.

Do you see the difference? I'm not saying he's right, I'm just tired of the back-biting Christians do in the name of Jesus. We should refute the ideas not condemning the people who make them. We have to be bigger than this.

The problem is when you assume the whole Bible is inerrant you have to accept things like

O Daughter of Babylon, doomed to destruction,
happy is he who repays you
for what you have done to us-
he who seizes your infants
and dashes them against the rocks.

See, Lil_Rush, that's kinda what I said. Why is the thread still open, if people are not allowed to disagree on the subject ? But since it IS still open, and people are obviously upset, CAN we get some guidance? No, we don't need the full story, of why these 3-5 people got banned, but if it's not really a witch hunt, then the rest of us would like to know exactly where "the line" is. Yes, the Terms of Use say the admins can do whatever they want, more or less, but what do you actually ban for? I.e. there is also mention of the 66 books of the Bible. But if that's the cause of the ban, it would seem that non-believers, as well as Catholics, Orthodox, JW's, Mormons, Muslims and Jews, are not welcome here. And then, that would sorta put Adventists on the fence, too. I mean, in truth, they don't consider Ellen White scripture, but a lot of people THINK they do (and there may be some extra-devout SDAs that do). Is that relatively accurate, or was it something else? It would definitely appear that more than just the Messianics are gone.

If you do not believe the whole Bible is inerrant then we should just throw all of it out. Who are we to pick and choose what God really said and what He didn;t.Who are we to tell God want He must think or say?

Who is anybody, to do that? And more importantly, if we believe that the Catholic church was led by God, and that's why the canon is perfect, why aren't we all just Catholic ?

For the record I had no part in their banning. I didn't report their posts or anything like that. Mobius and other's views about the apostle Paul have been well known for at least a few weeks, based on other discussions. I merely opened up a thread to address that topic specifically. I was and still am genuinely interested in and waiting for the proof they claimed to have had had where Jesus said the apostle Paul was not a real apostle.

If there is an issue with my claim that "if you reject Paul you aren't a follower of Christ", I can highlight the number of occasions where Messianic Jews in here have indicated that those not following God's laws or keeping the Law of Moses according to their standard, are not following God.

Nonetheless I know of Messianic Jews who love the apostle Paul and don't have their knickers in a twist about associating with Christians or Christian beliefs. Which leads me to suspect that these sorts of Messianic Jews who reject the gospel of Paul are merely Jews who acknowledge Christ as only a special prophet. Just like Mulsims revere Christ as a prophet.

As a latecomer, I would be interested to see that, if you know some threads off the top of your head. Probably it was just a bad time to be a noob lol. But since there's no official statement from management, I'd definitely be interested in anything to shed some light on what these half dozen did, so we can avoid doing whatever it was.

They can't really do that when they are banned, now can they?

Read through this thread, they said most of the N.T. is a lie, and that Paul was a false apostle.

Yes the Jews that were here were not Messianic at all.

Um, actually, not according to the contact page:
All that means, is if you send an email don't get all upset if you don't get an instant reply.

Yes, this is a FREE site, hence we don't have staff to cater to every chatter back and call.

But that 'cntact us' link IS the place to send the emails. The address is actually [email protected]

If a banned chatter wishes to plead their case, then they should shoot through their email to that address, all the while bearing in mind that it may take SOME TIME to get a response. We get a massive amount of people appealing their bans. Those emails are ONLY answered by RoboOp, and he's the busiest guy on the planet.

So, basically, if anyone wants to appeal, by all means send through and email, just don't expect an INSTANT reply. It's physically not possible. Usually Robo will be attending to a MASSIVE backlog of emails at once.

Hope that makes sense.

No i am not are you? I love my Messianic brothers, and sister, and i know that they accept the whole of the N.T. and believe that Jesus was God. Those that were here claiming to be Messianic believed neither of these.
